6:29 - 8:30 This part is haunting. So crisp, delicate, very celestial, very cosmic. It's the kind of music you can listen to stargazing, or on a hike or a stroll in the woods, taking in the wonders of nature. It has stuck with me ever since the first time listening to it.
Even though Zimmer used some elements from his previous works - 《On Stranger Tide OST - Mermaids》, but he has refined it and made it embody Arrakis style.

@@severallybrianth6557 I knew I heard that hauting singing somewhere before!!!!
This is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in a long time. I really think this is Zimmer's best work. Better than Inception, better than the Dark Knight trilogy. This song captures the feeling of the numinous desert in a way that I haven't heard any other music do. What a privilege to listen to this!
How could anyone hate this piece of art? Maybe this isn't everyone's style of music to love, but anyone who could honestly say that this piece isn't beautiful has no heart. Absolutely amazing.
The moment that I realized that 9:50 to 11:50 is literally the theme from “Paul’s Dream” and the theme from the beginning of “The Shortening of the Way” playing over each other was one of the most beautiful moments of realization I’ve had in a long time.
Never heard something so extraordinary beautiful before ... I say it again - BREATHTAKING - what a magical journey without and within time and space ... written for eternity ...
I wanna know those sounds that starts at 11:51 until 14:30. Sounds like an electronic kind of synth or it's something else. Possibly some kind of arpeggio or something to that effect. It's gives me chills every time I hear it with the choirs, strings, brass and bass. Reminds of me one of the pieces of Xperiments from Dark Phoenix.
I wouldn't rule out manipulated plucked strings. Definitely some square wave playing arpeggios, but the other high-pitched sound really sounds like something that Hans distorted.
*some light spoilers to the books ahead* When I hear this, I see it as Paul peering into the future in the Spice trance, seeing the fate of his current and soon to be comrades, of his House, sees his Chani and their years together, and then he tries to push further to see beyond, and he first sees the terrible Jihad, and then from 13:00 he finally gets it - he sees his true terrible purpose, the Golden Path, the only way for humanity to survive. But he also sees all the horrors that must be done to track this path, and all the inhumane suffering he'd have to have. He loses his spirit (at 15:00) and understands that he just can't cut it, it is a burden to heavy for him. He hears a voice (what he perceives as Chani) consoling him, trying to calm him down and ease his weeping soul. And it is here that he finally decides that the Golden Path must be done, but that he must commit another sin and force this burden on his children.
Potc 4 Mermaids, coupled with some synths and sound design and this is what you come up with. Same chord progression, boring, messy and mediocre. Waste of potential.
Hans Zimmer is the poet of the soundtrack world.
This is phenomenal.
Yaşıyorsun halen he
This music is a culture... it's a planet... it's DUNE
6:29.. the sound of desert..the sand.. the wind that moves the dunes..
SO HAUNTING ! ! !
Zimmer already deserves an oscar for this movie. No competition, this award is already for you.
if there is an oscar for the most boring music, that would be granted
@Arthur Flowerkis it's even funnier to think of them in competition given they have collaborated and Hans loves the TWBB score

My favourite part. Truly captures the grand scale of the whole Dune story and universe. Beautiful, epic, mysterious
@@J.Michael-yv4hr : yes, totally. Frank did a lot of shrooms back in the day, that was his inspiration for Melange and its effects

I love Hans Zimmer, his music makes the movies epic 12:25 .
these orient orientated slow and calm sounds are so satisfying. Hopefully Zimmer used also the Duduk in some songs

11:50 to 12:29 is simply magical. Mystical and ethereal.
Hans Zimmer is just the best at what he does. Truly masterful work.
Beautiful beyond words.
i'll watch this movie at IMAX no matter what, at all costs on Earth.

6:15 I think the back flappy sound should be what ornithoptere looks like in the movie. I hope so much because it's so beautiful and accurate.
Masterpiece !!!

Part 3 Messiah now 😉
It's a shame this isn't in the movie. It's so beautiful. I could totally see 9:50 and on playing when the Atreides arrive on Arrakis.
I'm sure a lot of themes from this will be repurposed and edited to the best components in the final OST.
The House atreides track plays when they arrive on arrakis.

Fair enough. It's just the sketchbook though. The OST is much more refined, if less creative.
