You can see how much Rens loves Apollo. Love how patient and well behaved Apollo is when being shod. To see how well cared for all your horses are is a pleasure.
My Dear Tara and Rens, I had absolutely no idea that Rens did not learn to ride a horse so late in life. I think that he is doing wonderfully considering that he is nearly 70 years old. I am so proud of him. It most certainly is not an easy thing to learn at Rens age. Apollo also is not a small horse. I know for sure that he will master the riding with all the help that you give him. Well done Tara keep it up, keep helping him and you will both be going out on fun rides before you know it. Jane 🐴👍😎👍🧑🏻🦰
The expression on Rens face while looking at Apollo is so precious.....like a boy with his dog, albeit a very large one. They clearly have a bond and it is so wonderful you were able to catch that on video. It would make a beautiful still photo to frame as it is rare to catch such a look of love between a man and his horse; so lovely!🌻🐴🥕📽
Bless Apollo, he is so patient when he is being shod, he is so well behaved. Hope you all are keeping well, take care just love all your Videos. Thank you for sharing all your Videos.
Love watching a farrier working, when I was a little girl (many years ago) I used to ride our Shire horse Paddy to the farriers which was an eight mile round trip. We did not have a horse box back then. Apollo is such a sweetheart he is good even when his sensitive foot is being done
🐴🐴💙...Apollo's showing the Young Apprentice His appreciation🥰☺♥️...😂 Love Apollo's expression!😆😍...Such backbreaking work, ya got to admire these guys and this trade!⚒💞...Apollo all "Shod" and ready for His next adventure with Mum!!🥰...Love the Farrier videos 📹😍 Always!♥️ Thank you for sharing and All take care!🙏🥰🤗🤗🐶🖤...🐴🐴💙
Oh Rens, you’re such a big softie ❤ you just love that beautiful Apollo don’t you. And why wouldn’t you, he’s got such a beautiful nature and handsomeness to go with it. Hoping you’re all well and happy. Love from NZ. 😊
Rens your such a gentle soul just like your buddy Apollo. You make a good team. 👍🐎 He listens to you, even when you whisper too him. Such a love between a rider and his steed💕
Hi Tara loved watching the video Thank you for putting it on here All your horses are gorgeous and a credit to you Renes and Steve also your dog is aswell Looking forward to watching more of your videos Hope every one is well and OK From Sue with love xxx
Awww he is a sweet boy cuddling the farrier. Apollo tries his best to keep still while being shod. It is difficult for the big horses to keep their balance standing on three legs.
Apollo patience is the virtue of the strong 👍🐎❤️ if you want to appe beautiful you want to appear a lot you have to suffer but the results are excellent 😍
Even more beautiful than when you went in Apolls! That was interesting abt Faroukls' hind legs, he must like everything to remain in place! Two of three beauties ❤🐎🐎🐎❤😍😍
Apollo is very patient and well-behaved during the whole process with the farrier. His feet show so much improvement over when his shoes were put back on after the winter. You are so lucky to have such a skilled farrier available.
Apollo is a gem. He is very patient and good natured. Always interesting to see the farrier in action. Great to hear that his hooves are in good condition, especially as you are going to be riding him more! Thanks.
Hi Tara and Rens, Rens I like how you talk quietly to Apollo as he has his hooves shod. He is pretty mellow but I bet he relaxes even more listening to your voice. I think Farouk likes to keep his back legs under him as you never know when a monster will appear and you have to make a quick getaway!
“But Dad, I just wanted to give the lad a hug. Well, in truth, I had an itch, but…you know…take care of two things with one maneuver. That’s what Supervisor Ike insists on: efficiency!” Oh, Apollo, now you’re weaving Ikles into your justification tale! Don’t worry, Big Man-we know all you do, you do in love.❤️🐴🤗🐶🤭🥰
Apollo wants to give a thank you hug 🤗 to the farrier by rubbing his head as a show of affection that he appreciate what the farrier is doing. Sweet Apollo🐴🥕🥕🥕👍😍🤩. Apollo says “But dad I am only saying thank you to the farrier & the only way I can do that is by affectionately rub my head on his back & head.” after Rens tells Apollo not to do that.🥰🥰🥰
My goodness Tara, when you got Apollo, you struck gold! What a sweetheart he is. Question.. I've heard Apollo and Apple-O pronunciation of his name, which is the correct pronunciation?
Watching this I cannot help but wonder, when was it in time, that it was discovered safe and not hurtful to drive nails into a horses hoof to keep shoes on that it was not painful, how or how was it discovered that a horse hoof can be pierced with steel nails and it not hurt the horse to stand etc on? Why does Farouk not wear shoes?
Farouk, is a pure breed Arabian horse. One of the physical qualities of owning a horse like that, is his hooves are very strong and hard, compared to Appollo's. So, he doesn't really need them. Tara would definitely know by now, if not shoeing Farouk was a bad idea or not, by the amount of work that Farouk does. As she is very attentive, to each of her horse's day to day needs and requirements etc.
@Janet Doecke Hi😊, this is from Google (just call Me the "Google Queen" here😉 I Google everything!) "Does Shoeing A Horse Hurt Them? Many people worry that putting horseshoes on the hooves will cause pain to horses, as the process will involve trimming hooves, replacing shoes, or inserting nails. However, shoeing a horse really does not hurt them as there are no nerves in the outer wall of the horse's hooves.Jul 10, 2021" Hope that helps!🤗🐴♥️
You should really buy some softener for the horses hooves for Apollo's Hooves because they're cracking so bad there are things that you can put on there to help who's Apollo's hooves to get rid of the cracks make a better hoof
The way Apollo looks when Rens is talking to him... 😍😍😍... Adorable... 🥰
Considering what's going on with Apollos feet he is so well behaved and patient💙Love the way Rens looks at Apollo, loving&proud😊
You can see how much Rens loves Apollo. Love how patient and well behaved Apollo is when being shod. To see how well cared for all your horses are is a pleasure.

Apollo was so relaxed during the shoeing……. zen-like!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🐴 🥰🥰🥰🥰
👍
Apollo needs his face rubs and that kind young man just happened to be perfectly positioned to do the job!
So interesting to hear how each of the FAB3 react to foot work! 🖤🐴❤️🥰
My farriers hands look the same way . It must be the job. They earn every penny they make, bent over a horses hoof all day. 👏
👍😊
👑Apollo just wants to thank him.
You know "good job" and it feels good too.

I must say that if I were a horse I wouldn't love this, so I think your horses are very well behaved!
👍
Rens is wonderful with Apollo. Two buddies. So nice to see. The farrier is a young man doing a tough job well. Be well! 💙💙💙💙
👍
Awesome ride to both of you
Apollo is very patient and well-behaved during the whole process with the farrier. His feet show so much improvement over when his shoes were put back on after the winter. You are so lucky to have such a skilled farrier available.

My tootsies are looking good again thank you very much I’ll give you a hug 🐎🐎🐎
Aww. Apollo is so sweet. Good boy for the farrier Apollo. ,❤️🐎

👍
Hi Tara and Rens, Apollo... interesting to know how they are when the farrier works on their hooves.
Apollo is very easy going..I noticed some of the hooves had a crack in them. Is that a concern..thanks for the videos
Apollo has great hooves according to Steven Beane. The cracks are superficial.
❤️💕
I always preferred hot shoeing myself but over here in Australia in my area it's impossible they only do cold shoeing
Tfs

Farouk has hard hooves and doesn't need shoes
