EDIT: If I simply make the rides historical you cannot alter them in any way, which gets rid of both issues discussed below.
I somehow missed that you can simply relocate the entrance buildings of the two flat rides as those are free. In that case just think of this scenario as having no flat rides as they were just for show anyway.
Another more important failure is that you can remove the other two stations, set the operating mode to "reverse incline mode" and use the "double close and reopen" trick. This will speed it up massively to just a few thousand years. To solve this I would need to use a coaster with only continuous circuit mode, like the giga coaster. The shortest possible trains have a much higher capacity so while it will still take over 10 million years, it won't quite take 100 million.
When you update it, also combine it with your Universe Coaster.
@@gloweye You can just disable the synchronization, so that won't work.
Ah! Must be tough realising some missed details straight away!
Glad you uploaded this even if it could be improved on :)
I was wondering why you didn't just move the station for the flat rides...
I wanted to just remove all paths so the guests might find their way to the flat rides but relocating them is smarter lol
Because it’s underground, this could be a great educational ride - see geology happen in real time!
While being narrated by Carl Sagan.
When your guests are immortal you always have time to learn.
*"THIS RIDE IS DOWNRIGHT EXHILARATING!!"* -- geologists.
"dreadfully boring" -- literally everyone else
You become fossil while observing fossil.
Marcel is going to take it so far, you’re gonna need 7.3 quadrillion lives of the universe to beat a scenario
The next layer will involve real-time years for the higher dimension running our universe.
cant wait for the race against the heat death of the universe
That would be somewhere in the high Septillions
@@sunman2566 it'd make it technically barely doable, continuously pass down a game of openRCT2 for trillions of years
Didn't he already build an infinity clock?
I like how we progressed from drowning the Guests, to sending them into Shadow Realm via 1 tile maze, to extincting them through passage of time.
And we're slowly approaching "heat death of the universe" Guest removal.
Haha well I think it is more like this:
From torturing guest, to drowning them, to send into oblivion……..
to torture the player and no more the guests.
So I wonder when the drowning and the oblivion part will start against us as the players. 😂😂
"Approaching" the heat death of the universe? Been there, done that. In "The Impossible Maze" video, guests take on average far longer than the universe can expect to last. In fact, a lot more than until the heat death of the universe. Imagine waiting until the heat death of our universe, but every year you stop and wait for the heat death of *another* new universe. And every year of *that* universe you stop to wait for the heat death of *a third* universe. Completing that maze requires you to have 197 "nested universes" like this.
sure, taking a long time to complete a scenario with relatviely simple requirements is fun and all, but what about the opposite?
a scenario with really difficult requirements that completes itself really quickly.
Marcel is my favorite theme park horror author.
Theme Park / math / cosmic horror author
Objection! You can move the entrance building of the top spin and merry-go-round 1 down (for free), allowing guests to enter them. To fix this, you could just move the queue 1 tile further away.
oh yeah
You would also need to remove the exit path, as you can also for free swap entrance and exit locations
I wonder if Chris Sawyer ever looks at videos like these in amazement at people who abuse the game features.
5:30 Best line in the video 😂
I'm sure if you sold scenarios, scenery, or Roller Coasters on your OnlyFans you could imcrease that income stream 100 fold
So you’re saying… he’d make 0.022 euros every year or about 2.04 cents per year…
Marcel has a strange obsession with scenarios which take a gazillion lifetimes to finish
And coasters that take a gazillion lifetimes to complete
Sometimes I ask myself if these scenarios are some kind of thing you think about when youre high and just say "woaaaah dude... just think about 100.000.000 years... woah..." ;) :D
@@raviormetal1653 Probably
I keep saying it, I have never played this game, I have no idea of the mechanics, but I absolutely love Marcels sarcastic commentry, wit, and utter and merciless cruelty in how he treats his guests.
Me too!
Actually it's quite a fun game if you're not playing it intentionally wrong 😂
It’s been interesting watching you evolve from “Here are some fun tips for playing Roller Coaster Tycoon :)” to “Hell wasn’t bad enough so I have constructed MegaHell”
I noticed that the rollercoaster was called "Chilean Miner Experience."
Was that a reference to the 2010 Copiapó Mining Accident / The San José Mines Rescue? Cause I remember that I was 8 at the time of the accident, and since I live in Chile I got to see the evolution of the situation everyday on the news for the 69 days the miners were trapped.
I remember it was a time of both hope and dread, for we didn't know if they would've been able to rescue the 33 miners, but it felt like all the country was united in wanting their rescue.
If it was a reference to that, thanks Marcel, since it was an important part of Chilean history :3
Holy crap I burst out laughing when I saw the name of that coaster
It's hilarious
Same here!
