The most wellplayed love story in any kdrama ever. The two actors have an incredible interaction. Incredible talented play. And the story is so much deeper and closer to messy real life than any other kdrama I’ve seen. I hope to see theese two act together again. Can’t understand why it is not loved in Korea.
Even though I didn't like their toxic relationship, I love this Drama with all my heart. It is also one of the Dramas that I would love to watch for the first time again. It's just so good, I love the main leads AND the other couples that formed during this Drama sm!
I cried throughout this entire drama literally.......he reminds me of the guy I liked ABT a year ago we never dated but our relationship was somewhat close...three years I couldn't get over him even when he'd ignore me for weeks still..... When he asked her "do you really hate me that much" it reminded me of when he asked me that exact question......I felt her emotions everything its hard dating or loving someone like tht n ik first hand it's like yes they want it n the say ily often but you're not in a relationship.......to save myself I moved away n gave up everything cuz Ik if he ever stood before me again even if I'd had enough I'd still love him took me an entire year to be able to move forward officially n some ppl will never understand what that's like 🙁🙁🙁🙁
All this series proved is that if the guy is super attractive people will dismiss all of his flaws to being misunderstood or dealing with past hurt. He was horrible to her, and he worked hard to shattered her confidence just for his enjoyment. He wasn't any better than her ex.
I had an entirely different experience with this series. Yes, he was a playboy when they met, but when they decided to be together, he was with her exclusively and fell in love. She let all of the rumors & gossip, along her friend's opinions shatter her confidence in what they were building together. She let their negativity get in her head, along with the conniving ex-girlfriend that lied, and left him. He wasn't doing what he was accused of when he was with her. He was exclusive and falling in love for the first time. It was real and it was beautiful. She panicked. She ran. I haven't rewatched it since it first came out, so I might think differently if I watched it again. Maybe I missed some things, but I really liked this series and their story.

As for attractiveness, she is just as beautiful as he is handsome. I didn't notice him behaving badly while he was with her. He actually tries to sleep with her as a form of revenge, but it’s NABI’S STRENGTH that she realizes that it’s best to leave him. After she leaves him, he goes back to his ways. He uses the same tactic to get what he wants from other girls. Nabi grew to know her worth, and realized she was better off with the other guy who treated her better.

He set out to play with her just like he did others without commiting. He didn't expect to fall in love so when his feelings started getting deep he didn't know how to control it. In fact he didn't understand or like it so he kept pulling back. I liked this series because it was real.
Finally somebody gets it... this is exactly what this story is about.. he was a player because he felt safe.. in the real world there are so many men like this and they have the woman who love them.. it's a tail as old as time.
People misunderstood him a lot. Honestly he wanted to play at first because it's how people saw him as. Even his 'friends'. But he found someone that actually liked him for him. And who he liked back. Beautiful story

It shows that emotions can be so deep, it can hurt physically. It can also be so deep, it can make you feel free and beautiful like a butterfly flitting from flower to flower. But in all the ups and downs, you know you have a choice, to leave it, or to stay. So which would hurt more? In this drama, both Fl and Ml saw a relationship differently. As the song, Love me Like that, from the drama goes, “you see the world in colours, I see it in black and white”. With two such different perspectives they both must encounter problems. They both fell in love with each other from the start. She always knew she loved him. It took him some time to realise his love. And when he did he allowed his vulnerability to show. This she saw and made her decide to give them another chance. She could have been happy with her best friend. But that road would have been smooth and long and cause one to fall asleep (out of boredom?). But with ml, that road would always have ups and downs. Keeping you awake not knowing when the next bump would appear. But knowing through all these, that he loves her.
I feel the reason why this drama is toxic is the fact that she did not give herself time to love herself before getting into a situationship, undefined relationship with him and since she knew that he does not get into relationships. They put themselves through a lot before they figured it out at the end

I think he love Nabi from the beginning, but because he don’t want to get hurt in a relationship, so he never fall in love with someone, only sex relationship. But Nabi is something he want to keep , and he don’t know how to do, so when he found out nabi have other chaser, he is nervous and worry, it show that he care nabi, if he don’t love, he can find another woman to replace nabi easily.

I am stuck on this KDrama. I love it. If you've ever been in one of these push-pull relationships, you know they are exquisitely painful and hard to leave behind. The ANGST of the relationship was so well acted.
No matter how toxic their relationship was...I liked their chemistry..I wanted them together....not because of any good looks...I just like them together...and man! Let's be Frank...he really sincerely loved her, he just didn't know how to show it...I'm not saying this because he is handsome#.

In all honesty, I don't think their relationship was that toxic Jae Eon wasn't as bad as he was portrayed in the series He was a playboy who fell in love and didn't know what to do about how he felt I felt so sorry for him He was really lost

I hadn’t realised Song Kang also played in “My Demon” until I read it online! Loved that series too. Saw him first in Navillera. Good acting, a very beautiful faced man, I love those expressive eyes! Am I the only person not on the “toxic” train? Yes, he played the field, but when he was with Nabi, he was hers exclusively. There were times when I thought she needed a good talking to, her character far from earning my sympathy just got on my nerves and annoyed me.
A lot of people hate on jaeon , and tbh I also wasnt fond of him at first but then i actually understood why he was like that.... At first when they met then he was meeting some other girl which showed he was a playboy but later he told nabi that he had seen her b4 thts why he made a move on her... But he was still a playboy cos he never received real love, girls just liked him cos he was good looking . He didnt have the best relationship with his parents also.I just hope everyone who calls him a red flag sees this bcos he changed himself for her at last , he stayed away from her and looked at her from a distance .

