  • This video shows many of the modifications we have made to our 2022 Ontour 2.2. 'B' interiors are in many cases very similar and these ideas could apply to other manufactures RV's. Many are simple and others require woodworking skills and tools. In any case these modifications have made the using the new RV much more enjoyable. Hope they will give you some ideas of what you can do.

    Great video!! We bought our 2022 PW Ascent 3 months ago. First I did for the van was made the warm window curtains for all the windows and sliding door, they works great. They really keep the cold out and in the summer they will keep the heat out. You can see them in my video( the winterizing one). Safe travels!!

    Ingenuity at its finest👍 Wondered how you matched the drawer fronts to cabinet finish. clever. The G-kid bed came our great too. Quite Cozy. What memories you’re sharing for her. Good job. Enjoy.

      Thanks. The matching of the drawer fronts was easy......I used the door that I removed for the drawer fronts 🙂 The only thing was measure twice..make the three times....cut once. I hope to update this video in the near future with a few more things.

      One other ?. I understand lithium batteries don’t perform well
      in cold temps (30f below). Have you been affected by this living in Northern Canada? Tks

      @@auroranite We live in SE Michigan. The photographs were from winter trip to Michigan's UP. I made a battery warmer before last winter. Learned a lot and will make a better one this year. While at home the RV is plugged in to shore power and the battery warmer will turn on as required to keep the batteries at about 40f. We winter camp at Michigan State Parks in the winter and they have electrical hook-ups. The RV's propane furnace will also keep the batteries above freezing when set the RV thermostat to about 70f.

    The wood editions you made seemed to perfectly match the birchwood and are an inspiration. If correct, how did you match it so well? Thank you, be safe and well.

      I use Baltic Birch plywood and a clear water base varnish. If needed I tint the vanish with a little white latex paint.

    Those are some excellent ideas and tips. Thanks for making the video and showing them. How does your "junk" drawer by the access panel stay in place? Did you mount drawer slides or is it a friction fit?

      Thanks Afraid it is a work in progress. Added a magnet but it seems weak. Also added some of the fuzzy velcro to each side to stiffen it up. Would stay say though that it is still marginal.

    Would you like to come to BC Interior for a week of free camping, wine tours, etc etc. All we ask in return is for you to "mod" a few of these to our Ontour 2.2.... Hahahah

    So inspiring! Is the back table made by yourself? And what material? Is it real wood? 😊

    • @leonardsackett9568
      @leonardsackett9568  Год назад

      I use Baltic Birch for 99% of my projects (including that table). It is a very nice multi layer plywood that is very stable and strong because of the high number of layers it is made of. And yes I made the table myself. Thanks for asking

      @@leonardsackett9568 Hi Leonard. How thick was the Baltic Birch plywood that you used for the table top? It looks really nice and is a great idea!

    • @leonardsackett9568
      @leonardsackett9568  Год назад

      @@tinyhome306 Used 1/2" wood. With the edge boards the table looked 1" thick and very substantial. Note I rounded all edges and left no sharp corners. This was my fourth RV table. If I make another I think I would use 3/8" plywood and save some weight. Make it easier to handle. See the previous tables here for more ideas; ruclips.net/video/otPZTgHBsZo/видео.html All these slide shows (50 of them) are in
      my video file

      @@leonardsackett9568 Thanks for getting back to me. My husband said he is going to try to make the table with 3/8” plywood and wants to know the dimensions of the table including the extension and also if you used ½” plywood for the edge trim. We have a 2017 Pleasure Way XLTD and really enjoy it.

    I really prefer the Pleasure way Ontour 2.2 over the Coachmen Beyond. But the Beyond Li3 has a bigger battery system that would work best for my dogs. Is there any way to expand the Ontour's battery capacity? Would that mess up the touch screen functions?

    • @leonardsackett9568
      @leonardsackett9568  2 года назад +3

      I am hoping to replace the two 100AH batteries with two 206AH SOK's within the next year or so. Already have the SOK's. The SOK's are just a little bit bigger. The touch screen is programmable for battery capacity. So as of now I do not see the touch screen as a problem.
