Honestly as a CS grad with no internships, this is also the way to go as companies will look past you once you graduated and tell you need more experience.
For those looking to host their portfolio or projects, Vercel is a great option. It's free, easy to use, and only takes a minute to set up if you have your git repo. Plus, you can customize your URL. Happy coding!🤓
Great video Tuomas and very realistic for a newbie. I’ve been working for a year in the field that I study in university and been putting up some works to transition into data analytics field. Currently taking course in Coursera and about to start personal projects to build my portfolio. Just in time when this video come, thanks a lot man!
I feel like I have had the experience to land a job but my resume has been holding me back. I want to thank you for making this because I have struggled to get a coding job and hopefully this helps! Great tips!
There are some videos that i dont like about your vlogs :D But in most of the times I appreciate your videos because I think the more long your videos are like 15 to 20 the more value we get about that. Usually when the topic is how to master in 1month JS or this kind of fast pace learning I really think its a trap for your as a vlog and we as audience dont get anything. I know that am generalizing it but usually i strongly believe that your growth as a vloger comes from this types of videos with that range of minutes. And i will support you for sure since i got my notifications ON but at least i want to give you an honest feedback
Hi Tuomas! Now i see you have already put your Deloitte experience in your CV, but what did you have before you even started the software developer job? How did you prepare your CV with the "no experience in SD area" ?
What are the skills/languages one would need to learn to make a large scale social media platform (android OS, iOS & website) possible? By the way, great RUclips channel!
Hello Sir, Thank you for your videos. They are really helpful. I would like to have advice regarding my situation. I have an IT background but during my whole career I worked in digital companies but not in coding. I'm now product manager in a digital company but I would like to do a switch in my career and become a software engineer. I recently got my Python certification and I'm starting to build a car rental project using django. I'll also build my personal website and another project. Could you please tell me how should I switch my career to becoming a dev and nail an interview and a job? Thank you again :)
Hi! I also worked in a tech job that was not software engineering and transitioned (my previous internship) - I think just learn to code on your own -> build projects -> make a resume and then apply. If your current company hires software engineers, transferring roles internally could be the easiest way. network within your company and ask around. This is how I got my SWE role. Good luck!
I've got a question, if i have worked for open source startup and ive done some work that is deployed on some page and is visible, should i put a link to this page or just only mention that i worked with this and that .. not sure if anyone will check those links ? i think those are pretty cool stuff to show so maybe wont hurt putting but i ve worked with like 5 different repos with different pages so i dont know if it will bloat the resume too much, hard to tell .. maybe i will just link the coolest/ most relevant things ive worked with
Are you self-taught software engineer or computer science ? I have watched your different sometimes you've said self-taught software engineer and sometimes self-taught computer science I'm kinda confused 🤔 aren't they different! BTW I've benefit from you good things tnx
It’s easy to build. With my website I’m optimizing for ease to build & maintain the best possible website rather than practicing my coding to code it from scratch.
Dude please consider changing your hairstyle, this one doesnt suit you at all, think about something where hair are forward. I dont mean it in mean way at all, I also thought having hairstyle something like yours looks good but trust me it doesnt. It will feel weird at first after hairstyle change but keep trying.
@@mogbp7775 I never said he looks bad or something he looks fine just different hairstyle would suit him better thats all :D That wasnt attempt to insult him or anything, I know it may sound rude, Im just being honest

Great video, could you talk more about the difference between software engineering and tech consulting. Thank you.
Hi Tuomas!
Now i see you have already put your Deloitte experience in your CV, but what did you have before you even started the software developer job? How did you prepare your CV with the "no experience in SD area" ?
Never realized you're Finnish. Somehow thought the accent is more Central/Eastern European lol. Torille!
Great video!! I would like to see how your resume looked like when you applied for your first software engineer job without any job experience
why should i use hostinger for hosting instead of github pages which is free?
Great video! Thank you.
Thanks for your video, good luck sir😎
Could you please update the Canva template? The current link is no longer working.
i want your day in life as a software engineer video
I cant belive that Bjorn from Vikings has a RUclips channel
Haha
Can you recommend a Javascript course? I would like to start from there while I'm working.

A shit load or rhem. HTML, css, JavaScript, angular, typescript, C#, 4-5 backend frameworks and databases and the list goes on
@@keylanoslokj1806 You’re right. As I’ve been reading & looking into it all, there’s a plethora of options to pick from. Appreciate your input!

Awesome video, i'haven't experience to work online, Can you advise me what to learn as a beginner to find a job online?
You should create an AI to make the resume. That would get some attention
That would be cool indeed!
Thank you so much
Any time

Hi, I've a doubt . Does the CV has to be one column or two column
hello is there a way to convert your resume template directly to word with all those little images?
What template is that?

hello
ama patrick i like your show so;i know html css java java sript but i need to
get a job
is linkedin necessary? i never had one
at least in the UK/US IO think it's helpful but not necessary. Might as well have a profile imo
LinkedIn is how I got scouted once back in 2020. I didn't pass the interview though and it was for a different field.
I am from sri lanka. Is there anyway to find remote internship in any country??
Why do you host on WordPress
