Special thanks to Stan Prokopenko for contributing (and for being a good sport.) Also thanks to Electric Moo for custom sound design in the final sequence.

Anybody that knows Stan Prokopenko in real life can confirm that a smooth upbeat jazz track follows him everywhere.
Agreed
🤩
I always suspected.
I saw Proko at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and gesture drawing in the air in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen sticks of charcoal in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the sticks and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any anatomical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each stick and put them in a cart and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
@@joelgo13 wow
The art community is probably the most supportive one on RUclips. You won't find any other profession give so many well-produced, quality tips to its fledgling members.
Well, there are many resources but people on art communities are unsupportive and highly competitive.
Art is not a field I would recommend anyone for it's vast complexity.
Actually the chef/cooking community is like that too on RUclips
Riiight! Maybe not the most but it's certainly welcoming and encouraging.
In terms of production value I'd say it helps that we're artists and therefore have a higher likelihood of knowing our way around creating a visually pleasing video. More goes into the quality of a video such as script writing, the information provided, delivery and methods to retain a viewer's attention but at least those skills we have may facilitate a few of these.
IMO the fitness/bodybuilding community is also really supportive most of the time. No shaming a person for where they are now, but rather encouraging them to keep improving their health/physique.
the pro side, yes, definitely
When the world needed him the most
He’s back
Amazing, entertaining and soooo helpful.
I'm learning 😭 thank you
My teacher said : Good drawing + sloppy painting makes a masterpiece, while bad drawing with good painting will just be a polished turd.
hit me like truck
Fuck.
한구긴??
Haha, that’s a twisted way of looking at it 😆
and who says that a polished turd doesnt look good?
proko: starts talking
jazz music intensifies
haha
This episode is 11 minutes long. Oops. (I blame the ending sequence.)
Also, you can find both Glenn Vilppu and Steve Huston's lessons over at New Masters Academy!
And of course Proko at: ruclips.net/user/ProkoTV
Thanks for watching, everyone :)
Thanks for the video 💕
Thanks for the video marco
This is Great 👍 thank you!
Ty so much for these 10 minutes to better painting. So much knowledge so well organised in them!!!
I thought he was going to transform into a cubist painting
The Marco Bucci Extended Cinematic Universe expands further yet again
lol
lol
lol
lol
lol
next episode, Intern and Skelly switch masters
Why didn't I think of this.
It's al fun and games until Proko whips out the belt
yeah thats what I thought was going to happen
Skelly goes all Ray Harryhausen Jason and argonauts style on intern! Epic
Hell yeah!!!! ✨
I’ve just finished digitally coloring my graphic novel and I don’t think it would’ve been possible without your videos!
Great to hear! And congrats on finishing the project
I'm watching for the second time, so much amazing information in such a short video. I always love your videos. It helps me a lot in my journey :) Thank you a lot for sharing your knowledge in such a fun and inspiring way
I can't even imagine how hard is to create videos on such level with such a strong entertaining, educational and editing levels. Simply interesting are you editing videos on your own? But even if someone helping you, you a damn good!
Thanks! I do all this on my own. This series is especially time consuming to produce (it takes ... 3x as long to make one of these episodes as one of my regular RUclips videos), which is why I can only do an episode or two a year!
@@marcobucci Damn, they all so detailed, and have custom 3D and even 2D animations, it's insane! Keep it up, you help people in both knowledge and motivation!
1:22 that "ok" is the best thing i hearded in my life man so cute :C
This eleven minutes lesson worth a semester in school.
Also, Why are you censoring squidward's nose,, lmao
I feel bad watching this for free
oh so now the kangaroo man is gonna lecture me on anatomy?
Lmao
crawl back to 4chan, crab
permabeg spotted go back to /ic/
It's been 84 years... ;)
Good to see you and the intern back :D
This series had really helped me to understand and clarify problematic areas in my drawing and my knowledge...! Thank you for posting them
When the Intern said he knew an expert in anatomy. I immediately thought of Proko.
The whole production quality of this series is top notch, so I don't really mind if these videos don't come out as often, because when they do, I know I'm gonna enjoy them a lot (and learn from them too).
Greetings and thanks to you. I am from Egypt and I love the content that you provide and it has improved very much thanks to you
Hi Karim, how is life in Egypt? I lived there for 2 years 20 years ago. I enjoyed my time there so much. I hope you and your family and all Egyptians are taking care and safe from the Covid. I love drawing too. I learned so much from RUclips.
@@elsagrace3893 Thank you, my friend. Life in Egypt is now very beautiful. Despite this epidemic, people here are fine and I hope to see you soon in Egypt again.🤩❤️
Haha! Soldier of God is a great model. "I luh you", Marco! :D
Hahahaha
"What happen to you yoh s ehh"
@@marcobucci I see you're an mma fan. Anyways is that Calvin Kattar getting body kicked?
