Klaus, it's interesting that you're extracting the vocals using AI, but I can't tell the difference. I was born with hyperacusis, as a form of extreme hearing sensitivity, but I pride myself for finding flaws in music. Sometimes, my coworkers at Sony, will ask me to go into the Sound Engineering Studio to detect various audio problems and I'll troubleshoot a bands audio. Nevertheless, I was still a Gothling at 16, when the 1986 album was released, but this particular song was sorely underrated at the time; however, I tend to believe they were ahead of their time. MTV had an interview with Morten one time, who said he enjoyed shatter wine glasses only using his voice. You've perfected this song into a Dark-wave masterpiece, but I'd love for Morten Harket to take a listen. I know he would be flattered and honored at the same time; but, will you be making this song available ....??? Lately, you've been very busy, and pushing out some fantastic work ― So, I tip my hat too you. Thank you so much Klaus ....!!!
Thanks for your feedback. I think the AI extraction worked well on this occasion - Morten's vocals sit well above the original mix so easier to extract. Not so easy on some songs though. A-Ha were/are a great band - they had a very european sound which is similar to Alphaville - another great synth band. I have no plans to release - youtube allow a fair use approach so I am able to post here. I would need to approach the band/licence holder and see whether they would be interested in me releasing, but not sure how this works - any suggestions?
@@KDEADS Permissions can be tricky at times, but generally, you ask whoever holds the music license. However, if, proper credit is given under the "fair use" act and the composition has been altered at least by 51%, then you're good to go. Since you "pulled, extracted, or lifted" the vocals using AI; thus, it's not an exact copy: I personally say "reinterpreted using AI", but as with any new technology there are big learning curves involved, where copyright law has not yet acclimated itself. I began my career as a copyright enforcer in the music legal division; yet, so many things have changed because of the constant overflow of new technologies' involved. It wasn't even what my university degrees specialize in, but I enjoy writing and reading legal material's ― Yes, I'm a strange creature to be sure ....!!!! It's not as straightforward as it use to be, but this gives creators much more latitude to continually explore different music experiments. My interpretation would be that this is an original composition using AI, since not much of the original song is left. Although I'd still give proper credit, then make it available through 'Angel in the Dark'. Oops.... I just noticed you did release it through Angel..... !!!! Excellent.....!!!! Since this is a passion project of yours, thank the good Lord, you could offer it to the public for free, just to be on the safe side. People have not yet assimilated the difference between associating the 'Klaus Devore' (KD) name in any form, other than the 'Claustrophobia' band title. This is why I asked you, if, you were still using the Claustrophobia band name in the beginning. Nevertheless, considering all of that, this song might be considered original work via AI, and I'm sure other bands will use the same logic within upcoming cover's in the near future. This process I explained, is a way for yourself to avoid the entire "for profit" clause in such cases. There are many, many musicians who will place a "cover version" anyway on their newly released albums, just as long as they give proper credit. Credit is an essential part ― But we are discussing a song that's over 37 years old ....!!!! Cheers ―
@@KDEADS Your very welcome Klaus, but I still reinforced my opinion on Angel's channel, that the vocals are an AI regenerative exploration, just so people can understand it for themselves. I don't expect any problems.