The "Chilean Miner Experience" really lives up to its name, since it traps the guests underground for what feels like an eternity...
5:38 "about what I make from my of"
I didn't expect to laugh this hard today
Honestly I should've expected one of these slow scenarios to be combined with one of your very long coasters
"I want to get off Chilean Mining Experience"
Ooooooof 🤣
I am going to play and revieuw this scenario, and rest assured, I will notify you all when i reach the finish after a staggering 100,000,000 years :)
Why not speed it up?
This is amazing how even there's an anti cheese mechanism. I love these little puzzles.
This, somehow, isn’t painful enough.
We need to go beyond constant micromanaging and into the realm of actual, literal torture of the player.
Marcel checking in at Hell:
'This man killed thousands of guests with no remorse, what should we do with him? Give him a chance to leave?'
'Yes, if he finished a certain senario that he made himself'
Marcel: Due to a glitch I didn't mention I just beat it.
Satan: FUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
I always like to see the battle of Marcel against the Heat Death of the Universe. Really thrilling.
I love your vids, Marcel. You're a pillar of the community.
I imagine this is how the first SAW guy came to be.. You are on a good track Marcel!
“The profit is 0.02 cents per year which is about as much as I make from my OnlyFans”
Couldnt you just swap the entrance and exits of the merry go round and gravitron so that guests could enter them and make money that way?
I thought the same thing. Does it cost money?
Yup... I somehow missed that. Luckily that doesn't affect the main point of the video as they are just for show and the scenario would work with them removed.
I was about to post this exact thing, I thought maybe he did something particularly evil by making the few units of land that could save you not owned by the park
@MarcelVos if you design both queue lines of those rides to not being near the rides the changing entrance tiles trick cannot work
Marcel has branched out from torturing park guests to torturing RCT2 players
Nice coaster name.
Greetings from Chile
"I call this ride 'Plate Tectonics'"
"Why's that?"
"Well, get in line and see for yourself!"
Next, Marcel will craft a video that takes 1 million years to watch
Some people think living 100 million years would be torture. Marcel would just use that time to do one of these scenarios in real time.
Geology: at, at last, a nice short relaxing game of OpenRCT
Doctor: so tell me, what is causing these exostensial nightmares?
Me: i watched a Marcel Vos video-
Doctor: say no more
The next challenge will be like:
In the beginning God said "Let there be light" immediately followed by "Where did this amusement park come from?"
This made me spit out my preferred beverage. Thank you for the laughs!
Scenarios like this always remind me of the story "What Football Will Look Like In The Future" where everyone just stopped dying, so they end up in mundane situations for millennia. It's an interactive web page story that I recommend googling.
But can't you just relocate the entrance buildings of the flat rides? Since entrances are free
Shit, you're right. Well, they were more for show anyway so I could just remove them.
@@MarcelVos Or you can block the other squares with trees, because they cost money to remove.
@@MarcelVos “you may have outsmarted me, but I have outsmarted your outsmarting!”
Cosmic radiation will affect your computer memory.
I can foresee 2 scenarios:
1 A bit is flipped that crashes the game, or the save file, or the game files itself. This makes it impossible to complete the challenge.
2 A bit is flipped that allows you to finish the game early.
1 is much more likely than 2. And this ignores the decay of the computer itself, the decay of yourself, and the decay of society including a functioning power grid.
that assumes we're running this scenario on hardware that's susceptible to these things, which doesn't have to be the case.
@@Nasiulciaa All hardware is susceptible to this, albeit that there are some ways to reduce the sensitivity. A 100 million years means a lot of radiation.
@@Krasbin you could make hardware with lots of error correction used where the probability of a bit flip affecting anything would be next to zero. on top of that you can save the state of the game every few frames and load it in case of an irrecoverable bit corruption
@@Nasiulciaa Both RAM and storage memory are susceptible to radiation. Again, you can harden your system, but can you harden it against 100 years of radiation?
Marcel's vids hit different
These sorts of scenarios are fascinating. What other sorts of gimmick/puzzle scenarios are possible? Maybe one where you need to get a large number of guests, but the park is so small that you could never get the soft guest cap up that high (Ads disabled, obviously). The hard part is figuring out which obscure game mechanic to abuse that would let you get the proper amount of guests without letting the rating go down from overcrowding. Plus by now, most of us know about tricks like spamming entertainers and trapping guests in a massive queue line for a free transport ride (Of course, in this case, the map would be minuscule, so you could only make the queue line trap so large anyway).
Just spitballing ideas
can’t wait for fhe 2.3 quintillion year long scenario
when i first discovered this channel it was about building cool roller coasters. now it is about the infinit dred when confronted with the overbearing immensity of time, and the uncaring nature of math.
