'I felt like I was smuggling drugs when I was buying formula'. I can imagine the feeling and I'm not even a mom. But the pressure for moms these days is so unfair. I loved the openness and honesty. Thank you for sharing!
Luckily I never had anyone really comment on us/me using formula, except my Mom because I don't believe she used it much with me. I think she just assumed I wouldn't use formula but I planned to and didn't get into it but just said we would.
If you brought Kylie here I would like to know: - how she felt about becoming a mom at such a young age; - how she keeps up with being a billionaire and a first time mom; - what were the factors that lead her to decide to not breastfeed. This conversation was amazing! We hope we get to see more conversations like this.
Anisha Juuko “Young” is a relative adjective. It may be common to get pregnant while you’re still underage, but I myself consider the 20s to still be a young age to be a mom. It depends on what you’re expecting.
Khloe is a lovely speaker. Very honest and open about her struggle. Mother shaming is never okay and the worst part is that it’s women putting other women down when we’re supposed to be supporting each other. You can point something out and offer advice without being condescending
Women supporting each other only happens in a perfect world. But in the real world, mother-shaming and women putting other women down happens every day.
I wish Kourtney shared more of her experience on breastfeeding. Her reasons for going for 18 months, her struggles, why she felt it was important, her journey. It sometimes feel like breastfeeding moms can’t congratulate their goals without risking making someone else feel bad/offended by not reaching theirs.
Kourtney I hope you read this. I’m happy for you that you finally took a break from the show. It was a long time coming! I also hope you’re in a good place right now. I’ve witnessed all the toxicity thrown at you from your own family. Idk if it’s just my perspective or how the show is edited but the way they always make you out as the culprit of fights & then expect you to always be the one to make things “right” I also feel that people can be triggered & eventually shut themselves off due to constant bullying or criticism. You have been the reason why I’ve watched the show! I’ll miss you but I hope you find the peace you need & I hope your family finds a way to understand you 🙏🏼✌🏼❣️
Breastfeeding is hard. Shoutout to all the breastfeeding 🤱🏻 mamas out there. I breastfed my baby for 6 months and it was not easy but I would do it all over again.
Glad their talking about this. Same family different stories . I remember I was producing endless amounts of milk. Like, barely had room in the freezer for all the storage baggies. Then came a time when production slowed down big down. I'll never forget 10.5 years ago my little brother spilled a bottle of breast milk and I flipped shit. I had to start formula shortly after and the first time I used it I cried. Not to mention my little had digestive problems as well so it was constant trial and error finding something that didn't make him puke. The amount of pressure society puts on woman is insane but the amount of pressure we put on ourselves is just as sad. Most parents would die for their kids but that doesn't mean it's going to solve the issue.
I love that Kylie made her choice from the beginning, that she wasn’t going to breastfeed. People forget that the mum is a person to and it has to be right for mum and baby. We love our children but they can into our lives, so our happiness shouldn’t be forgotten. Breast is best but mental health matters too.
I chose not to from the start, for me it was the fact that I wanted my body back and I wanted my spouse or babysitters to be able to be equal helpers too.
@@mariaemad6663 No clue but I wonder if she will ever explain more. I am guessing because she is younger and thought it might be difficult? IDK, whatever worked for her.
In Europe you stay at the hospital for 4 days after you give birth and they help you/ teach you/ guide how to breastfeed. And if after few days you really cant breastfeed cause you don’t have milk they introduce you to formula. Shout out to all moms ❤️ you are amazing!
I love this video. I breastfed my daughter for 21 months and my son is 16 months and still breastfeeding. However, I am so for formula feeding when it’s needed or wanted. Moms just need to be supportive of each other! ❤️
My breastfeeding journey was TORTURE! I almost gave up. But after an entire month of my nipples literally being on FIRE, the baby finally latched on perfectly. His 15 months now we still are breastfeeding.... but at first we had to supplement with formula coz I wasn't producing enough milk... and it's true I felt like I was failing my baby in a way. But thank God it worked out in the end. However my breastfeeding journey was the hardest part of my pregnancy and post delivery for sure!
Thank you so so much for talking about this. I feel like all you ever see on social media is everyone having a “perfect” breastfeeding journey and for me that just wasn’t it. I formula fed my daughter and felt so bad about it. But now she’s a healthy, happy two year old and I know I did what was best for both of us. No matter how we feed our babies we are all amazing mamas! ❤️