@@fakenamington6747 I am, and it is! Max Holloway's foot delivering some business there. Good eye :)
@@marcobucci That fight is amazing! It's a big fat highlight reel for Blessed. Amazing performance and deffo one of the best.
Really appreciate all the effort you put into methodically making your points and that too in such an entertaining manner-such an incredible and insightful video. Thank you!!
Let us all appreciate all the hard work put on this video, the moment his intern which is a 2d paint turn into animation you know that is dedication!!!
that little moment when marco comes back and youtube notifies you, it's called happiness
The obvious thought you put into everyone of your videos is always so apparent. From the simplification of details to your overall presentation.
This whole series is honestly priceless!
you can really see how much better Marco is getting at making videos
Thanks :)
@@marcobucci your the best online painting tcher ive ever found
your name is amazing
4:17 ahh the sketchdaily Model ^^
I allways ask myself what is so interesting in this hat :D
For decades,we asked the same thing to Annie Cordy.
Oh god, nobody who doesn't come from Belgium or France will understand what I'm referring to.
Man that was educated and entertained also, looks like a new intern will be needed for next episode or will be a mystery till next episode! Thank you for another excellent video!
Video interessante come sempre, grazie Marco ;)
The Proko bit had me laughing my ass off irl
I just finished watching all of your videos from this playlist, I really wish this series never ends. I could watch them just for fun everyday and I'm learning so much more. Feel blessed to have come across your channel. Thank you so much.
Holy moly another collab with proko, I'm so happy
we know all this... but how to draw faster without losing quality? i draw like slowpoke
My answer would be practice doing all the drawing steps and try to get a good grasp on your exact method you do it with and then try speeding up and minimizing quality damage. And to keep practicing building speed and maybe adjusting your technique to allow for quality and speed. I find using a heavily textured brush which i use to make my sketch block in forms add color and shadow and light helps ad its not only one tool but because its so textured it all looks far more deliberate while with using line art you have to focus far more on where you put each line to get a good peice and precision is your friend.
Maybe practice by repetition, it would be a good experiment since you'll be doing the same thing over and over until you notice an increase of speed, yes you'll become proficient at the thing you're repeating but you'll also build muscle memory to certain things being whatever you're practicing.
I think it's a good experiment I'll also be trying soon.
Deliberate practice and... Repetition, repetition, repetition. That will create the muscle memory that will allow you to draw fast and accurately
He's right!!
Stan has really come from Dr. Seuss dimension!!
"it's easy to get mired in anatomy"
Bucci confirmed for /fit/ poster
I came as soon as I heard!
Thank you sharing your wisdom and making these. Art and creativity are keeping us going during these hard times!
I just want to tell you how much I have learned from your tutorials recently. I hope you keep making this series, the videos have so much information and thought put into them, keep it up. 🙌
Intern..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Release the intern from limbo !! Make a sequel series and rescue him .....
I cant believe that a video from 2021 is nearly a year old..
With that out of the way, thank you so much. I have been pursuing digital art for years (Although im not always very commited) and I can tell you this 10 episode series I just binged has taught me more then I've learned in the past 2 years. I am so glad that you made this video, it helps so much mainly because it doesnt teach how to draw something, it teaches the rules to drawing anything; be that an underwater scene, a floating island or the international space station. Thank you so, so much.
My two favorite teachers in one vid 🤩 this makes me so happy 🎶
Cool and useful video! Production side is lit!
I love how Michelangelo's David is probably too much for YT.
Anyway, thank you for wonderful lesson, I learned about that stuff a week ago, but your explanation was much clearer.
Quality video and that “stan pro” part lmao
“Intern, the Proko-Verse”
If it's alright can you do how to do a lineless art?
Famous last words: "oh boi"
The intern is so lucky to work under Marco
I have a question, I've been drawing my whole life, I have my Bachelor's in fine arts and I've noticed I have almost 0 ability to draw from my imagination. It bothers me so much, I feel I have a strong foundation but it seems to get lost in translation when I try to create my own characters.
You could allways practice drawing from imagination. Like making a drawing based on a reference, then repeating the drawing but from a different angle, or repeat the drawing without looking at the reference and compare the two, etc. Im sure there are more exercises like that on the internet
@@AndreLuis-gw5ox Thank you
Bro you're the man teaching! Seriously, thanks
This series gives me life
It's a really good episode, Hell Yeah!!!
Your animations have improved a lot I congratulate you Marco! Thank you very much for this lesson!
The cliffhanger... Noooo!!!!!
These content are pure gold, we don't deserve you bucci❤️😭
Inspired by the alleged device known as the "Chronovisor"?
