Hi there. I received my 1st nunchucks from a friend years ago. I was very proficient and had a great time and was very good ! Of course..life gets in the way. I've always loved practicing & recently bought hard foam practice nunchucks. But I think they are too large for my hands. I can't spin it around my hand.. Can you advise me on inches from my wrist to my elbow?
Hello! Some Nunchucks have different lengths of string/chain. It really all comes down to preference. I've never really used my arm as a measurement, but wouldn'tbesurprised if some people do. I have a video on making Nunchucks, and in it I show how to lengthen the string. Without seeing your situation in person it's a little hard to give my advice. I hope I helped a little though!
What's the best way to adjust the length of a chain? My first set felt too long so I took out a chain link but now that I have gotten a bit better I'm noticing everyone else doesn't mess with the chain. I'm a skinny dude if that makes a difference.
I'm not really sure. I'm sorry I don't have a scale or I'd measure them for you. If I had to describe them I'd say that they are comparable to my foam training chucks. They are made of rattan.

I've never shortened the chain or seen anyone do it.
The weapon should be tailored to you though. If it worksfor you then by all means do it!👍

Is the cord on the numchucks stretchy?
No, it doesn't have any give to it. That is an interesting idea though. I know I can get some elastic paracord, I might try it.
