We don't know if we will have enough time to finish, but we do know that we have time to start. We have a tendency to delay, but the only time that we have is now; and since we got to wake up today, we have the chance to say "Now, I begin".

Thank you Father Mike this was so poignant for me yesterday April 27th I lost my twin brother to cancer. Today I'm still here for how long don't know but I am thankful that even in my pain God gave me time still to make a difference .❤

I need to go to confession. I started to prepare last year at the end of lent! Then I lost my drive. I am preparing again but found I have so much to learn about my Lord, my religion, how to live in general. Fr. Mike and Fr. Alar have taught me so much that I never knew. I crave for more knowledge, for a priest I feel very comfortable with. Now I feel like God is sending me this message that if I don’t do it now, I will run out of time. Please pray for me to finish this quest for Jesus ASAP. Thank you and God bless 🙏🙏

Don’t think about it,Rita, just do it , I know it’s hard, I’ve been trying to do it myself too, I got confessed a few months ago but it didn’t feel like it was right, so I’m preparing to do it again and this time full confession, I wish you the best may the lord guide you to his way , he’s so merciful, love you!!

This man is just amazing... I don't understand, and maybe that's the beautiful mystery of the Lord, but it seems like every time I listen to Father Mike's homily it feels like every sentence is tailored for the struggle I'm currently going through. Thank you Father Mike, I got to wake up today, and now I begin.
"Delayed obedience is disobedience." That hit me hard today. Since I want to convert but have been delaying because I live with anti-Catholic parents

Thank you Father Mike, I needed to be asked this because life this week has been so so stressful for my family financially, physically, and mentally. My trust in Jesus is there but is it truly. This is so profound. I love the idea of being a perpetual beginner. Walking with God is an amazing journey. I am 59 years into this journey and every day to wake up to his mercies and to wait and see what he has for me to accomplish. What a joy that is. He also has provided in amazing ways for my needs. Sometimes I frustrate myself by looking back at my failures. Thank God for his unfailing love each morning. So run and don't look back and waste no time. The journey is amazing.

Father Mike i have been thinking that i didn't know enough to talk to others about my faith and there faith but today I am at work (per my schedule) after I heard you talk today I went to the cafeteria and talked about my catholic faith, and Jesus to the ladys sitting and eating. they were all so receptive to the words God gave me today. Thank you for your words today and for bring me closer to God and Jesus Christ today.

This really puts tears to my eyes. Hesitation to start because i would be bad at it. Or this is my favorite...there are better people out there for this. I'm not good enough. Something i loved doing, being a Casa/GAL. I had to walk away. God keeps telling me to get back in there! Start again.

Father Mike or anyone who reads this I feel like I’m losing my faith I haven’t been a good person and I feel like I’m drifting from God what should I do
Hi-your comment caught my eye and I felt this. Man, I have been there, I am there-like Father Mike says-every. Single. Day. But I was at a really low point a few years ago-addiction, failure, really straying and felt like I couldn’t be reeled back in. I don’t know. It was a nasty, dark road. I just kept showing up to mass. Started making a habit of confession, digging out the crud that was bugging me-even my resentment and anger at the church. Then I discovered Eucharistic adoration. You just go and sit there in His presence. Just. Sit. There. Ask Him to come find you. You can’t do too many bad things when you’re sitting there with Christ. I don’t know if that helps. I have to keep showing up to everything sometimes. Maybe it’s just me and my contrary, rebellious heart. But I have experienced healing and moments of peace. Enough to keep coming back.
Several options: Start by going to a church ask the same question of the Priest, Catholic friend, or sign up for RCIA classes and LEARN so you can choose knowing what it is you are signing up for. Please RCIA.
No matter what good you have failed to do, no matter what bad you have done, God waits with his ocean of mercy to welcome you back to him! There is NO bad thing greater than God and his mercy! He knows you by name, he made you for a purpose. Please go to your nearest priest or solid Catholic friend and share your story. You matter and are loved!
First of all bravo for asking this question! It means you have hope. Secondly, you should remember that He waits for you- always. He is with you at all times even when you sin. You should talk to Him, ask Him to forgive you and help you to avoid what leads you to sin. You should pray. You should go to Mass. AND GO TO ADORATION, I find so much peace when sitting quietly with Jesus. Keep asking for help, keep reaching out, I promise you one day you’re going to look back and see how much easier it is to be a good person when you fill your time with Him- there isn’t time to be a bad person when you immerse yourself in God and his perfection. God bless you! I’ll be praying over here for you. I’m glad you’re trying to find a way!

It’s a mistake to think that God doesn’t understand all of this: your struggles, your doubts, your fears, or whatever is holding you back. He created you, He knows you fully, He loves you with all of that, good and bad. He lived this life and all its struggles. He encountered them too, even if the Bible doesn’t record each detail. We know this most when He asked God to let this cup of suffering pass during His passion. He knows you are trying, keep trying, He is there to help you with these struggles, so bring them to Him, share them with Him. Those who need Him most have the most access to Him. He came to heal us and bring us back to Himself, that’s His mission, so have confidence that even the most incremental of progress is still progress. As father Mike also said you will be bad at it at first and that’s ok, to be good/great at something, you have to start by being bad at it as a beginner. And he gave you permission to be a perpetual beginner, to keep failing and being a beginner over and over again for as long as it takes.

YJMJ Time is a mere construct. Likened to Mankind being inside a water balloon that is in a vast ocean .✝️ Expert disciples ought not to speak in abbreviated English.
If a woman has that same calling, she's forced to settle becoming a Nun (which keeps women in a position of "less than" and no voice in the Church's decisions). Not the idea of "equal" in any religion. That the church normalizes patriarchy and misogyny is so wrong. Yup, I'm a Cradle Catholic, I've listened to the BIY three years in a row. I've listened to CIY for one year. Had I had the opportunity to listen to those two podcasts when I was younger, I doubt I would have stayed Catholic this long.

"We pray that the dignity and immense value of women be recognized in every culture, and for the end of discrimination that they experience in different parts of the world."
I encourage you to continue to struggle with, research, and pray about the Church's unchanging teaching that only men can serve as priests. I also encourage you to consider the perspective that the Church is not for the sake of building or establishing a patriarchy, but rather a monarchy with Christ as King.