LOOOVVEEE! I’ve waited so long for a video of you and your sisters talking about feeding your baby’s! Thank you so much for sharing! Your opinions really do matter to a lot of us.
This is great content. It's so important to speak about breastfeeding and how hard it is. It was torture for me and I had no idea how difficult it could be. "It is unneeded stress." - so true! These experiences should be shared.
My kids are adopted and were bottle-fed. I gave them massages every night after their baths. They had/have amazing immune systems rarely getting sick! I agree with Khloe! Bonding, sleep, good food, play, love, laughing, sunshine all help with good immune systems!!
Thanks Khloe for sharing your breastfeeding experience. I had a similar experience and just still feel like I failed, I failed my daughter but hearing you today makes me feel so much better 😊thank you so much!!!!
this is my favorite content! if you could, i’d recommend getting a mic that plugs into the camera, it’s more clear and better quality audio 😊 as a new mom, I love this
Wow khloe finally talking honestly from her life experience. Everything she experienced i also went thru . All the feeling about trying so hard to breastfeed and feeling like a failure is so real. And connot be understood unless you too went thru it. And about immune system i managed to breastfeed for 12 months and i was done. Baby never got sick. And i was happy i managed for one year even if i was miserable but now im so much happier.
I love this♥️. I had the same problem with my son 19 years ago. The doctors and nurses shamed me way more then anyone else did. You need to do what is right for you and your baby.
My first I got 2 months of breastfeeding and it was a nightmare, a miserable struggle and feeling defeated it send me into a PPD dark hole. I felt so judged. By the time I had my 2nd I decided to just do formula for my mental health and I received so much hate and shameful comments. My bf baby was always sick and my formula baby was never sick. Love Khloe, she’s my kinda Mom. Thank you for not judging ❤️❤️
I am still breastfeeding my son at 2. Never in my life did I think we’d go this far but here we are lol. It was very difficult for me in the beginning. That’s why I started my channel to talk about all the hard things we go through as moms. At the end of the day you have to do what’s best for your mental health and your child, whatever that decision may be
Breastmilk provides passive immunity so there is no argument that it provides higher immune function... however, every woman should make these decisions for themselves
Indeed, that is not an opinion but a FACT. Khloe saying she doesn't believe in the stronger immune system from breastfed babies made me cringe so hard.
I know from anecdotal experience for this to be true. I was breastfed and I am rarely sick, whereas my boyfriend was raised on formula and he’s got numerous allergies and gets a lot of colds.
I had a similar experience to khloe. I ultimately had to buy formula and felt so defeated, but the stress it took off me was so magical! I still breastfeed and pump my 10 month old, but she gets about 1/2 breastmilk 1/2 formula per day, along with solids.
Breastfeeding is hard!! My milk supply was so low as well! My doctor prescribed metoclopramide and my milk came in the next day! It really helped my milk supply. I've been exclusively pumping for almost a year now. The pump combination that really helped me was the Freemie cups and the Baby Buddha pump! I wish I had it from the start because it was hard pumping every 3 hours and trying to take care of the household. Hope that helps anyone. ❤😊

Breastfeeding was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done but it was so rewarding. I breastfed my son for 14.5 months. When I got to my goal (a year) I then put pressure on my self to continue until 2 because I read extended breastfeeding was good. I quit pumping because that was the worst part of breastfeeding so eventually my supply dropped and when my son nursed it was so painful because there was no milk and I made the decision to stop and it was easy because I stopped when it was best for us. Please stop judging mothers whether they breastfeed or not. We are already so hard on ourselves that extra opinions only make us feel worse. I always tell new moms that breastfeeding is their choice, it’s not for everyone & that’s ok 👌🏾 ❤️
I breast fed my first child for about a year and felt like I produced so so much and was killing it and then I had my son and I was like this time will be easy and he was unstoppably hungry that I just couldn’t keep up, and the second he had a bottle he never wanted the breast again so I just kept struggling to pump and it was just never enough

Yes exactly. I breastfed my daughter for 18 and a half months but if you say anything about it people look at you like your belittling someone else.
Exactly! Women need to evacuate why they are constantly jealous of other women for no good reason.

Khloe, breastfeeding is good for the baby and makes its immunity stronger and it is also importand for the development of its brain.
