    Air Fryers can be a major timesaver, cooking food quickly, or allowing you to cook extra food for big families or guests, like appetizers and sides, while you do the rest on the stove or oven. COSORI has just launched a new, next generation air fryer that can take the typical air fryer experience and make it 46%* faster, quieter and with a wider range of temperatures, meaning you get food that’s crispy-not charred. In this review I’ll take a look at the COSORI6-quart TurboBlaze air fryer to see what it can do, how quick it cooks, what the different cooking modes are, and I’ll put it to the test with a variety of different foods here in my home kitchen.
    I’d like to thank COSORI for sponsoring this post. As an ongoing sponsor of the blog and RUclips channel they are supporting our new content every day, so for that I’m grateful. Even though they’re paying for my time, they haven’t told me what I have to say or what I can’t say, and I got to cook what I wanted so you can consider these thoughts my own.

    COSORI 6-quart TurboBlaze air fryer: what it can do
    Let’s take a closer look at the COSORI6-Quart TurboBlaze Air Fryer, and the 4 key problems with air fryers COSORI is solving with this machine…
    Problem: Size
    Air fryers can be big and bulky and take up too much counter space.
    The solution? COSORIi says its 6-Quart TurboBlaze Air Fryer is made to maximize the interior space while keeping the footprint small; that means it won’t take up needless storage either.
    With a smart angled digital LED control panel on the top that’s easy to read without bending over, the unit seems well designed, and does indeed have a huge cooking basket.
    Problem: Performance
    Air fryers can be loud (I know the last air fryer I had droned incessantly). And they can cook unevenly; scorching the top while the center is underdone.
    Solution; I can confirm the COSORI6-Quart TurboBlaze Air Fryer is quieter than the last air fryer I tested. Plus, with a DC motor, it heats quicker, cooks faster, and allows for more precise temperature and fan control.
    That added control allows for 9 pre-set cooking functions, including air frying, but it also roasts, bakes, broils, defrosts, cooks from frozen, dehydrates, reheats and warms, to accomplish almost any cooking need.
    Problem: Limited capacity
    Air fryers can be too small to make food for the whole family.
    The solution here is that the COSORI6-Quart TurboBlaze Air Fryer can cook more; use it to bake up crispy sides, but it can also roast veggies, broil fish, cook frozen foods, reheat, defrost or cook food right from frozen. It’s even big enough to handle a roast chicken!
    Problem: Hard to clean
    Grease and oil and spattered food can accumulate, making cleaning a major chore, or causing your air fryer to smoke. Plus all those nooks and crannies can be hard to get clean.
    When it comes to the cleaning, the COSORI 6-Quart TurboBlaze Air Fryer is made to be easier to clean with a non-stick coating that means most messes simply wipe clean, but the basket and crisper plate are both dishwasher safe too!
    Overall this air fryer strikes a good balance between what we need and what we want; Let me tell you what I liked: it’s got a smaller footprint so it takes up less space on the counter and in the cupboard. It heats up fast, runs so much quieter, and has more precise control than your average air fryer too. Plus it can cook many different things in 15 minutes or less.
    With the ability to cook all kinds of foods, it can be a quick easy way to dinner, or an extra option when cooking for a crowd.
    Another pro is the price. Selling for an affordable price of $119.99US/CAD?, it’s available now on Amazon and at COSORI.com. Use my code Erinlaw10 to try and get 10% off by visiting COSORI.com from 10/19 - 11/17/23!

