I was born in 1962, this song has great signification to me. This is my 62nd year living. I believe God moves as we are moved to pray and cry out for those who can not. Carman captured it in his music.

Carman got started in mid 80's. Petra is elite. One of the all-time great bands. The right hand of God in music. Petra almost invented Christian rock (almost) 1973-1985 was the first lead singer, 1986-2010's and off and on after that, was John Schlitt's Petra.

I suddenly had to stop watching for a few minutes, because...
...I KNEW the face of the guy in the white shirt, at 3:29 (and other spots). I couldn't think who it was, so I went to the video on Carman's page, and got a closer look. I was right! I know him (well...not know him, personally, but I know who he is)!!!
That is JOHN SCHLITT, from Petra. At 3:15 (and some other spots), I also saw who else I was looking for after discovering John S. It was JOHN LAWRY! So...in other words, the rest of the instrumentalists there are the rest of the (fairly new at that time) band...PETRA!!! WAY COOL!!!
You already reacted to Dan Vasc's "Beyond Belief" by Petra, when he got to collaborate with those same two gentlemen...who were just a TAD BIT more mature then, than they were in this video! 😀
I was using THAT song as a link in one of my own videos, when I discovered another one that I fell in love with, not long after John S. joined Petra (in that video, he looks just like he does here...probably the same year). It is named "Prayer." If you go to my 12/23/2023-Such Great Faith-Beyond Belief (09/07/2021) video, and skip to 11:02, you'll find the link to the song. It goes together VERY well, with this one!
Regarding the kids of today, coming out of the schoolrooms since 1962...this is one reason I'm really in love with the kids on YT who are promoting the Gospel these days (ones like Kadin Whitney and his friends). 😀

Carmelo Domenic Licciardello (January 19, 1956 - February 16, 2021), known by his stage name Carman, was an American contemporary Christian music singer, rapper, songwriter, television host and evangelist. He was nominated for four Grammys, and sold over 10 million records.

So now I just went back to hear the beginning of your reaction again, because you mentioned Petra, yourself there, near the end. I had missed that part of your intro! It was fun to just suddenly find them by myself, anyway. 😀

Here's another interesting thing I just realized. I was 12 when I turned my back on God (who didn't turn HIS on ME) for 14 years. I turned 12 in 1962. That's the year that people were telling my parents all the time, that I was just weird, because I was always telling them about knowing you-know-who, personally, (I can't say who...sigh...because my comment will very probably disappear).

Thank you VERY much for the reaction Matt, and thank you, Tricia for another very special request!

It's interesting when you are going through some things that you feel things differently. I literally felt this to my core today. Goosebumps and all. That doesn't happen a great deal.
It's so important to lift up and to pray for the younger people today more than ever. To support them when they want to serve God and find their way in His way. Truly, we need to support one another in our walk. Blessings

Carman was the real deal. Every song on every album is Spirit-filled fire. He was super popular, always drew large crowds to his concerts, but he almost always made sure that the shows were free because he wanted to spread the gospel free of charge to as many people as he could. Beside at least eleven studio albums of original music, he also did an album of 30 old church hymns, called "I Surrender All." I listen to that one just about every day. Some songs I'd recommend, in no particular order ... Radically Saved, Get Your Business Straight With God, Jesus Is the Light, Revival in the Land, Whiter Than Snow, The Well, Sunday's on the Way, The Light of Jesus to the World, Abundance of Rain, Shine Through Me, Addicted to Jesus. I could go on. I have 139 of his songs on my phone. :)

The girl that moves to John Schlitt's side with the Carman shirt is John's daughter and I think that's actually her school
