Very unlikely I am afraid. WTR was just about coming out then, and adjustable anti friction plates (AFD) but they would not have been GripWalk compatible as that didnt come onto the market until the 2016/17 season.
I am confused. Have z12 fischer binding. They are not gripwalk. Yesterday bought new boots and they are with gripwalk soles. My ski service told me its everything fine and fits well. Is this right?
The Fischer Z12 (made by Tyrolia) is either non gripwalk (no logo on it) or gripwalk with the logo present. There is no grey area. If you now have gripwalk boots and the gripwalk soles are still fitted (logo stamped on them) and the binding is not gripwalk bindings with the logo then based on the info you have given the answer is no it’s not fine I hope this helps
@ yes we do this too, but this is gradually getting more difficult as stocks start to run down and new models such as the Nordica HF Pro and others do not offer the option. As Gripwalk is also now 7 years old it also is a timely reminder to get the bindings checked anyway as once they will start to degrade as they age…
Cat Tracks - protectors that stretch over the soles of the boots - are great at protecting boot soles especially on race boots that might not have sole plates. We are however finding - so far - that the modern materials being used in grip walk soles is pretty resilient as there is more “give” in them with grip levels similar to Cat Tracks, so they are not as prone to breaking up and avoids the need to stop and remove + store Cat Tracks on the mountain. But Cat Tracks are still a great idea if to are going to be doing a lot of walking in resort in your boots :)
These are brilliant!
Thanks. Never knew this. Cheers.
will a grip walk boot of today fit correctly in a binding from 2014?

It is called purchasing "Cat Tracks" that protect the souls of your ski boots.