    As of this writing (10/24/2023), I don't see this on Amazon yet. Meanwhile, I have ordered and received one directly from Cosori. Boy, can I give a whole lot of information not mentioned in this "review" whatsoever. Here are things people really want to know:
    1. Faster? Probably not noticeably faster than what you've got, if you've got something other than an old and/or inexpensive air fryer. My previous fryer was a Cosori Pro LE 5-quart fryer, and the TurboBlaze 6-quart fryer is perhaps a minute faster on something that takes 12 minutes to cook. Like 12 minutes in the Pro LE, and 11 minutes in the TurboBlaze. So, perhaps a minute or less faster than something else, but highly doubtful that it's nearly twice as fast.
    2. The TurboBlaze DEFINITELY has a smaller footprint than a lot of other larger air fryers. It's about an inch wider and an inch deeper than my Pro LE, and it's actually a hair shorter than the Pro LE. I would say that the pot from the TurboBlaze is about as big as I can possibly fit in my dishwasher, without it taking up almost ALL of one rack or the other. For a larger fryer, I'd call the size of the TurboBlaze "just right."
    3. The crisper plate is about as intelligently designed as such a thing can be. It has a small "grab handle" in the middle that is recessed, so it won't get in the way of something you want to lay flat on the crisper plate. The rubber "feet" keep it up off of the bottom of the pot a nice distance, and the design doesn't have any large holes that your food might fall through.
    4. Sound? Cosori has made some VERY quiet air fryers lately -- the Pro LE is one of them. The TurboBlaze is a bit louder, but not "too loud" by any means. I always use my kitchen's exhaust fan while air frying, and the exhaust fan is far louder than any air fryer I've ever used.
    5. Sound? Then there are the beeps that an air fryer makes. Some people complain about beeps that are too loud, other folks complain about beeps that you can't hear at all. Cosori fryers have been on the "loud" side, but the TurboBlaze definitely isn't as loud as other Cosori fryers have been. Definitely loud enough, but toned down noticeably. It also plays more of a little "jingle" when you plug the fryer into an outlet, and when the cooking has finished. So, it's different than other fryers I've used, in a good and a nice way.
    6. THERE IS NO "SHAKE" FUNCTION. And nothing in the documentation that I've seen says anything about the lack thereof -- I can only presume that the "DC Motor" uses a faster speed than normal, and therefore Cosori decided that there's no need to "shake" anything anymore. I haven't tried a lot of things yet, but "like heck." I'll shake and turn as needed, shake function or not.
    7. The "DC Motor" seems to provide, at most, a new sense of "control" over the fan speed, which you might find useful. For most "air fryer" things, it runs at full speed, so that's not really anything different there. But for things that use cooler temperatures -- Reheat / Bake / Dehydrate / Proof / Preheat / Keep Warm -- those cycles have lower fan speeds. So you might appreciate that if you use those things.
    8. Of interest might be the temperature range -- from 90 degrees to 450 degrees -- and the time range, which goes all the way up to 24 hours. So, if you want to use a very long cooking process at a low temperature, this might very well likely be a better air fryer for your needs than anything you've seen before.
    9. A quick look at the display -- of course, it has both temperature and time displayed while cooking. The temperature can be set in 5-degree increments. The time is shown in two-digit "minutes," and then counts down the seconds during the final minute of cooking. If you use the Dehydrate function, it switches to an "hours" display, with an "hour-point-five" display -- you can adjust the time in half-hour increments, like 8.0 hours / 8.5 hours, and so on. When you get to 10 hours and above, it shows a two-digit hour display, and you can adjust the time in one-hour increments.
    10. Any of the presets can be changed to the values you choose -- just press the preset, change the time and/or temperature, then press and hold the preset for three seconds. There is also a function that will allow you to restore all of the presets to factory settings.
    In the end, this truly is "the next generation" from Cosori. I have owned around ten different air fryers over the years -- mostly "trying" them, not "wearing them out" -- starting with some small, inexpensive ones, and a few others that are relatively comparable to Cosori fryers. I have tried several different Cosori fryers, and I find them to be superior to others in just about every way. The quality, the design, the temperature accuracy, and other aspects just have been superior to others I have tried. The aesthetics are definitely on the premium side -- the handle has a color I would call "gunmetal gray," and that color is also used around the top panel that includes the control pads. The square-shaped pot is vastly more useful compared to a round one, and I definitely prefer the "crisper tray" compared to the old "basket in a pot" style -- I just have no room for TWO giant air fryer pieces. I would prefer to have a shake reminder, but I can live pretty easily without one -- that's the only slight "negative" I could mention. I can easily recommend the Cosori TurboBlaze without reservation.

    I have just ordered this - live in France so getting it via Amazon France. I already have the 3.5 which I've had for 4 yrs. I got it before I realised how versatile they are. I decided the 6 litre would do everything I needed, and have huge faith in Cosori. I have a small kitchen so wanted one that wasn't the size of a Bungalow - this fits the bill, and ticks all my requirement boxes. Thanks for your review I found it really helpful and encouraging.

    Love the air fryer, warm and toast buns, cook steaks and brats the only downside of mine is it is a 2 basket with each basket about 3/4 of a regular air fryer and it has a very large footprint. Still the timesaving is great. Great and helpful video, I just wish I would have seen it before I bought my Instant brand air fryer.

    I have the dual blaze 6.8 qt air fryer and have no issues with it. Does the Turbo blaze add enough to the mix to make it better then the dual blaze?

    If it automatically shuts off when you open the door is there a restart button you have to push when you shut the door? Or does it automatically restart when you push the door back in?

    What does "Proof" mean on the unit?

    • @ErinLawrenceTV
      @ErinLawrenceTV  3 месяца назад +1

      Proof is a setting that uses warm air to help dough rise when you are baking. It can be quite convenient if you are baking bread or rolls.

    I really find all Air fryers hyped and poor performing. The T-Fal air fryer with the paddle was the only one that made decent fries but its reliability was very poor.
    None of these air fryers cook evenly or perform as advertised.

    • @ErinLawrenceTV
      @ErinLawrenceTV  8 месяцев назад +1

      I found that older air fryers were not as good as some of the newer ones I tried. It seems companies have been able to improve the cooking and airflow circulation so I think they are a lot more reliable now. Which one do you own and how old is it?

  • @quincycuthbert5408
    @quincycuthbert5408 8 месяцев назад

    Looks like it smokes a lot. Seems disingenuous to compare it to an oven when we know it's talking about other air fryers.
