An interchange at the place Package 18 intersects the Mumbai Pune Expressway should be a no-brainer. How else to connect truck traffic from Pune and cities further south? It would also provide another access point for vehicles from Pune to the Samruddhi Mahamarg.

There is a section of [Delhi Mumbai Expressway] and [Virar Alibaug Multimodal Corridor] which have overlap in alignment. This is where I have read on twitter that there is going to a Morbe Interchange. This is suppose to be very big interchange but I haven't found enough info on it.

I think package 18 is now a part of the Virar Alibaug Multimodal corridor. While there is no official confirmation on this, if you check the alignment of both its looks absolutely identical and there is no way that both would be constructed. Also an interchange with Mumbai Pune Expressway and connection with MTHL has been planned in Virar Alibaug Multimodal corridor so that should link it to package 17 of Delhi Mumbai expressway

@@omkar2810sarvajanik hi, as I mentioned in my comment, there isnt an official article or announcement or source that I am aware of or have come across in my research, but based on the overlapping alignment of package 18 and the virar alibaug multimodal corridor, it only seems feasible that it will be merged into one project. And since the multimodal corridor crosses the Mumbai Pune expressway, it seems obvious there will be an interchange, however the multimodal corridor is still being planned so we will have to wait and watch
If from virar to khopoli, I couldn't access Mumbai Pune express highway ?, is there any chances to connect Delhi Mumbai expressway to Pune Mumbai expressway in near future ??

Why are all packages not developing simultaneously? One package is near completion, other is halfway and the next is not even begun! Don’t understand the reason. And the government doesn’t think it’s important to keep the people informed about the reasons for delays. People have to be thankful that someone is doing something.

It was same case and way more complicated in kerala NH66 section. But now the land is acquired and work for 6 lane 500kms highway is going fast. I think kerala section will finish by 2026 even before Mumbai Goa section. 😂😮
