- In my initial watch collecting frenzy I bought the Seiko conceptual SUR309p1 as a bit of a stop-gap whilst waiting for another. it is part of Seiko's Conceptual entry level range but really offers a huge amount for a reasonable budget, with many features found on far more expensive Seikos. They are now hard to find as they simply offered so much!
Hardly worn, I considered selling, but was rescued from a potential mistake, just in time, by a strap change. This nato strap brings the watch alive and allows it to shine.
Such a perfect time piece
I just bought this watch a few days ago. It was on sale for $200 it came with a nice box and card with warranty. I was drawn to its slim look and beautiful blue burst dial with sapphire crystal. The band is a little cheap squeaky stainless steel but i can always change it. Overall I am very pleased with this watch. Well worth it.
Yes good value. The bracelet does its job
This was at my local jeweler for $250 and it was marked down 50%!!! So I got a really nice dark brown leather alligator strap for it. I also replace the gold buckle with a stainless buckle. It's a super nice everyday / dress watch. Altogether I think it was $173! What a steal
Can't do better really. Should stand the test of time with the Sapphire
The thing I love about that are the pointy hands. It's a quirk of mine. For some reason I'm not fond of squared off hands. Pointy hands just look far more stylish, sleek and expensive to me. Love these old Seikos.
Yes I'm finding the same, regardless of the make

I have the blue one and the silver one. In addition, I also have the street wear black Dale with the big date. I was able to sell my Saab 033 and purchase all three of these watches. I have gone 100% courts at this point. My grail watch is a 9F grand Seiko.
Interesting you sold the sarb for these. I bought this originally as I thought the sarb too pricey and the appeal is very similar. I have a 9f GS video on here also
This is the watch I wear when traveling. It works in every situation
A sapphire crystal on a rather cheap quartz Seiko? I'm surprised. Nice watch though.
Yes, they offered a lot. Shame they cant include Sapphire in some of the newer 60s style watches
@@perfectwrist23 Weren't you just saying in the video you're on on the straight and narrow now? 😂I searched up this watch even though I own it to rekindle my appreciation for it and not spend any more money unnecessarily. It really is a great watch.
What was wrong with the stock bracelet?
Nothing. Perfectly fine. Was a phase. Have gone back to bracelets for many
Hey, i ordered that watch and its my first ever watch. You mentioned that its waterproof until around 100m. How about scratches on the glass? Does the watch get scratches easily?
No, it's Sapphire
