    Learning and success doesn’t depend on school.Your perseverance or your hunger to learn and your faith in yourself and God put’s you to where you wanna be.

      Perseverance and hunger to learn, that's right. But what to learn, it is universities that guide the students. Small colleges are guiding students incorrectly, and even teaching inadequate knowledge and incorrect knowledge, their professors got their graduate degrees from other unknown small colleges that are too lax too loose too easy in handing their degrees. You ever heard of Silliman University? Try it there, go there, and you will understand what i am saying here.

    • @myrnamailom8911
      @myrnamailom8911 2 года назад +12

      There are times that learning and success do depend on the school, although not entirely. I was a product of a public school in the formative years in primary school, and private school / university during high school and college . It was my love for my course (BS Chemistry) and the confidence that I can make it that made me persevere in completing the course in the University of San Carlos inspite of the subjects being difficult (my batch started with 25 students in the 1st year but only 7 graduated). I had excellent professors who guided me well and made it possible for me to graduate as Cum laude.
      USC is a very well known university in the Visayas and Mindanao. That I graduated from said university made it possible for me to get employed immediately (after taking the board exams) in big companies and got promotions quickly bec.of my performance (manager at the age of 26 and Asst Vice president at the age of 36). While employed, I was part of the management team that interviewed prospective applicants for supervisory and managerial positions who would be groomed to occupy higher positions. The interview panel did put an importance on the school where the applicants graduated from. During my time, preference was given to graduates of De La Salle U, Ateneo, UP, Adamson, and Mapua. But we found out that graduating from such prestigious schools does not quarantee success.
      One applicant who graduated from Ateneo was employed (altho I turned him down bec.I saw a potential problem with his personality during the interview but the other executives gave him a passing mark). After going through the different departments where he failed to perform, I was tasked to give him a last chance and make a final evaluation. Before the new hiree completed the probationary period, I had to advise him to resign because he could not follow instructions and could not interact with his subordinates well. I told him perhaps he would be successful in another environment and he did succeed in another company.
      This is a case where the person's personality and attitude made him fail initially inspite of his good education. Thus, success may depend on which school he graduated from but it also depends largely on the person himself: the willingness to change himself to adapt in any working environment, the ability to contribute to the success of a company by achieving targets or goals set by the company ,and to motivate his subordinates to be productive and work as a team, all these regardless of his educational background.

      I'm kinda confused about where other comments are coming from... the video itself talks about "Top 15 Universities" and not about the individual achievements of each student who graduated at that specific school.. in short, it's an overall performance of the school.. topped because of the extracurriculars and other scholastic activities that must have been elevated and made it to the top. You see, it is accomplished not by just one student but by a set of participants or representatives in respective schools. I don't know what you are fighting for. Yes, indeed, you're right in your viewpoint that it's NOT about from where or what school you've graduated (obviously, everyone knows), and that it is about your determination to getting your goals and dreams in life become a reality (obviously, everyone knows). But then again, the video has nothing to do with your statements about the individual successes of a certain person who didn't graduate from the universities that were mentioned. In my opinion, it is true that these are the best universities in the Philippines and without a doubt, can make the Filipinos who graduated in the said list will well-known in any kind profession because of their intelligence and passion. Now, it is true that a top institution of excellence will help you to stand out and be more confident in working with the private companies, showbusiness, govt. agencies and even in the business world. However, it does not define your real passion. It must be a plus factor, but only you can make your name shine in the profession you have chosen... with a guidance from Almighty God is the best thing you have to be successful in life.

      I wish having good universities could equate to having good education. What does not makes sense is that Filipino's are always ranking last in education standard in Asia. Elementary/high school education curriculum is still based in 1940's platform. That has recently changed and added 2 more years in highschool but this is not enough. The government needs to invest more in education. Philippines cannot compete worldwide and always last among Asian countries. Studies after studies show that Philippine educational standard is declining.

      What is important to me is for students to be taught well and good and be employed. Lack of employment is the main problem and it's the duty of our government to provide. For your information, Filipinos are very competitive here and abroad. Don't you know that Filipinos are more in demand than other nationalities abroad? OFWs.

      @@janeyang6957 I know that Filipinos are well known and in demand abroad mostly for nurses and nannies, and they are seen as cheap labour to many other countries and that's the reason they are in demand. They do their job well for cheap cost. I am one of those Filipinos. Don't get me wrong, students are taught well and Filipino teachers are very good, but I think the education system should be overhauled. The curriculum itself is old and they are not up to par with what is required today. My sister is a supervisor of education there in Philippines and she tells me the same that the standard of education is declining. If you look at the ratings, we are the last of 79 countries in Asia. We have the lowest score in elementary math and sciences. When I was in highschool in the Philippines, we did not even cover calculus but in other Asian countries calculus is covered in highschool not college. Unfortunately the government is not investing enough money in education. If we are maintain our standards, we should look at school like Saint Louis University in Baguio city and other good schools as the BARE MINIMUM standard in education. We could do better.

      Do not include PMA because if it will be included it is suppose to be the best of the best because of its curriculum: academics and tactics. You must be physically, emotionally and intellectually fit to survive the academy. They only have limited courses at PMA and that is on engineering. kailngang magaling ka sa math at science dahil iyan ang karamihan na subject doon.

There are a lot of political figures now who graduated from those prestigious universities but ended up greedy and self centered and power blinds them. The post was all about the top 15 universities achieved because of their whole excellence not because of individual achievement or intelligence of a single student 😏 Just saying tho #shareLang

    Suggestion lang, lalo na mukhang guro supposedly ang channel na ito. Yung gamit ng Top 5 (or 4, 3, 8, 1, etc.) to mean yung rank nito ay mali. Kapag ang isang bagay ay pang-lima sa listahan, 5th siya, hindi siya Top 5. Kapag sinabi kasing Top 5, ang ibig talaga sabihin nuon ay yung limang nasa taas (kaya kasama ang 1 to 5). Ganun din sa kahit anong pwesto. Top 10 means, yung sampung kasama, hindi yung pang-sampu (10th yon). Ito ang isang kamaliang dapat nang maitama, lalo na kung totoong guro nga kayo.

      I seriously believe that this servey isn't that comprehensive when missing out Saint Louis University of Baguio. Where I've seen many prominent companies hire the graduates from this university. Like Intel, Simens, Texas, Etc...

    I would.like to mention the New Era University as one.of the best universities.

    • @alecks6991
      @alecks6991 2 года назад

      New Era actually is the number one university in the world,according to my source.it has beaten Harvard,Yale ,Cambridge and other elite schools for topnotch programs. All its graduates are working in the top Fortune 500 and highly steemed Hospitals globally. if one enters N.E.U ,they will be amazed as students are 95% Americans and British.You will never hear anybody speaking Tagalog.Para kang nasa ibang bansa.Iba talaga,super yaman pa mga students ,may mga private security guards pa almost every student at halos lahat may luxury cars pagpumasok. Super grabe talaga ang ganda parang ayaw ko nang umalis nang pumasok ako roon.
