- HERE’S WHY Yuji Nishida Was Unstoppable in 2019 !!! Yuji Nishida (西田 有志, Nishida Yūji, born 30 January 2000) is a Japanese left-handed volleyball player. Currently Nishida plays for Panasonic Panthers at club level.
Nishida's volleyball journey began in 2018 with JTEKT Stings in V.League. At just 17, he quickly secured a spot in the Starting 6 and the Japan men's national team. His leadership led Japan to a historic seventh-place finish at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
In 2018, he made his international debut and played a pivotal role in Japan's first win against Italy in 11 years. Nishida also became the youngest player to score 30 points in a match during the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship.
In 2019, he set a VNL record with 7 aces in a single game. Nishida later joined Italy's Volley Callipo, where he excelled despite injury, becoming the team's top scorer with a personal record of 29 points and 8 aces in one match during the 2021/22 season.

Just to give you an insight, before the VNL 2023, Yuji suffered from a "weird disease" where he is having a constant high fever from "unknown reason" even after a series of test, his team are unable to detect the cause. That causes his mental health to deteriorate. So before you ruthlessly criticize him, remember that this man is already in pain.
I think 2022 vnl Yuji he was at his best so far. He was absolutely on fire in last years vnl. The injuries have taken their toll on him for sure but I still think his peak is yet to come . I wish he would have continued to play in Italy, it would’ve helped his game continue to grow like it did for ran.
His peak is already done! his first appearance as a National Team was his best. Miyaura is a the new rising star sooner he will replaced Nishida in the starting line up! sad Nishida just started her career , but he still really good, but henis not consistent anymore.
@@raynritter4228 while yes nishida’s play is inconsistent at times he still has a lot of room to improve and get better. I love what Miyaura brings to team japan he was definitely the better player in this years vnl but I still believe Nishida’s best is yet to come. He has suffered some type of injury in his past 3 consecutive pro league seasons and then again with a setback in the finals of the vnl this year. If he can overcome the injuries and stay healthy I have no doubt he will bounce back and show everyone that he is still a dominant force.
Undeniably, Miyaura did so well this VNL season and played even better than Nishida but I think it's too early to say that Kento will replace Yuji in no time. Only time will tell, how Kento would be able to perform after being well scouted and studied by the opposing teams. Having both of them in the team is a good problem tho.
I still love Nishida but No. 11 Nishida was something else.
Yep 2019 was probably his best so far
cuz literally everytime the blockers are usually are late for most of his attacks cuz he literally puts his weight and explosiveness in his approach plus his nearly unpredictable spike directions.
And i also think is that during 2019 his body was very lean and light compared to his 2022-2023 body where he gain a few pounds of muscle and ofc not gonna leave out the fact he injured himself during that match in 2021.
If u notice in 2023 hes been blocked many times again and again cuz everyone probably also got to practice to counter his style when they experienced his prime during 2019-2020
This is one of the most accurate explanation that I have ever read so far regarding Nishida's condition. I totally agree with you brother.
All of his seasons are phenomenal. There's no doubt about it. Yeah, he was playing less in vnl 2023, due to back injury and a lot of people say that his prime was in 2019, which i also think is his best season, because of his speed and athleticism. I think he will be healthy for vnl 2024 and will dominate.
dude played on a handicap thays crazy
Nishida never dominated any international competition.
He's very impressive because of his jumping but he's small and the longer the game is the less points he scores .
Black haired Nishida is a chef kiss 🤌
Нишида супер! Он прыгает выше блокирующих,просто летит на мощную атаку!😍👍
But 2023 is when they were on a winning streak, beat most of the top team and won Bronze. I know it's a team effort but he contributed a lot to that.
This past vnl he maybe only had two good scoring games. Miyaura played majority of sets/games and often was top 3 scorer alongside ran and yuki.
Nishida clearly still dealing with injuries and we all hope he gets healthy as we have yet to see his peak imo.
@@trackhoodie1741 Its not anyone here, but I hate ppl hating on Nishida for his recent plays. They're saying that Miyaura surpassed Nishida, when nishida only had a recent downfall, and still could recover, Just give him his second chance ;-;
you can definitely see the change after his injury happened
he did so good because teams didn't know what to do about now they have strategies against him so he is still insane teams can just deal with him better
He was jumping higher back then
I think he's the best in the world for players within his height. Miyaura is taller than him and his plays are more impressive or at least he has played a lot more important games than Miyaura so far. It doesn't help that they have the same position and are on the same team. People are bound to compare them. They're both good but Nishida is still on a different level than Miyaura I may say.
2019 king of yuji nishida my best player❤
Nishida 2019 > all player..no doubt
XDDDD
Lebih ganas nishida di tahun 2019🤩
His best years in the VNL were in 2019 and 2022
USHIJIMA REAL LIFE
yes
Bro pls put training video
❤
✌
sad to say that miyaura will replace nishida one day
will be sooner than u think aswell imo
Because Miyaura is smarter, he decided to broaden his horizons by joining the Polish league instead of staying in Japan like Nishida. See the results?
@@ustkaball479Nishida went to Italy.
Miyaura simply more efficient player right now. Their play styles are different. But what a good problem to have, two left handed opposites with power on your roster.
I don't think so. But we'll see. Let's support both of them. Cheers!
First 🥲
Very impressive jumping and spiking but that's it .
Unfortunately he's to small to be at the top of the world
