No need to put everything in the front window. The Eagle 2 can be the heavy war hammer that is deployed once the stealth fighters have opened the door to the target. With that devastating load out of AMRAAMs they would be able to overwhelm an incoming group of enemy fighters that had survived the first wave of stealth fighter attacks.
My Eagle was the very first single seat aircraft in the inventory: 73-085 when I was a crew chief at Luke in 1976. And we trained the very first Israelis on the aircraft as well. The Eagle is the best there is.
It was a great fighter, then, but not the best now. A pair of F-35's, flying enough sorties, could destroy literally every F-14, F-15, F-16, and F/A-18 ever made without ever being locked. F-15 had great speed which is utterly useless. Even in Vietnam War, when so many fighters were supersonic, less than 10% of missions even went up to Mach 1. I think Mach 1.2 was the fastest EVER recorded on a mission, despite the F-4 being a Mach 2.2+ aircraft. What we need instead is an F-35D with the naval wing (50% greater area), second crew seat, double fuel and double internal bays. Even the F-35 probably will never fly an actual mission at its maximum speed.

Doesn't matter how modern and capable a fighter jet is, if it's too expensive and has reduced numbers is like not having them. The F22 is the most capable fighter in history today, but has a reduced number, the NGAD seems to be produced in an even smaller number. If you think that there's two ways to win, one is having the utmost advanced jet fighter, or having something that's still very good, easy to produce, maintain and having it produced in enormous number. In a 1960s annual report, McDonnell Douglas discussed the design goals of the F-15. Having a perceived Korean aerial combat F-86 : MiG-15 win ratio of 10:1 but a nearly failing 2:1 win ratio over MiG fighters in Vietnam and the TFX/ F-111 do-all, journeyman of many, master of none plane program, the Air Force wanted a fighter second to none that would re-establish air superiority. So a fighter-bomber role was not to be paramount. Analyses showed most air combat engagements were near the upper boundaries of subsonic flight and the emphasis was placed on enhancing/ maximizing that area of its flight envelope. Note: Much later reviews of the Korean engagements have lead some to reduce that 10:1 kill ratio to a 2:1.
I believe that reviving and upgrading the F-15 into whatever iteration it becomes, is the best thing I've heard about the Air Force making a decision considering a platform such as the F-15 in years. This is inconsideration of all the information I have heard regarding the F-22 and F-35 not being utilized to do their jobs or not being used because they are too expensive to use.
The Foxbat proved to be an extremely heavy aircraft, more suited as an interceptor than a fighter. The US found out the true nature of the foxbat when a Russian pilot flew one to Japan and sought asylum there. After examining the Foxbat, the US found out that like most Russian offerings, it didn't begin to live up to the hype. The F15 beat every record set by the Foxbat years earlier. Due to the extreme weight of the Foxbat due to its use of nickel as opposed to titanium and aluminum, its weight required an enormous amount of fuel, greatly reducing its weapons load, and its range.
Just build them stronger enough to handle the new requirements for weight carriage and engine power and performance and maneuverability requirements No doubt, the F-15 is one badass bird!
Remember : it is the only plane , never to loose (shut down ) a fight in the air ..... by proportions , they compose a symphony , not a machine ; oldie ,but good and wise
The irony of the F-15 landing with one wing missing is that the pilot who pulled it off is also the one who caused the accident in the first place! He probably got reprimanded, grounded, and then immediately promoted and returned to flight status! I wonder where that jet is now!

Airplanes do not have high maneuverability at mach 2 or 3. The great F-16 turning radius is smallest at 350 knots. Speed is to get there and most combat is done at sub-sonic speeds. It is byond visual and long range missile intercepts that speed is really important.
If the USAF had gotten their original request for 760 something F-22's there would be no need for Eagle II and we would all be watching the F-22 upgrade video. But since the buy was limited and production cant be restarted the USAF needs something more modern to back up the dwindling F-22 fleet til the NGAD is operational, assuming NGAD doesn't get canceled.

The F-22 and F-35 while incorporating stealth and advanced battle management software, do not possess the speed, range or weapons load out capabilities of the F-15EX. IMHO a well trained US or Israeli F-15EX Jockey will Splash the Chinese J-20 and anything in the Russian Inventory. I say, maintain a substantial inventory of F-15EX'S while developing the NGAD Fighter with similar speed, range and weapons load-out capacity. Combine the F-15EX'S capabilities with Stealth and the the US will dominate the air for the next 25 years. I also think the NAVY made a mistake replacing the F-14 TOMCAT with the F-18 Hornet/Super Hornet. They should have went with Northrup Grumman's proposal for the Super TOMCAT building on an incredibly capable aircraft with superior speed, combat radius, and weapons load out.
Why want they work on a stealthy eagle, with the same speed as the eagles but house its weapons eternally, I know they had worked on or made a prototype but it's never went into cereal production. They need to produce those cause those would kill the F22's for one reason there a hell of a lot faster, with better radar and a bigger weapon capacity

