Thanks a lot for this video and your comments on the dashcamtalk forum. I have an A129 unit that was stuck on the logo screen and no amount of resets or firmware flashes would resolve it. I reseated the ribbon cable to the lens and now it's working again!
Great job solving your "stuck Logo" issue. Very common sensor ribbon cable issue caused by frequent Lens rotation to extremes which pulls on the cable, thats why its taped down. Suggest minimizing the Lens clicks to 5 or less, 7 or more is danger zone for cable disconnecting or breaking.
Confirm the Lens image quality issue by recording footage out open window after cleaning Lens with distilled water and/or isopropyl alcohol swabs + Reset Default Settings + Resolution=1080p + EV=0 + WDR=off + (Viofo FW v2.2 or MOD-8Wk). If image sharpness / focus remains poor contact VIOFO via service Ticket for replacement Lens module. Viofo Accessory page doesn't list Lens but you can request specific Lens from Support page by creating Ticket. Request perfectly focused A129 F1.6 coated Lens + sensor module, if ribbon cable was damaged get another. support.viofo.com/support/home

After 4 years, the sharpness of the A129 Duo camera has decreased drastically, would you recommend changing the lens + sensor module for this?
