A very respected tackle store owner and former guide in Florida told me years ago to use a tube on a single bladed spinner bait while fishing in saltwater. Thanks for the reminder.

I do that on mister twister style spinners
I am a huge fan of a chattertube! For me, it's that subtle change-of-pace bait that can get a couple extra bites on a pressured fishery. And they are just as good in the weeds as a normal bladed jig.
It was awesome to try it for the first time. I was really pleased with it and especially how well the tube stayed up on the jighead. Looking forward to trying this more throughout the season for sure.

Caught fish on this setup last week, .. now a video on it 😅.... very timely my freind... the tube is one of my go to all summer
That’s awesome. I was really excited to try this.
Two more suggestions is you can soak an ear plug in scent and insert it in the tube. The other is to coat lightly the area where the blade hits the head to tone the noise down. I'm having better success doing this of late with black liquid rubber.

I would just about say that the hollow back would help with the bass sucking the bait in their mouth with all that hardware. Thanks buddy. I'd never thought about the bladed tube

@@SteveRogersOutdoors I had purchased 4 or 5 different colors online and they are very well made with large wide gap hooks, but smaller 1/4 oz size. I didn’t know they were articulated until I open the package, but kept them because of the price. Haven’t used them yet as the rains here in Oklahoma have kept me off the lakes.

this is super cool. ive been finding different ways of rigging plastics to catch fish and tubes are one of the things Im buying next. its a boomer bait lol so nobody throws them in our pressured ponds.
It is definitely a lure that gets overlooked a lot. They are sure great baits though.

I was pleased when trying it for the first time. Fun to experiment.
Zman EyeStrike chatterbait head + fluke is the DEAL. Most erratic combination I’ve ever seen. I’ve fooled myself throwing that bait. When I look away and my attention wanders, sometimes it will dart and dive and I swear something is going after my bait when it’s simply the bait itself.

I found a big difference, my 3/8 oz
Chatter tube ran as deep as my normal 1/2 oz chatter bait

I've used ribbon tail worms, so why not a tube!?!

This is just witchcraft, and I love it...
Are chatterbaits weedless
They act about the same as a regular jig pulling through the weeds. For sure will grab vegetation and not slip through it as nice as a Texas rig, but doesn’t do too bad.