Those weren't AIM-9X Sidewinders, they were all AIM-120 AMRAAM's along with the AGM-158. The AIM-9x was correctly shown at the 9:14 mark.
This f15ex program is so good. Literally if it ain't broke don't break it. Take a great plane and renew it.
That cover photo is wild. What's next, hot pink fighter jets?
Just build them stronger enough to handle the new requirements for weight carriage and engine power and performance and maneuverability requirements
No doubt, the F-15 is one badass bird!
Great video’s. Keep it up. 12:00
The Eagle has been and still is a killer. Stealth is great. But sometimes a can of whoop ass is the ticket.
A BRILLIANT LEGEND THE F15.
OOOOH I LOVE THIS PAINT SCEAM! WOW! THE BEST I HAVE EVVVVER SEEN JUST LOVE THE GREEN. PERFECT FOR AIR DISPLAYS.
2 SHIP OR 4 SHIP FORMATION IN THE GREEN SCEAM WOULD BE EVEN MORE STUNNING!
O For a ride!!!! 🙏🏻
JB. UK. 🇺🇸🇬🇧🇫🇴
You needed to mention the influence Colonel John Boyd had on the F-15 design
This Project has been going on for years!
Excellent! I'm concerned we'll need every one of them fairly soon.
From S-500 with love.
This jet can do it all!!
Airplanes do not have high maneuverability at mach 2 or 3. The great F-16 turning radius is smallest at 350 knots. Speed is to get there and most combat is done at sub-sonic speeds. It is byond visual and long range missile intercepts that speed is really important.
F-15EX has been in service for 3 months. What are they testing?
QC your video please, labels of weapons are off (ie. AIM-120 is not an AIM-9X). Thanks!
@5:41: the F-16 is called Fighting Falcon, not Fighting Eagle.
Otherwise, excellent informative video!
Always my favorite model.
There's always room for improvement
F15EX plus adding capability of EA18 Super Growler
Starscream never looked better.
It is essentially the integration of avionics and weapons of F-22 and F-35 w/o stealth.
Long live the 'Eagle' !
...or as Transformers fans would say, "cool... more seekers!!"
Ohhhhh Yeahhhhh.!.
F15 EX “KnightMares”. Sweet dreams bad guys.😉.
I suspect that Tom Cruise will be chomping at the bit to get into this new aircraft . Go 4 it Tom
It's always time to upgrade your technology and military.
If you are not you are falling behind.
Y can’t the F15EX be painted in the same radar adsorption material as the other stealth aircraft or is it because of all the weapons it carries under it wings
We need all . We need them to figure out goe to make f22s again
Nothing great about F 15 EX fighter Russians had the formidable Mig 25 Foxbat interceptor later on the Mig 31 Foxhound. Don't forget get few years back Soviet pilot defected to Japan in a Mig 25 and lateron the Western scientist's were amazed to see the performance of the aircraft.
Dont forget to have low security to allow designs to be stolen. As always.
yes lovely aircraft so is the new f16
gawd u have a way to re technologies ur old plane congrats
Why did they call it a P-15?
It must be AI
Well done
Worked on F15 in USAF
LETS GET 500 FIGHTERS.
The MiG-25 large wings with excellent maneuverability?? You mean in a straight line?
What happen to the silent eagle?
Constitutional Republic...... the Thomas Jefferson out front should have told ya 8:57
30,000 pounds of gift giving capability 😂😂 Love it! 👍🏼
I an world still filled with Gen 3 and 4 fighters, why spend the limited flight hours of our Gen 5 fighters when the Eagle can eat them like popcorn?
See you in the next one!
we need more..
living legend
I love this
I saluates to all scientific researchers in any of to developing to hoping human being at high level of living excellence life. American u are great personality to assure democracy into World.
We need a thousand
F15 is a attack aircraft. It replaced the F111.
Why don't they have 2 seater stealth planes ?
NGAD prograam is dead due to excessive costs, $320 Million + per jet. Buying more F15EX and drones makes sense.
I assure you the NGAD program is not dead
F-15 its a worst copy of MIG-25 with italian design....
The P-15 Strike Eagle... 0:31
Video about new jet talks about the current version the whole time
👎👎👎 Sharp, ear-ritating voice which sounded much better with the mute button firmly depressed.
I ain't buying it that F22 is slower than F15, not for a second.
How the hell did it get to be more expensive than the F-35 when Qatar "paid for its development?"
Let’s see it was Joseph Stalin who said:”Volume has a quality all its own”
Thus The more planes you can put up
Yes. Especially when it's paper thin.
@@bugstomper4670Stalin never said or wrote "Quantity has a quality all its own." Ioseb Besarionis dze Jughashvili (his birth name) was not an awful writer, just not one capable of this clever "turn of a phrase."
What in the world is a P-15 Strike Eagle??? You do mean F-15 Strike Eagle, don't you?
Well you sure as hell can see it from 10 miles away,😂🇨🇦. Look at me ! Little Agile Multitalented Bomber!!! 😂🇨🇦