First time I really understood that cross contour lines are not just describing the surface but also behind. But how does one use this on the human torso which isn’t a box or a tube? I didn’t feel like I caught the whole concept in figure drawing class.....way back when we went to school. 🥲
it follows the form of whatever you're placing cross contours on, so it depends on the form itself.
Loving the way you keep including blender to complement the presentation, it's nice to see someone actually function in 3d when talking about 3d. Increasingly stellar presentation each video.
Marco you are a national treasure
UFC fan is here. Is this Rafael Fiziev in the first photo? And yes, Yoel Romero is a good example for this video
Nice! That’s Calvin Kattar in his recent fight against Max Holloway
@@marcobucci I thought so. It was a great fight
I watched the whole series for the *th time. It's still so informative, instructive, entertaining and gives me a big boost. Thank you very much, Marco.
OK I have a question: I'm trying to improve my (bad) drawing and I have "guard rails" for human figures (ie I still do a bad job but I can iterate and I know what's going on), but as soon as I try and draw an animal I'm lost. Dogs, horses, bears, no idea what I'm doing. I'm trying "easy mode" by drawing some monkeys but they are *hairy* and everything gets lost and is super hard. HELP!
Intern was sucked into the Prokoverse. Kingpin Marshall building a composition collider to reunite with his hair.
Calvin Kattar vs Max... I'm still shaking
Niiice.
The best collab doesn't exis.....
Loved the message in the end. Thanks for the tips, they are very helpful, will watch the whole series - I actually need so bad!
Marco sir. Hi, Im teaching an art to high school students in Korea. I think your videos are amazing and Ive been watching your videos like for 10times for each episodes, also show these vids to my students with horrible auto-translated subtitle. So I think that I should make subtitle to help my kids for better understanding. My English skill is not perfect but I think I got the point of these clips. It will be illegal if I make the Korean subtitle and post those on youtube?
Well, it's relatively easy to understand the principles of good character drawing. But how it would be in an environment painting? Are the same principles applicable in that case?
Plz do a video about mixing the gesture with the anatomy, or how to place to object like people standing far away can look smaller than near the camera, i find it difficult in drawing two people fighting. A video about gesture with foreshortening is even better, plz read my comment and respond
Your video came at the ride time, when I was having an art block crisis and didn't what I should be doing to get better. Thank you for your lessons!
Pardon me here. What's up with the Proko insertion? It's been years i had been into Proko's teaching. It turned me off as well as it was over-analysis for my intelligent. If the 'true fact', is real here. Guess i wasn't the only person who already stopped watching Proko for quite a while.
Man...too analytic theory is killing the fun to create art.
Asymptomatic host? Wish you a Speedy recovery Marco, you'll be fineee.
Marco Bucci... Perché mi suona italiano? Fantastici video comunque, uno più bello dell'altro
LETS F**** GOOOOOO!
The lesson I have learned from this series is Do Not Underpaid Your Intern :D (or they will start a youtube channel.
THANK YOU! thank you so much for making these videos!
5:36 Is that Calvin Kattar???? And you even got Yoel Romero I see we have an MMA fan. I use fighters as references for gesture and poses as well.
I'm amazed at how I jumped from evolutionary biology to drawing :)
Amazing videos, I really enjoyed watching them and learned a lot in the process, thanks.
I think Peter's bicep would foreshorten off his right shoulder, making the painting easier to do.
I hve a question...so usually when to draw,is it better to start with gesture first then form or the opposite?btw this vid is really helpful >
Sometimes i think we are so clever yet so stupid. We know everything about creation but we don't care about the creator
i love your painting series, and thanks for de knowledge, sensei
all your videos are amazing adn your a wonderful teach as well as a painter. please keep sharing your knowledge with the rest of us.
Great video! But how do you consider perspective and horizon lines in relation to form and gesture concepts?
You sir, are quite simply a genius! Presentation is everything.
😆 🤣 🤣 This was incredible!! Great episode!!
Leave it to Marco to teach all drawing fundamentals in under 10 minutes.. :)
Great video but that blurred out Michelangelo's David is soul crushing.
That was very brilliantly presented. Great work and thanks a lot for this and the other videos. I'm going to have to go watch them now!
Proko and bucci..... that’s all you need I promise!
1:02 Ah, those 90s FMV game aesthetics.
Or maybe 90s kids show.
i knew that Proko was coming. It`s like avengers for artist. Like omagod they are from one universe.
How about Vitor Belfort?
'The Brazilian TRT Crisis'
the real question is, does learning to paint help you with your lineart if youre a complete noob; or should you just keep doing gestures until you deem yourself good enough
I like that the intern showed Proko the video before the video was finished being made
please make an episode with full focus on values - im waiting 3 years for the it - Love from india
Are we getting a episode 11? I need more knoledge and these videos are fun plus I need to know plus I need to know if the inter is getting a job or a funeral.
