    Just found this pattern, and bought it on Ravelry .
    Loved it so much, I jumped the gun, did the foundation row then the FPDC/BPDC … but paused the pattern and made 6 rows of the ribbed pattern, instead of alternating them to create the rice texture … BUT, I LOVE the way the ribbing looks, so that’s going to be one of my stripes, lol

    Hey Ali! I'm actually not planning on making this scarf right now, but popped this video on this morning while making and eating my breakfast, brushing teeth, etc. I would definitely consider making this in 2023 though!
    I'm enjoying "previewing" the projects without actually making them in that moment. It's definitely an enjoyable viewing and listening experience to just observe and absorb the information ahead of time before choosing a project.
    With this particular project, I LOVE how proficiently you covered all of the information, provided so many options to suit everyone's needs or preferences, and literally answered all of my questions before I could even ask them! For example, I was curious if the tassels/fringe could be omitted, and it can. Although I will say with the twist technique in this pattern, the tassels seem a bit more appealing (I dislike single "bits of yarn strands" attached to blankets and scarves lol) but the ones you've included are far more upscale!
    And all of your patterns are so beautiful and aesthetic, yet still practical and functional. I am anticipating even MORE traffic on this channel for you as time moves forward! As always, I must say that your videos really do stand out from the rest out there! You accommodate ALL skill levels so seamlessly!
    You are SO THOROUGH with your presentation and teaching skills. For instance, the coverage of materials required and size charts and consistent in all of your videos.
    Your skills are comparable to the highly sought-after corporate training that big companies pay the educators lots of money to come in and train their staff to achieve high standards... no joke!
    Anyway, sorry for the long comment, just figured I'd let you know that you are awesome and your skills are admirable and exceptional Ali! 😍

    I just made another one of these shawls, and did the alternating post stitches instead of the ribbing effect (my oops). I absolutely love it. Not usually a fan of the fall color scheme, but I love it. For a shawl, tho, I think next time I’ll do 8 rows of each to make it wider like I like. LOVE this pattern - next might be in a solid color to accentuate the texture.

    Would be interesting to change pattern entirely on each of the colors, leaving color A with same pattern.

    Hi, love your Bonefire scarf, I have start to crochet with à 6.5m hook and Bernat super value yarn. After the 4 stripe I have mesure the lengh and its way to small 🥺 46" long and the high is 7 3/4 🥺. I usualy do not crochet tight. What is the best to do change crochet are mesure the HDC for 3 X 3 inch and add stitches. Thank you for your help.

    • @TheTurtleTrunk
      @TheTurtleTrunk  Год назад

      Hi! if your gauge is 141 stitches = 46" long, you will need to work 183 stitches to get 60". The yarn you are using may just be slightly thinner than what I used so that is probably why yours is a bit smaller. You can also wet or steam block your scarf when you're all done which will help relax the stitches and stretch it out a bit!

    • @TheTurtleTrunk
      @TheTurtleTrunk  Год назад +1

      Hi! You will want to chain 2 more than the number of stitches, then you will work the 1st DC for Row 1 into the 3rd chain from the hook.

      Is it the length or width of the stripes that are too small? You could work more stitches across or work more rows if needed. You could also try going up a hook size or 2!
