I am a Usain fan, but I also have to agree with jeu5000. You are on point about Bolt's comments, Tyson, would never have made such statements about Usain or anyone else, I'm sure.
He said 'probably' hates my guts (when he was asked about his thoughts) That is quite a different statement to 'Tyson Gay hates my guts'. Why is the BBC posting this kind of nonsense? Is the BBC now click baiting?
Before ever wondering about this relationship I always thought Tyson Gay looks bitter or resentful, that's what his face often showed, a resentful heart, unfriendly. I used to think maybe it's just his way.
@broadjumper1 I totally agree. I am Jamaican and I am proud very proud of Bolt. However, I cannot believe he would leave himself so vulnerable to the media.
Show respect to Tyson. He is a legendary American sprinter and they are calling him 'gay'. Grow up..and even if he is gay it has nothing to do with sprinting.
@keonist -uh, no he wasn't on the 200 team, he had a bye, but he never intended to run. So he wasn't ducking. He was there to run the 100 and the relay. Since you're so fond of claiming "Bolt told everyone this was be his easy season" I remind you that Gay also told everyone he would "only run the 100 and relay" because he didn't have enough training base to run the 200 + rounds.
With the exception of marathon runner from Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia, Morocco, etc. The people in Africa really have other things on their mind besides sports, like survival...
@broadjumper1 I doubt he's lying, I actually think Bolt's back was a factor, which prevented him from being able to use his full stride. He ran 9.83 2 weeks before in Paris with ease into a slight headwind but struggled to go sub 10 in Stockholm, I could even see in his form that he was running a bit differently and not as relaxed as normal.
@turnbacktime but Tyson did the same in Berlin, although he was not satisfied in the first instance with his performance and in New York both were taken several pictures together !!!
if you going to accuse do so responsibly. 2003 @ 18 yrs old he runs 20.13 2004 ->19.93 (he suffered injuries which hampered his performances at the olympics that year) 2007 ->19.75 2008 ->19.30 (his 100 training would have improved his start) The idea that usain bolt popped up out of nowhere shows ignorance. Frank Fredericks (Nam) placed 4th @ athens 2004 (olympics) in time of 20.14s, an 18 yr old bolt would have placed 4th. This highlights his talent
I can't understand how people say Gay is #1 because he beat bolt in the last race.. In a documentary done before the race bolt himself said he is no longer focused on the 100m. And the man ran 9.58 Gay will never reach that and its nothing againts him either but everyone knows when you've hit the unbreakable wall
“Do you ever speak on the phone?” Why would he even think they speak on the phone? They are from different countries that happen to be in the same profession.
It was a legit question. If you keep meeting someone, even if it is just for professional reason, several times a year in various places in the world, for several years, than there is a chance that you develop some kind of relation, and speaking on the phone would not be unusual at all.
At this point Tyson Gay has memorized Jamaica's national anthem by heart

I am a Usain fan, but I also have to agree with jeu5000. You are on point about Bolt's comments, Tyson, would never have made such statements about Usain or anyone else, I'm sure.
“You ain’t first your last”
He Respects you USIAN
🇯🇲🇯🇲🥇 Legend
He said 'probably' hates my guts (when he was asked about his thoughts) That is quite a different statement to 'Tyson Gay hates my guts'. Why is the BBC posting this kind of nonsense? Is the BBC now click baiting?
Get a life.Clickbait is the norm.
I miss that guy
@Z4N30 I would say that he's humble but he wants to beat Bolt really bad so that's the only way I'll say he hates his guts in competition wise.
@keonist - Like how a clean Tyson Gay crushed ALL your sprinters?
I'm all for that...
Before ever wondering about this relationship I always thought Tyson Gay looks bitter or resentful, that's what his face often showed, a resentful heart, unfriendly. I used to think maybe it's just his way.
the champ on has spoke on. can tell in the morning he eats his beercan.
@broadjumper1 I totally agree. I am Jamaican and I am proud very proud of Bolt. However, I cannot believe he would leave himself so vulnerable to the media.
Nature of the beast. Everyone hates the king.
@broadjumper1 Greene and Johnson did not get along right?
Show respect to Tyson. He is a legendary American sprinter and they are calling him 'gay'. Grow up..and even if he is gay it has nothing to do with sprinting.
@Bajinjo correct, horald hit the nail on the head when he said only haters talk about people ducking.
I really feel for Tyson. Had he competed in any other era, had have been the greatest in the world...
I fell bad for tyson, gatlin, Powell and blake. They all would have dominated in separate eras
@@afrobuddy4801 Not sure about Powell who tends to choke.
Bottom line--- if it wasnt for this guy Bolt Tyson Gay would be a lot richer. PERIOD. !!!!!
😂
Man like wizzy .. how come no one's showing you love..eh😁
nobodys gonna break Usain bolt's record!
It’s ridiculous. It doesn’t make sense. I can’t see it happening.
You were right. Now sprinters are running 9.9s and 9.8s at their best
@keonist - The difference is saying Bolt ducked is the truth while saying Gay ducked is a lie...
@Bajinjo AMEN to that, you are so correct. the King of Ducking tyson, the King of Sprinting Usain Bolt.
“Second comes right after first!”
Great point there. I keep hearing all these excuses as to why Gay can't beat him.
I wonder what Tim in Ruislip thinks of all this?
Id say Michael Johnson is the most respectful track star.
Professional rivalry........
@turnbacktime but Tyson did the same in Berlin, although he was not satisfied in the first instance with his performance and in New York both were taken several pictures together !!!
@Southaid No one expects athletes to be geniuses.
may da battle continue for 2011
I'm more of a tyson gay fan just coz he's very humble and a good guy......but bolt it just keepin it real....
if you going to accuse do so responsibly.
2003 @ 18 yrs old he runs 20.13
2004 ->19.93 (he suffered injuries which hampered his performances at the olympics that year)
2007 ->19.75
2008 ->19.30 (his 100 training would have improved his start)
The idea that usain bolt popped up out of nowhere shows ignorance.
Frank Fredericks (Nam) placed 4th @ athens 2004 (olympics) in time of 20.14s, an 18 yr old bolt would have placed 4th. This highlights his talent
Anyone knows where I can find that video of Tyson trash talking about bringing the gold home, I think it was on a TV show.
That wasn't Tyson I believe it was the other American.
@@MrBjorn6 It was Justin Gatlin. Get your facts right
being taller also has its disadvantages to. like starting
He probably hates his guts for real. 😅🤣
Tyson Battyman
“He is your lex Luther” well.. accurate
did u not read my comment? i said being taller gives u an disadvantage when u start?
"" 2012 "", No Talking , Just Running !
“Do you ever speak on the phone?” Why would he even think they speak on the phone? They are from different countries that happen to be in the same profession.
Because athletes at this level often spend a lot of time together and know eachother quite well
It was a legit question. If you keep meeting someone, even if it is just for professional reason, several times a year in various places in the world, for several years, than there is a chance that you develop some kind of relation, and speaking on the phone would not be unusual at all.
