      The leap to say that all people love star wars is clearly innacurate, however your poll was useful in showing that there is a following for starwars. Similarly Lauren visiting country and talking to people on the ground will be helpful to give some insight on general trends, even if it doesnt act as large scale absolute blanket truths, it gives important firsthand info that cannot be known from raw data

    • @swanpride
      @swanpride 5 лет назад +46

      What rose were crimes which are directly connected to the process of crossing a border to ask for asylum (since it is technically an illegal border crossing, but unlike the US, Germany doesn't really make a distinction there) and petty theft (which, yeah, if happens if people have walked through Europe and are suddenly confronted with Supermarkets which are overflowing with stuff). It was a temporary bump but if you look at the long time trend, our crime rate is lower than it was since the 1990s. Little to worry about, other than idiots who attack other idiots over nothing.

No one talks about how IQ is rising the fastest in Africa while most other areas remain stagnant. We lived in an almost entirely white area no issues. I have also anecdotally found that I have a better command of the English language than alot of natives. I experienced this through university aswell and I was in stem.

      According to StatsCan (pulled from the wikipedia page below) those who report arabic as their mother tongue make up 1% of the population of the GTA, which is 1/4th of those who report Mandarin OR Cantonese. In fact, more people report Russian than Arabic. But I don't see her freaking out about either of those.

      @@theophilegaudin2329 The notion of data bias as a disqualifying factor comes from a post-positivist framework, basically, talking about statistics. (Oversimplifying things, but, close enough.)
      Constructivist research, like is common in anthropology and ethnographic research, acknowledges the potential impact of bias, but still absolutely takes 'anecdotes' seriously as a basis for research.
      "I went to a place and I spoke with a bunch of people" works as a research methodology that gets you published, in the right field. It's called convenience sampling. You have to account for the possibility of bias in who you speak with, but it doesn't invalidate your research, at worst its a limitation.
      The idea that going to a place and speaking with people on the ground is a less valid way to investigate the truth of a matter than going through statistics, if we're talking about a social issue, is a very strange take.

      What remains a problem is when someone (like Lauren in that debate) thinks that piling up videos out of context is equivalent to collecting data from a variety of sources. Viewing 1, 10, or 100 videos with migrant boats is not going to convince me that there is a migrant invasion. Data is not the plural of anecdotes.

      @FlyingFlamingFlamingos He said it himself over and over again in various videos that he wants the white population to decline, whites to be discriminated against in the job market, whites to not have children,etc. And no, stats don’t show how badly affected people are. And if you only believe statistics, it’s super obvious that the white population is declining and will go extinct if nothing happens. It’s super obvious that “diverse” areas in major European cities have more violent crime. Again - ask anyone who lives there! Destiny says “No talking to people doesn’t mean anything” instead of giving her an actual argument. I am so glad that Lauren and especially Mr Metokur obliterated him on his anti-white racism, so much that he was near crying at the end. He is a racist extremist and I am so glad that most people, especially those who are affected by the policy he promotes, see that.

    • @Onychoprion27
      @Onychoprion27 6 лет назад +74

      Well, it happened because European diseases wiped out ~ >90% of the native population, which destabilized the continent's political spheres. What remained were used one-against-the-other by European powers, and then those that were so-called allies of said powers were subsequently betrayed, and by then the combination of the above put the natives at a significant numerical and technological disadvantage.
      So yeah, the analogy would be apt, if you thought the immigrants coming to "the west" were a) bringing a super-deadly pandemic that'd wipe out the vast majority of "natives", and b) were wielding laser rifles and personal defense energy shields.

The Civil Rights movements and other progressive legislative improvements were hard-won victories, and worth fighting for, but the people who opposed such things didn't simply disappear, and a majority of them didn't change their minds, either.
      They just waited for their opportunity and that's where we are right now. It's sad, but I don't believe that you can get rid of irrational racism. The thing that really irks me the most about this debate with Islam is how every single Alt-righter and every single everyone always, always, ALWAYS ignores Saudi Arabia and Wahhabism. You want the explanation behind why Islam became more violent in the second half of the 20th century when it was following the same secularization route as the rest of the world until the US not only bowed down to Saudi oil interests and allowed them to push their ideology all over the world and cause this fucking mess.
    The reformation of Christianity had NOTHING to do with making it less violent or dangerous. It simply caused a breakup with the Roman Catholic church. I don't know much about it since the last time I studied the reformation was back in high school. But I'm pretty confident was that it wasn't that Christianity was changed, but simply that the church's grasp on government and people's daily lives was lessened. Nothing about the actual religion changed at all.
    If you want to follow that trail, then Islam HAS been reformed by Wahhabism. Wahhabism would still be the religious pariah of the world and it's followers seen as heretics by mainstream Muslims if it wasn't for the continual US support during the Cold War (and to this day). You want Muslims to be secular and more western-like? Get rid of Saudi Arabia and stop overthrowing secular regimes. The situation in the Middle East is almost entirely the fault of British and American interventionism since WW2.
    And all of these are facts.

