As a huge fan of chick and his music such as electric band, I was at first disappointed you didn’t know them by name,but watching you’re reaction I’m reminded to the first time I got mind blown by this music. So thank you that was refreshing to see new listeners and appreciation for such mastery.

Not a fan of Gambale, but I love the others. I saw them several times, and he either was shredding, or just standing there. No comping or supporting others. Fast player with no soul.
Thanks for making the youth listen to “real” music instead of just machine-music going on “loops” while someone raps.. I just can’t stop laughing when u called John Patitucci as the “bassman” and saxophonist Eric Marienthal as Marcus Miller (a lengendary black bassist). I grew up to Chick Corea’s music and his Electric Band, to me, is the Cherry on top of his vast collections. I had the pleasure of watching Chick Corea live a few times in Singapore and with the Electric Band at Indonesia’s Java Jazz. So keep sharing these cool music that the youth are actually missing out on... I listen to R&B, Soul, Raps and all that cool stuffs but to me Jazz and Chick Corea Electric Band is my staple. Cheers

The bassist is John Patitucci. He played with guys like BB King, Joao Gilberto, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, George Benson, Stan Getz et cetera.
