It's because even in college he wouldn't develop. Bronny is the smaa exact player as he was 2 years ago because he never works on his game and never had to. He grew up with everything handed to him and never had to work hard on the court for anything so it stunted his growth big time. He got handed McDonald's all American and that blew up his ego. He got scholarship to USC and that blew up his ego. And he had people like Gilbert Arenas and JJ Reddick telling him that he is NBA material and will be a great player like Jrue Holiday. This is the first time in his life that he has ever realized that he is not good at basketball so now his confidence is shot and he has no skills to leverage on the court because he can't shoot free throws, can't pass, can't handle the ball, can't run back in defense, can't inbound the ball. It's just crazy watching how lost he is on the court because I can't remember ever seeing a player this bad continue to keep getting 25+ minutes a game

The 55th pick excuse really doesn't hold any real weight. That's just where the Lakers landed. If they had the 31st pick, 32nd, 33rd etc... they STILL would have drafted Bronny. Rich Paul was making sure that no other team drafted him, because they fully intended to use their 2nd round pick on Bronny.
Prior to the NBA Draft, during the combines and stuff, real scouts had honestly reported that Bronny was not ready for the NBA. Now, everyone truly believes that and we all know he's years away from actually being ready. This is all on LeBron, for wanting to use his son as another accolade to his career( wanting to be the first father son to share the court).

Bronny was only in the All-American game because his father is Lebron, not because he was actually good. Bronny rode the bench from Freshman to Junior year in high school. Then averaged 13 ppg, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists as a starting Senior. That’s not even close to an All-American, let alone somebody getting a scholarship to a D1 school with those stats.

Aaron Wiggins averaged 11ppg 4.8rpg and 2.4apg in his summer league debut. He was the 55th pick. He signed a two way contract first before getting a guaranteed deal. Bronny is nowhere near as talented as Wiggins. Yet Bronny already has a multi-year guaranteed contract? MAKE THAT MAKE SENSE. HE'S PLAYING BAD EVEN FOR A 55TH PICK.

High level glazing for Lebron Jr. It doesn’t matter what other 2nd round picks have done, they EARNED the right to be drafted on their own merit. Lebron Jr is awful: short, can’t shoot, can barely dribble, cant dribble with his left, can’t finish thru traffic, can’t play defense, is often times lost and finally is lazy, he doesn’t hustle. Actually watch the games instead of looking at stat sheets and highlights.

I think it's a little disingenuous to only single out the 55th pick in the draft from recent year. As there are 5 more picks after that slot, consist of players that could have be chosen at 55, and quite a few has stuck around the NBA. To say you shouldn't expect anything out of a player picked that low is maybe overlooking the accomplishments of some hard working guys like Paul Reed, Sam Merril, Jabari Walker..etc. Sure Isaiah Wong didn't do much on the NBA court but Trayce Jackson Davis became an integral part of the Warrior's youth movement only 2 picks later.
I'd go as far as to argue that because talent evaluation has gotten better and the level of overall talent has been steadily rising, 2nd round value has never been higher. It used to be a rarity that 2nd round player even make the NBA in any given season, but in the last decade or so, there has been an increase in teams finding rotation pieces in the 2nd round, maybe not quite a exactly 55, but it shouldn't be dismissed as trivial, either

The problem with Bronny isn't where he was selected or how he is playing, its the fact the Lakers are pretending the 55th pick is going to be a real player when in reality the 55th player almost never makes it to the NBA, much less on his deal. Don't first say Bronny is gonna be amazing, and then compensate by saying "well he just the 55th pick what did you expect". You can't have it both ways

Bronny James is a gamble at 55 on the possibility of him getting way better at shooting and thinking the fact that he's undersized won't matter as much defensively because of his athleticity. I understand the pick at 55, even if it wasn't for the Lakers.
It's 4 year contract deal though make absolutely no sense. He's not ready for the NBA at best other players would get a two way contract. Pacome Dadiet seems like a reach with his contract deal at the end of a first round and he's mountain ahead of Bronny in term of what he has shown against adult.
Denver need a functionning number 2, it's the elephant in the room really. Murray isn't even playing good last season, the second best player on this roster is Aaron Gordon because he knows what he does best and stick to it insanely well. Murray doesn't have the regularity that you want for an all star player so it doesn't matter when once every 5 games he's amazing in the 4th.
Pistons have a potentially decent team, with way better fits than before, but it's a big draft year, you don't want to win a lot of games and they might make sure it happens one way or another.

I think you're significantly underrating the Pistons' offseason. Let's put the players aside for a moment. The Pistons just underwent a regime change after hiring Trajan Langdon. Troy Weaver, the man responsible for the Killian Hayes draft pick you complained about, was fired. Weaver sucked at trades, and we were fleeced multiple times with him in charge. We also fired Money Williams and hired a coach who actually wants to be here. We brought in J.B. Bickerstaff, who coached a young Cleveland team from being one of the bottom teams in the East to playoff contention. The Pistons acquired Fred Vinson, arguably one of the best shooting coaches in the world.
Now, let's look at the draft picks. Ron Holland is a wing with one of the best upsides in his draft, and Bobby Bobi Klintman is a shooting big who should have never fallen to the second round while getting draft capital in return for drafting him. Regarding free agency, the Pistons acquired Malik Beasley, Tim Hardaway Jr., Tobias Harris, Wendell Moore Jr., and Paul Reed. Some of these guys space the floor, most played 70+ games last season (since the Pistons dealt with injury problems last year), and they all still have gas left in the tank to contribute and be vets on the floor for these young guys. With these acquisitions, this could possibly be the best roster this front office has put around Cade. Look forward to seeing his name next season.
Furthermore, the Pistons made these roster changes while keeping the cap low and acquiring draft assets. We can still make a trade or facilitate one should the front office decide to do so.
