37 weeks now and this is exactly the information I have been needing. I’ve been having bouts of pain, but nothing that seems rhythmic. Seems to possibly be related to how baby is positioned as the pain seems to include round ligament pain & lightning crotch, maybe even pelvic girdle pain. My anxiety goes wild wondering if I’m having contractions.
Thank you for this information! Could you do a video on coupling or tripling contractions (or point me in the right direction if you already have 😊)? I had these with my daughter & felt like I never got a break in between so I ended up with an epidural. As far as I have researched, this has to do with the position of the baby, right?
I agree that it was likely due to baby’s position. If that happens I usually suggest aggressive position changes…meaning, change positions every 10-15 minutes to try and get the coupling to stop. I’d start with asymmetric positions. That coupling is rough!
@@birthtoolbox interesting! Yes I was in the bed & not doing a lot of movement. It wasn't that the nurses told me to stay in bed, I just didn't know I could move around & was honestly scared. I am currently 31 weeks & learning as much as I can to prepare for a natural birth. Your videos have been very informative & empowering! I saw you have a video on asymmetrical positions so I will check it out!
@@gabriellaforeman5469 you aren’t alone! Many people stay in bed waiting to be given permission to move. If you need more resources, check out my online class at Birthtoolbox.com
The most surprising thing to me with my first was realizing that the feeling like I needed to poop was actually contractions/need to push lol. I just kept thinking I was constipated.

Question about that, were you induced?
@@birthtoolbox no I was not. I went into labor at 36 weeks & 2 days.
