- Rex Heuermann was charged with killing at least three women and remains a lead suspect in a fourth death. The women are three of the 11 victims whose remains were found along Gilgo Beach in 2010 and 2011. Thomas Hargrove, founder of the Murder Accountability Project, tells "Banfield" his team believes there's a much larger number of unsolved homicides that may be connected to the case.

If they even found all the bodies at gilgo. Plus other areas he's lived.
Theres probably more body parts there, LE does not investigate like they should, a group of searcher volunteers need to comb that place and look, if i lived in that state i would form a search party and go raking up that sand.
There's a large wooded area near his house too. A NYPD detective has been saying they need to check there for more bodies.
You'll be raking forever, there's a heck of a lot of sand in Long Island.....
Cadaver dogs help know where to rake.

@@joanlynch5271 well, his brother was done for running someone over and killing them. Or something like that. He also lives in a large (to us in the uk) area of land that’s quite neglected. I’m sure there’s more victims that they don’t know of yet.
He has terrorized his neighbors. That’s about it. But he does need looking into.

Thirty years ago serial killers were stated to be 350. I believe more are active. Obviously if less are active then there are more victims and or killers undetected for longer periods of time
I wonder if serial killings are on the decline due technology in surveillance, digital trails, forensics such as luminol and ballistics advancements, cell phone tracking, and DNA...less easier to get away with

we have one in my small town and some folks know it but he's a former US Marshall and still carries a badge and gun, so all the folks he's unlived were justified. some of the families received some money in a civil suit but he's still killing. it's sick, folks are scared of him and he's probably got most of the local officials blackmailed to the point of extortion. classic psychopath and narcissist
