The sumerian story of Cain and Abel makes way more sense, like most of these stories.
One name of Cain is Hephaestus (Latin Vulcan aka Tubal Cain)

Agreed. He's a bit biased I believe they should keep it open minded not keep basically calling the bible false or fake. Maybe what ever they believe in is false or fake🤔👍😂 it just gets to me because I used to be aethiast I went down a long dark road and God has came into my life and helped me through so so much and has lifted me up taught me what true happiness and self happiness and care is. I no longer have a convicted heart. I give it all to God and don't go anywhere without walking with him side by side always following him. What all he has delivered me through and from you can't convince me there isn't a god I KNOW FOR A FACT THERE IS!!!

The bible has been changed over an over but the word of God stays the same if you are a true believer of God you don't get into denominations you don't bible thump people or bash them you pray for them. You spread peace and love through God and I pray he touches your heart as he has mine because I was just as you were once I argued til I was blue in the face. I refused to believe. Like I said though now i know for a fact he is real and I know some people apparently you also thinks it's untrue or lies etc... Look the bible, the church (especially the Vatican) they are evil and liars and do nothing but try to push their own agenda in power. The story of creation and god has been told over and over since the beginning of time and people bend and change things to benefit their own beliefs and have since people have came to be... I believe in God and I pray to him. I don't pray to the bible. I don't pray to a church. They are both made by man like I said and can be changed by whomever has control of the church. That's why alot of people don't believe in God anymore because of the churches and the bible and the way people wanna push their own agendas in front of gods agenda and that is wrong... You never actually mentioned Cain's death. Don't put in in the thumbnail if you don't talk about. Historical evidence says the Exodus did happen, but in the 15th Century BC, not the 13th as usually preached.

What's funny about Cain and able's beef the winner was chosen before they were even told to compete. Part that takes me out is God wanted a blood sacrifice but didn't say that. I am not a religious person and look upon the Cain and Abel story with amusement. They were both seemingly hard working guys who brought the fruits of their efforts to God. Why would God accept Abel’s gift but spurn Cain’s? So unfair, imo. How would vegans interpret God’s preference for meat? 😂

I believe judas was the only one that truly loved Jesus and believed in what he had to do. It takes the most selfless love to give your leader up for death inorder to help him fulfill his mission of dying for our sins. Judas knew exactly what would happen and that's why he took up the mantle of bad guy. Without judas Jesus would never have died for our sins like intended.

If you take the timeline of the Bible literally, Adam and Eve left Eden in ~4114 BCE (reference: Useful Charts video). There were clearly humans living before this, e.g., Göbekli Tepe, Stonehenge, to name only a few. Therefore the history of the God of Abraham post dates human history. Any comments?

@@controllerplayer1720 That was the God of the Old Testament-he was a vengeful and cruel god. It was a way to create fear so that people would behave themselves. The purpose of Jesus was to let people know that God loves the world. That’s what Christianity is all about. You don’t hear anything about sacrifices in the New Testament do you?

@@sinnergy73 I totally agree. All I was saying is that the Abrahamic religions (I.e., Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) trace their origins to a person and place that came into being long after humans existed. Do you see that being in conflict with the Bible?
So many problems just in the first 51 seconds
First, god didn't ask Cain and Abel to give any sacrifices.....it could be seen from the text, that they took it upon themselves to sacrifice to god without any command.
Second, there is nothing in the text to support Cain being jealous....all that is said of it is that Cain's countence had fallen...sorrow, no jealousy mentioned
Third, there is no clear cut explanation as to why Cain killed Abel....infact, Judaism says that it was over their sister, not a sacrifice.
Fourth, you said that he was born after the expelltion.....there is reason to believe that Cain and Abel were actually born IN the garden, as Judaism presents.....it can only be said that the STORY of them being born came after the story of expelltion......I say it this way, because there are plenty of place in the bible where it is NOT chronological.....Adam's death is accounted before the birth of Enosh, Seth's son, when Adam would have only been 220 years old I believe, maybe it was 235......I forget for certain...Adam was 130, Seth was ?105?, Enosh was ?90?, Kenan was ?70?

That's it. I'm unsubscribing to this channel. When I started watching this channel and subscribed to it, this channel was all about history and archaeology. But since David joined the channel, it has slowly started to descend into conspiracy theories and attacks on Christianity. I'd say Katrina should be ashamed to have her channel go down this path, but she has also done videos claiming that the Bible copied Sumerian records. A theory that was thoroughly debunked in the 80's by looking at events that were mentioned in both the Bible and Sumerian records and showed that they lined up perfectly when you take into account that the people who dated the Sumerian records got it wrong. As for the prize I won with no clear details on how to collect it a couple of months ago, Katrina can keep it.