    • @MalcH
      @MalcH 6 лет назад +68

      Hotshotter3000 you're spot on. Not often that anyone who talks about Islam even knows what Wahhabism is... Which means they aren't really well qualified to talk about it because they view Islam as some giant monolith without any variations. It's quite maddening. You seem to understand US "foreign policy" and how it has utterly destroyed the Middle East and egged on terrorism as a result. The US needs to withdraw from the Middle East and stop funding "moderate Rebels," who are terrorists only by another name. And yet Bolton, Trump, and Netanyahu are eager to invade Iran. It's very concerning.

      Like the Protestant churches theirs no saints and no pope while there is in Catholicism and there are a lot more theocratic debates between the denominations that can’t be simplified in one comment
      But because the reformation removed a human leader and made it more individual it reduced the violence in Christianity because there is no More an individual (the pope) that can tell all who follow Jesus to go kill this group of people without there being major backlash from all the other denominations

      Ryu Campaert The Palestinian people would be a more free and more prosperous people if they just gave up their dated notions of nationalism and religious zealotry. Just look at the Arabs who live in Tel Aviv. If Palestinians were left to their own devices, the country of Israel would look more like Jordan. Some inefficient and mismanaged despot. Also, minority and LGBT rights are much more protected in Israel than in Palestine and the Arab world. You have to think of everyone else that would be effected if you gave the government over to the Palestinians. Also, what do you propose happen to:
      1.) the Jews that lived their before the establishment of Israel?
      2.) The Jews who were born in Israel recently?
      Here’s the fact, most Israelis are actually for a 2 state solution with defensible borders. It is the Palestinians who are unplaceable and want to “push us into the Sea” as Arafat once said.

      Oldteach74 so what are you implying? That we’re both victims of the propaganda we gravitate to? Or are you under the assumption that a movement, largely funded and supported by radical Islamists, is an objective and fair actor in the geopolitical altercation? I would be for the Palestinian cause if it wasn’t ladened with religious fundamentalism (That’s how it was in the 1960-70s and I am more sympathetic to that iteration of Palestinian resistance when it was more secular). The current dynamic involves two oppressive ideologies (of varying degree) battling each other for dominance. My stance is the Israelis seem to be more competent and respect pluralism and secularism more as opposed to the Arab world. I think our relationship with Israel needs to be reeled back, but I don’t think Israel is the most evil country in the world as some leftist morons do. What makes what Israel is doing to the West Bank any different than what Turkey is doing to Cyprus or the Kurdish situation?

      Andrés Real My argument isn’t, “the Palestinians do it to, so therefore Israel is righteous or blameless”. So I don’t see how that’s an appeal to hypocrisy. Based on my comparative analysis, If the Palestinians had as much power as the Israelis, at this current moment in time, the Palestinians in power would be a much more sub-optimal situation as compared to the inverse. There’s is less of a will to compromise on the Palestinian side. As someone who actually lived there (lived in Jordan for 2 years which is pretty much 50% Palestinian), most of these people don’t want a two state solution. They would rather reduce their life to rubble and die trying to essentially ethnically cleanse the Levant of Jews than concede a little bit of pride and settle for a two state solution and actually make a concerted effort for peace. There was a Palestine in 1967, then they with the Arab world invaded Israel and lost pretty much all their territory. Although they had the technological and numerical advantage, they lost. They need to learn to accept history and quit with the militantism. If that stopped, you would see a restoration of civil life in Palestine.

I'm a real fascist, debate me any time, here, now. Unlike you I live in South Africa, my ideals are tested in reality. Secondly, smart boy, you clearly exhibit ignorance with regards to the subject of morality. You seem to think that there is some kind of absolute moral value, that all people should and must live by, which is ironically very fascist in nature because you force your ideals onto others. Morality is subjective, it's not set in stone. Somebody having a different set of morals than you does not make them less intelligent, this is why you're losing your country, so much ignorance.
      Lastly, in science it's understood that people of today stand upon the shoulders of giants. The majority of those giants, the vast majority, are of white Indo-European descent, and I'm willing to bet that the majority of those giants were themselves racist. Are you more intelligent then Euler? Don't think so. Henry Ford? Don't think so. Even many of those founders of your liberal ideology, like Voltaire, were in fact racists. Maybe you should read a book, and stop caring about how many likes you can get from people even dumber than you are.

