Love what they’re adding, still enjoying their interface design too. Their updates have been regular and well designed. The Play+ was worth the faff too, has been so much fun and really opened up some different paths that the Elektron stuff didn’t. Am using both Tracker and Tracker Mini, has been so helpful having the two form factors so fantastic that the Tracker+ means they’re interchangeable

As an og play user they really are just having a laugh, why not make a new synth device? Instead of wedging these engines into devices not designed for it then worse upgrading the hardware without really upgrading it if the play plus came with audio in with editing and maybe individual outs I would be less sour about it but it doesn’t and it gets worse they still haven’t given us some basic features on play live record is still glitchy and I can’t play samples in a folder like you might on and MPC.
Adding insult to injury plus a kick in the teeth to go then r**ing my cat I’m going back to digitakt

Elektron are planets ahead in terms of support, updates, bug free operation (and addressing bugs in a timely manner), and not selling you cheap arsed hardware. Their OG tracker had 8MB of sample memory, now this and the tracker mini, have 32mb, but, that is now for stereo samples so that gets eaten up at twice the rate. OG digitakt had 64mb for MONO samples, the new stereo DIGI 2 has 400mb ram for samples. So much of their gear ships with broken basic functionality that takes a year to get fixed. They are selling cheap yesteryear low spec hardware, and telling you that that yellow rain doesn't have a urine smell. Never again with polyend.

@@allgonewrongful speaking of technical limitations, Digi 1 had only 1Gb storage for samples, DIgi 2 has 20Gb, while for Polyend products you can you 256Gb cards.

@@CuriousPassenger I used a 1TB micro SD card on the OG Polyend Tracker actually. Was incredible, but of course, it was useless cus of the stunted sample memory 😆

Each current hardware sampler/groovebox has its own selling point (I own too many for my own good), the polyend tracker is the sequencer and how it works for me. I do prefer the digitakt 2 for sample manipulation and sound design, but in pure bang for the buck you cant really beat the MPC live. Or if you already own an iPad Koala sampler is kind of unbeatable for fun and ease of use :)

I’ve talked to Polyend on this Superbooth, and unfortunately when asked about bugfixes and updates to my Play+ the guy (not this one) knew nothing about it and everything he told me is - we will get to it, we were busy with Tracker+. I then told him that this is strange, to leave development of a basically newly released hardware in favour of some new development, especially when it is so bugged, but the guy just said - no worries, we were busy. This was a very frustrating discussion, and it would be hard to believe if I didn’t hear this myself.
