But something you may also want to know is this was also inspired by true events of a Puma which escaped Daejeon zoo through a door which had been left unlocked by a staff member. The Puma was hunted down, shot and killed after the tranquilizer they first shot it with did not work. This sparked many protests against zoos as many pointed out that the Puma had done nothing wrong and was just acting on instinct. It had not chosen to live in the zoo where it had been for 8 years and had escaped when the door had been left unlocked and had 4 hours of freedom and was shot not because it had done something but because of the fear that it may go into residential areas as it was getting dark. But I think they are taking this situation and comparing it to life as an Idol as you described as well.
