  • Cutting the pipes under the house doesn't have to be a scary undertaking.
    1) Cut the pipe between the trap and sewer.
    2) Add a tee.
    3) Install a check value between the sewer pipe and the tee.
    4)Put a valve on the bottom of the tee.

    Would love to have this system for a cabin that we are rebuilding with a new septic system. Would love to divert Gray water from sewer. How can we ensure it would pass lake association and plumbing inspections?

    Update: you can reverse the direction of this flow. Sewer water going out the top and greywater flowing down through the gate valve.

    So, you are then venting the sewer/septic system into your grey water system. The check valve doesn’t work for gases.
