We are going to do this for a church painting party event. Thanks for the clear instruction! How long should we allow in our scheduling for the background paint to dry before continuing the painting?
That’s awesome I’m so glad you will all be painting along. It depends on how much paint you use, and the climate. Thin layer, dry climate, the paint will be dry in 5-10 minutes, thicker layers and a wetter climate could take up to 20, maybe even 30 if it’s really thick, but the amount I use in the painting example dries in less than 10.
Super cute drawing Skye, he looks like a cool head, and makes me excited about snow coming soon! 💞🥰❤️ Come by and say hello if you get a chance, we'd love to share our latest 😊❤️
We are having a family Thanksgiving/Christmas kickoff get together next weekend and will all be following along with you on this tutorial, painting together as a family. What size canvas are you using here? 11x14? Thank you and we look forward to becoming future artist! lol
I think it really depends on the kids. I usually recommend around 10 and up? It looks simple but kids need a bit more dexterity still. Probably still worth a try though! I know I was a painting machine at that age 💖🎨
I'm a fourth grade teacher and I'd like to do this art project next week, however we don't have good paint brushes and because of the limited budget, the district/school cannot afford them. Do you think Dollar Tree paint brushes would work ok? (I can afford 20 of each size, I guess.)
Hi there! So happy to hear that you all will be getting creative, I understand the financial constraints. If you can, test out the brushes to see if they fall apart in the paint, oftentimes cheap brushes do but sometimes you can find good ones! Sometimes you just have to work with what you got, I'm sure it'll be manageable still. Also you may be able to use just two brushes per painter, big and a detail, I use a mid-sized one for ease but it could be done with two and you would save a bit that way. Good luck! Let me know how it goes (:
Hi there, I host a paint night for my daughters friends each month with your videos. I was wondering if you have one with an American flag or something to do with Memorial Day that they can do this month :)
Hi Andrew! So happy to hear you all are having fun getting creative (: Yes I do have a flag painting that could be just perfect! ruclips.net/video/sj38fT5wLac/видео.html

I love that! Yes I am using an 11x14 but most rectangular canvases will work 💕☺️ sometimes I use 8x10 also. Hope you guys have a blast! ❄️
@@PaintAlongWithSkye, thank you so much for your fast response! 🥰
Amazing job 👍 👍

Doesn't snow in Florida. But I lived in NY and PA so it snowed.
What age are typically able to paint this? Are 1st and 2nd Grade too young?
