Most of the people have thoughts and opinions about this style of music; They believe that musicians who play music in the streets are unemployed, beggars or homeless people who do this; But the performance of this music is common and generally accepted in most countries of the world; Even many western musicians and professors perform street music and many times perform this art in the form of "street music festival".
That is, some of these people do not have such a problem financially and they mostly do this to become known and famous because most of these artists are young and looking for a name, another reason can be a reaction to the social, economic and cultural situation; In fact, it can be said that the performance of this music is a kind of protest against the existing situation. Undoubtedly, their most important goal in this work is the economic goal, earning money and making a living, on the contrary, there are also musicians or groups that have a motive and a reason apart from economic conditions.
میان اکثر مردم افکار و دیدگاه هایی نسبت به این شیوه موسیقی وجود دارد؛ آن‌ها باور دارند که نوازندگانی که در خیابان‌ها موسیقی اجرا می‌کنند افرادی بیکار،گدا یا بی سرپناه هستند که این کار را انجام می‌دهند؛ اما اجرای این موسیقی در بیشتر کشورهای دنیا امری رایج و مقبول عام است؛ حتی خیلی از نوازنده‌ها و اساتید بنام غربی هم موسیقی‌های خیابانی اجرا می‌کنند و بارها در قالب "جشنواره ی موسیقی خیابانی" به اجرای این هنر می‌پردازند.
یعنی برخی از این افراد از لحاظ مالی مشکل آنچنانی ندارند و بیشتر برای شناخته شدن و معروف شدن این کار را انجام می‌دهند‌ چون اغلب این هنرمندها جوان هستند و جویای نام، یک دلیل دیگر هم می‌تواند واکنش به اوضاع اجتماعی، اقتصادی و فرهنگی باشد؛ در واقع می‌توان گفت که اجرای این موسیقی به نوعی اعتراض به وضعیت موجود است. بدون شک مهمترین هدفشان از این کار هدف اقتصادی، کسب درآمد و امرار معاش است، برعکس نوازندگان یا گروه هایی هم هستند که انگیزه و دلیلی جدا از شرایط اقتصادی دارند.
