Having conceded to Willian's close-range strike in the first half, Jürgen Klopp's side came back stronger after the break. Curtis Jones equalised in the 68th minute and then three minutes later, substitutes Darwin Nunez & Cody Gakpo combined for the latter to provide the Reds with the advantage going into the second leg.

It’s too early today “what a player”. He needs to do that consistently to barely get in Trent’s shoes. But ideal setup will be a world class right back replacement, and Trent moving into midfield. Imagine the damage on the other teams

i dont think skill is the most highlighted trait of Jota, but his composure and decision making. Its been a while since we see player so calm like him in front of the goal even in tight space when he surrounded by opponent players. He always make the right decision. Plus, since game vs Arsenal when playing without Salah i dont know if its just me but its look like Jota become the leader of our attacker(like van dijk to our defender). He even sometimes give instruction to Nunez and Diaz on where to go or pass(like Diaz goal vs arsenal).

Infact what Darwin Nunez brings to the table is enormous, for me I don't care even if he doesn't score again because he creates space for others to get the job done.
Liverpool was losing, Darwin came in and changed the game, again he was denied the goal, but he gave 2 assists, dragged the defenders, and created many dangerous plays. Always on my team.

Klopps subs this season are so much better than what we’ve had before. Affects the game and results, it’s no coincidence the amount of late goals we score

The problem with that is a lot of our goals come from overloading the midfield or a wing back overlap run on a counter. That doesn't happen nearly as much if say a 10 is already covering Trent.

Loves how a fit Jota runs at the defence. I feel Liverpool needs another player to do 1-2 link up plays to split the defence and allow Jota to do his assassin runs into the box to slot home the goals. Darwin on the LW feels a lot more assured as he can use his speed to split defence.
