Should I do a video on other protection schemes? Distance or Unit protection? 🤔

I love those old school GEC mechanical protection relays. They really are a gem from the past. Like you said yourself it’s so easy to learn about protection when you can see it happening in front of your eyes. Just not the same as clicking buttons on a laptop

Very basic relay protection in electrical substations. Not only feeder protection but usually motors or some cases generators, transformers.
The overcurrent relays I worked on were manufactured by General Electric model IAC or Westinghouse model CO. We would generally set the current tap, followed by the time dial. Once set, we would "bench test" and check the minimum pickup current first. Then check the operating time it would take to close the main contacts. Final test would be a functional target test which was the relay's visual target indicating which phase tripped the circuit where the fault occurred. Upon completion of tests, returned relay to service.
Very good video on the overcurrent relay concept.

The best video, it clears a lot of doubt, I am now currently taking protection and switchgear course, No book/video has connected the dots as much as your video. Thank you.

Some medium voltage circuit breakers have bult-in( integrated) relays. This eliminates the need of several meters of cable from the current transformer to the relay room and back to the circuit breaker. If that cable is damaged there is no protection.

    Dear Colleagues,
Its the discrimination❤ of the relay within the substation that affects the sudden change in blood pressure of a human if Again you are going to use or apply the ANN or AN system or ART system into a human being which is very dangerous to do or to follow a system or an art that will affects the life of the people. A reason i try to ignore it and really need to stop for it is not an ART anymore if everyone of us are all in trouble just because of the change in current reading or whatever the rate of value within a relay called discrimination. It should not be applied to a human being.
Discrimination wise, everyone of us has the right or freedom to choose whatever they wanted, without harm or risk of life to the people or to any individual.
In general, the AN or ART system should not be applied to a human or to a life of any individual. There are some advantages can be use which are good like the corrections of our face or any part of are body can called good because its not risky or dangerous but those ways or methods that are dissadvantages called bad or wrong like the discrimination within a relay its wrong, how would you like being cut everytime they slice a beef or brisket? its dangerous to think off and its to barbaric or a cannivalism to think if applied to a human as an art or an.
Again, as my mentor told me, it should be the good only to use or to do as an advantage or useful to a human life.
Life is precious! it should be protected and Treasured Forever.
Thank you very much i hope youll never get offended on my message because am messing up and my heart or blood pressure is under discrimanation the whole night. tThank you for your understanding that my heart or our hearts should be free to anyone to feel happy and comfortable to breath freely adequately.
    With Respect,
    Tomas O. Yabut
    P.S.
Doc, please move out the discrimination in my heart and those unecessary add ons medications and finding within my health. I need to be strong and healthy again, as your gift for us a lifetime. Thanks again .❤
