A recent development is private ore roads, at least one has 330 tonnes road trains
There was this guy at Bourke who hooked up 21 something trailers
Respect people with them keys %100
I've always wanted to drive land trains. But here in the States, doubles was the best I could do.
´this thing vvöz aböve me. 20 yärds..? almost tv hörizen´$?? it blöcked out the stärß ^ ^ - ´dp ^^
I would drive a road train in a minute I would love the challenge of it and over there truckers stick together like it used to be in America
Don't forget you could be 500 miles from no where at times. Australia is just smaller than the USA by area, with 26 million population and 90 % of that is within 20 miles of the coast. Takes a special breed to do it.
Come on over. Give it a go.
Yes I would love to drive a road train
Aussie trucks ❤
Would love to drive one !
At 1:24 you are looking at probably around 100 to 170 tonnes of high explosive 🙂 depending o the number of trailers.
Oh, and by the way, a fully loaded road train will come to a complete stop from around 100 Km/h in its own length. 500 metres, who was pulling your tassel?
Hitting camels or cattle will be serious, but, hitting a roo or emu wouldn't even register.
And you didn't even show the biggest regular use road train. Look up the Centipede. There are 2 of them and the drag 6 trainers each. used to cart ore in Queensland - from memory.
Good video though. They are over 160 feet long, carry 205 tonne, and is powered y 500 Hp engines.
Any idea how much they get paid ?
Lots if you work your maximum hours.
India's should have similar truck on long routes.
Between 95k to 105K depending on contracts on average about $50.00 AUD per hour but there are stringent laws governing limitation of driving hours, fatigue management, some truckies driving regular trucks can earn up to $150K but that again depends on contract value. It is a very competitive industry.
Thank you for reply
@@TheYutongCaptain There's a serious shortage of drivers in the industry, I'm on over $55 bucks an hour and making 200k a year isn't that difficult.
I would love to see the thumbnail truck in reverse
How do these machines work so smoothly