And when we talk about his Playboy character,its not because he was attractive so Nabi forgive him but he tried to become a better version of himself when he realised he really love Nabi....when nabi rejected him and her painful expression made him realise he hurt her so much and after that he didn't get involve in any relationship even tried to leave for states but he helped Nabi to make his destroyed piece into a new one and apart from this he was already attracted towards her when he first saw her at her ex's exibition.....and Nabi knew she can get hurt again but she became confident after realising the changes in him....she might think she can make him a better person and ya u can't make someone to turn over a new leaf immediately, it takes time... Just finished watching this series for the 3rd time. Loved this K-Drama but then its ending did not seem like 'the real ending' because the girl was not fully convinced that she made the right choice. But to be honest, it felt soo real and intense! The girl was stuck between what's right and what she wanted. It is the most realistic series I've seen where they protrayed the bad boy accurately and how getting the attention from such a guy made the girl feel incredible but later felt miserable when she found out that he treat other girls also the same way. The bad boy stayed mysterious throughout the show as the starting episodes were all shown from the girl's side and narration, and we didnt get to hear his side of the story. But towards the end, when the bad boy realized he had real feelings for her (when she said she regretted doing all the things / moments spent with him), I loved it how we saw whats going on in his mind through his narration. Eventhough the girl knew she'll be hurt, she made her choice in the end. I don't really agree with her choice, but I love how the writer(s) kept it real because I think thats how people are in real life. We take steps blindly when it comes to love. Kept it 100% real. Thanks to the writers and Netflix for this series. ❤

To be honest I really watched it from a pretty cinematographic point of view cause it's just a beautiful show. I don't think he was toxic but both of them had some kind of trauma about relationships (we know the girl had a reeeeaaaly awful ex). Of corse the boy was the main problem there, mostly because of the way he perceived relationships and what they meant to him. Another point people are missing is how the girl knew it wasn't a good thing but went with it nevertheless (literally the hole point of the show). It's really interesting to see how the characters evolve and accept each other and for me is a beautiful show about a not so beautiful story. The show was made y a woman and the point of view is very interesting. I recommend you to watch it and make your own point of view.

I hadn’t realised Song Kang also played in “My Demon” until I read it online! Loved that series too. Saw him first in Navillera. Good acting, a very beautiful faced man, I love those expressive eyes!
Am I the only person not on the “toxic” train? Yes, he played the field, but when he was with Nabi, he was hers exclusively. There were times when I thought she needed a good talking to, her character far from earning my sympathy just got on my nerves and annoyed me.
I think towards the end she treated him badly and I felt sorry for him. After all she agreed to the arrangement in the first place.
And this is why people get into crappy relationships. Dramas like these reinforce such relationships under the pretense that things will work out

A lot of people hate on jaeon , and tbh I also wasnt fond of him at first but then i actually understood why he was like that....
At first when they met then he was meeting some other girl which showed he was a playboy but later he told nabi that he had seen her b4 thts why he made a move on her...
But he was still a playboy cos he never received real love, girls just liked him cos he was good looking . He didnt have the best relationship with his parents also.I just hope everyone who calls him a red flag sees this bcos he changed himself for her at last , he stayed away from her and looked at her from a distance .

I'm not saying who is wrong or right in this drama but it's title is nevertheless, so whatever happens in the future it's not certain, just live today and try ur best to do what u want to right now...
And when we talk about his Playboy character,its not because he was attractive so Nabi forgive him but he tried to become a better version of himself when he realised he really love Nabi....when nabi rejected him and her painful expression made him realise he hurt her so much and after that he didn't get involve in any relationship even tried to leave for states but he helped Nabi to make his destroyed piece into a new one and apart from this he was already attracted towards her when he first saw her at her ex's exibition.....and Nabi knew she can get hurt again but she became confident after realising the changes in him....she might think she can make him a better person and ya u can't make someone to turn over a new leaf immediately, it takes time...
It's just my opinion on the drama.. don't get offensive anyone 🙃
While watching the drama, I thought why she fell for a jerk, a total red flag , like him? Then I remembered I would also fall for the guy with that look. My weakness for hot guys 😂
Just finished watching this series for the 3rd time.
Loved this K-Drama but then its ending did not seem like 'the real ending' because the girl was not fully convinced that she made the right choice. But to be honest, it felt soo real and intense! The girl was stuck between what's right and what she wanted. It is the most realistic series I've seen where they protrayed the bad boy accurately and how getting the attention from such a guy made the girl feel incredible but later felt miserable when she found out that he treat other girls also the same way. The bad boy stayed mysterious throughout the show as the starting episodes were all shown from the girl's side and narration, and we didnt get to hear his side of the story. But towards the end, when the bad boy realized he had real feelings for her (when she said she regretted doing all the things / moments spent with him), I loved it how we saw whats going on in his mind through his narration.
Eventhough the girl knew she'll be hurt, she made her choice in the end. I don't really agree with her choice, but I love how the writer(s) kept it real because I think thats how people are in real life. We take steps blindly when it comes to love. Kept it 100% real. Thanks to the writers and Netflix for this series. ❤

To be honest I really watched it from a pretty cinematographic point of view cause it's just a beautiful show. I don't think he was toxic but both of them had some kind of trauma about relationships (we know the girl had a reeeeaaaly awful ex). Of corse the boy was the main problem there, mostly because of the way he perceived relationships and what they meant to him.
Another point people are missing is how the girl knew it wasn't a good thing but went with it nevertheless (literally the hole point of the show). It's really interesting to see how the characters evolve and accept each other and for me is a beautiful show about a not so beautiful story. The show was made y a woman and the point of view is very interesting. I recommend you to watch it and make your own point of view.