I know people in south Africa that directly contradict what you say and so does the information. Your ideals have been tested and guess what they obviously don't work they don't make better societies. Who are you? You have no idea who I am, how are you gonna try to tell me what I do lol. It doesn't matter how smart you are (or in your case how smart you think you are), Nobody is incapable of being wrong about something. All the guys you mentioned like Voltaire were smart guys I don't think anyone will deny that. However the racial theories that they may have held or many german intellectuals like Nietzhe held were and are wrong and have proven scientifically to be wrong. @@vancepalizzi6701 So you imply that pre-Democratic rule in Europe was not more successful than democratic? I guess you must not know much about history, European empires were ruling the world until democracy slowly dismantled these societies from within. If fascism and authoritarian regimes are so unsuccessful, why was apartheid South Africa so powerful? We were 12th economy in the world, democracy has been such a failure even blacks who lived under apartheid are commending apartheid, you can look that up. If authoritarian regimes are so bad, then why do democratic countries feel the need to destabilize them? Take Libya as an example of where it was massively successful. All that is really happening, is that democracy is being replaced, and so like the old monarchies tried after the French Revolution, they are working together to overthrow what they perceive to be the political systems that will replace them. History clearly does repeat itself.
      www.thesouthafrican.com/zulu-king-praises-apartheid-government-lashes-out-at-anc/ - I guess democracy in South Africa is such a great success that we have gone from indisputable powerhouse of Africa, to the Banana Republic whose doctors and scientists prefer to leave for other countries. You could also google the employment statistics in the current democratic period, and apartheid periods. The rand used to be 2.50 dollar when I was a kid, now it's 14 to the dollar, you should also take into account that democratic South Africa has no sanctions against it, whilst the apartheid regime had heavier sanctions against them than Russia. Facts attest to the success of fascism in this country. Feelings and morals don't feed people, strong economies do. I guess Venezuela are learning that lesson right along with most black South Africans today.

There is only one race and it is the human race. This segregation of people by their skin color is racist. You worry about skin color more than economic and cultural growth. That is ridiculously racist.

    C-16 does not say you have to refer to someone as their preferred gender pronoun. It's literally not even close to that. It protected "gender expression" under their already existent human rights code. One of the protections that affords is "hate speech", which might sound like it implies you have to use a preferred pronoun... if you don't even bother to Google the phrase "hate speech Canadian law". In order to qualify as hate speech in Canada you literally have to ADVOCATE FOR A GENOCIDE. And not just like "it's white genocide because interracial sex is making white people browner". Genocide is strictly defined in Canadian law as well. The mass murder (

      @andrijadreznjak5100 5 лет назад +11

      Glenn Baier You are misinterpreting the data and you are mixing up the categories. No one said “white people” are committing the terrorist actions but “white supermacists” which is smaller organization than Islamic terrorist organizations who are direct reaction to the Western interventions and are coming from the war destroyed regions. So if you choose to take all the factors into account instead of committing the fallacy of the single cause you will see that “Islamic terrorism”, has much less to do with the Islam and much more to do with circumstances created around it (such as war, obliterated economy, civilians killed, destruction of the infrastructure, sociopathic behaviors created by the conditions etc) while “White nationalist terrorism” is directly related to white nationalism, - there may have been some individual circumstances that created fertile ground for developing such behavior (lack of self esteem, involuntary celibacy) , the general state of affairs are giving no valid “justification” for such behavior. So not only that it is more prevalent form of terrorism, but it also has a tendency to emerge simply out of “middle class fears” and nothing more. So in the end when you say White people therefore “white supermacy” and “Muslims” therefore “Islamic terrorism” those are two completely different categories. Islam is “ideology”, “white supermacy” is ideology, “white man” is a biological category of human (even though nonsensical), “muslims” is ideological category of human. By saying that “white nationalism” is somehow directly related to “white population” means that you consider “white identity” as an ideology. Superiority complex is not mandatory, not every people are in such sorry state that they have nothing else to be proud of but their race-like dogs.
      -And in the end some people above are comparing terrorism in the peaceful areas that are emerged in the peaceful areas with terrorism in war zones created by the west and then act surprised when even a small fraction of terrorism comes to the west.

    Just btw Lauren just lies about bill C-16, all it does is make it so transgender people can't be discriminated against. All that means is you can't deny employment, leases or services on the basis of gender identity. It also makes it a hate crime to commit crimes against someone on the basis of their gender. So if you attack a trans person because they are trans it is a hate crime and assault. You can still refer to them by whatever pronouns you want. The idea that you have to call them by whatever pronoun you want was bullshit circulated by Jordan Peterson because he conflated his university policy with the country law.

And not once have I, in person or in the papers, seen or heard of a person douchey enough to change their gender day by day and threaten prosecution if people don’t abide by their ridiculousness. It’s like the people against the bathroom bill. Some people literally thought if people have the right to go in which ever bathroom fits their gender identity that little girls would get assaulted and raped by grown men. It’s such a nothing crime because that shit doesn’t exist. People like Lauren fear monger like it’s their job, and in Lauren’s case it is her job.