Hahaha...You have done speedruns with a scenarios finishing in 3 seconds...to this....clap clap...Brilliant
That only fans joke caught me off guard. 🤣
I like this new "Marcel finds ways to torture scenario players for unfathomably long periods of time" series.
Welcome to the Marcel Vos channel where you watch math and exponents lectures veiled as funny roller coaster game videos
I like how this one is much more aesthetically pleasing than the previous unreasonably long scenario. On the surface it looks like a real scenario, rather than a precision-engineered player torture device.
Marcel, you're legit frightening me.
Ik heb dit spel nog gespeeld en ga dat waarschijnlijk ook nooit doen maar ik vond jouw videos gewoon zo leuk om te kijken
A simple question exists and one man is willing to answer it for mankind.
And then the game crashes (or Windows updates, or you lose power, or your computer releases the Magic Smoke, etc) and you lose all that progress.
"Chilean Miner Experience" lmao
I was thinking on relocating the entrance to the flat rides, but saw you comment haha
Marcels new “Universe Coaster” project: Universe Park.
RCT is my favourite survival horror.
Just declare bankruptcy already, before the first million next time!!
Ok, let me turn on my time machine, go back to the dinosaur age and start this park
Biggest lesson I got from this video is the sigma male business hack of firing staff before the first pay day.
I've seen this ride. I forgot who did it, but they made a ride that would take longer than the heat death of the universe to complete on a normal time frame.
there's something existentially horrifying about the massive rollercoaster being underground
i'll go back in time and ask the velociraptors to supervise my computer until i get born so i can complete the scenario
I see a Marcel notification, I click ASAP
Anexiety Coaster Tycoon
"You're a madman, Wongburger!"

Marcel blink twice if you need help.
*The Chilean Miner Experience*
Nice.
How about making a maze of a bunch of free transport rides, that have to be taken before guests can reach the ride that allows you to earn money? Minimal path, only from 1 transride to another.
Or use 1 way signs on the path
"I will see you in the next video... in one hundred million years!"
Me, seeing the title of the video: my god he's done it again
Most people: /have normal kinks/
Marcel Vos:
You know when I first saw 'Mr. Bones Wild Ride' I figure that was the peak of how we can take such intricate and Sociopathic ways to torture NPCs.
Oh how foolish I was... we can go even further.
The coaster is called "the Chillian miners experience" 😂😂😂
This feels like Marcel's villain arc.
"Honey, do you want to go see the roller coaster that appears every 1800 years?"
Why people are fighting wars over politics and endlessly discussing policy and morality, when Marcel out here solving the real important problems facing humanity?
Those millions year long parks feel like something that can be a setting for an episode in some sci-fi series. Like Doctor Who goes to amusement park kinda scenario
Ya boi really went 'Are you a true masochist? Find out with this simple trick!'
What rides did you go on today?
I went on the Chilean Miner Experiment
*Ride employee unstraps two dusty skeletons and throws them out from the seats.... "Next."
holy wow, this is insane !
Modern games: 6-8h
RCT2: you cant fathom my power!
I'm surprised the nausea isn't higher on the "Chilean Miner Experience"!
Chilean Miner Experience. That's brutal. Not many people know how the mines in Chile look like.
So if I start it now, when I'm finished continental drift will have glued the American west coast against Japan? Seems fun.
Ah yes roller coaster tycoon where you can build rollercoasters and unfathomable purgatory’s
Imagine waiting 900 years to get on a ride
i love this genre of fucked up ASMRpark video, incredible stuff!
"in my next video we will be beating RCT2 just in time to witness the heat death of the universe!"
So I found out that colors do matter for park value if I made colors look nice or something and the park value would go up so colors do play an important part in this game for park value goal scenarios
Colors have zero effect on the park value in RCT1 and 2.
@@MarcelVos i think he was confused a bit, but I think he spoke about the daziling colour award that could increase by 25%, the guest spawn rate, but I think it need more than 3 rides to work
This ride makes Mr.Bones blush.
Mom: "You can complete just one park before bed."
Madness.... I just feeling mad hearing this!)))
Love these puzzles.
Ooh baby Do you know that ride's worth?
People say Hell is a place on Earth
They say in Hell people get hurt

...I saw 3:20
jesus christ you're a sadist
Now synchronize that rude with another one so it takes even longer!
I wonder if there's any way to prevent the player from being able to speed up, such as having guests somehow constantly falling into water and needing to be rescued...?
You sir, are a genius.
@@MarcelVos It just dawned on me I just gave you another excuse to drown guests, and now for millions of years.
