    Well if your gonna take it apart to see what makes it tick, it doesn't hurt to investigate what your options are to Tony Turbofy it or just in your infinite wisdom to find out if there's a way to improve it to get or squeeze out a little more range from the unit, maybe you'll turn it into a Tony Pro version 1,0 great video and glad to see you getting about a bit more, keep it going Tony, all the best 😎

    I've just realised this is the same scooter Andy Kirby has, he phaserunner'er'd his and took it to 2,500w. Similar to what you did to your Xiaomi! Its only a matter of time until this one gets the Tony treatment. I'm glad your channel is being recognised and they're sending you stuff 👍
    I wonder if they know you well enough to know its likely to be 3000w by the end of the month haha

      2.5kw? is that all? 😂
      It's going to take me some time (because I've got calculations to do so I only order the parts once) and I might even get another one, just so I've got a winter project to work on.
      I could have had a lot of scooters by now mate (Including the Zero 10X) but I'm not in the business of simply advertising, it has to be affordable and practical before I'll even consider it.

    Nice one Tony - things improved for me this year after getting a job and making a bit on Tesla shares, so I think I'll pull the trigger and get one of these. Site not reachable now though :(
    It pushes all the buttons for me too, with suspension, seat, power and price... not getting younger! Am still loving my 1.5kW ebike after 6 years, but parking it safely is still a problem, though I there are a couple of stores I use that let me ride in and park next to the checkouts.
    We've got Lime, Bird and Tier scooters in Budapest now, tried them out a couple of times but quickly found 25kmh to be a bit slow, but still useful if I got nowhere to park.

    Tony sorry about your pain I'm the same. If I can ask questions I've got 2000 watt bike kit controller is 35+2 amp is it remendand to solder shunt bars with solder to give more power. Crisscross ING wire in America hes a bit like you on bikes he solder the shunt bars niped then first then thin layer of solder on top of bars and its serpose to increase to 40 amp. Best of luch with your health I'm the same I'm 74yrs old and still I love my eltric bike I'm putting it in my coffin when I leave plantet earth

    • @Vortecks
      @Vortecks  Год назад

      Hi Colin, thanks for being concerned. I'm fine really, I just need to be very careful and never go over my limit or I'm bed-bound for a while afterwards.
      With regards to the controller - This is an example of people following bad examples. Your controller is designed to output 2000W and not 4000W.
      When you put solder on the shunt resistor(s), it makes the controller 'think' that it's outputting less than it actually is and then it keeps increasing the power. Whilst it will work, there is a big chance that it won't work for long because all the components that were designed to handle 2000W will be strained. I certainly don't recommend it to someone who knows little about electronics and how to keep things cool.

    • @colinwhite144
      @colinwhite144 Год назад

      @@Vortecks hi Tony first if a I miss you bad I watch you every day I miss that was it a ten pond note on desk where you were working. You have alot of knolage regarding ektrics. This controller is the same for a 1500wat. I've been in touch with crisscross ING wires in America hes got bike like yours an builds batteries so he done that shunt last year he does say if done wrong it can be were damage to controller. Tony I bought a 45amp controller for 2000wat and a display Sw900 that goes with it. The guy said if you use that controller I will get the power I want and not to do that to shunt bars. I did try my controller out and the torgue was great but it blown a fuse 30amp I was told to use 35to 40 amp. But I was thinking then it could blow my controller. So you no what I'd rather take your advice and I'm going to install the 45amp controller it's for 2000 and 3000wat trouble is it's heavy and bigger but at the end of day better to be safe than sorry. I still watch all your videos why your humour and to learn your a good teacher. I just wish we were all younger again take care Tony your a big miss on utube and watch your back it's the worse place to have pain thanks again Tony for your advice Colin

    • @Vortecks
      @Vortecks  Год назад

      @@colinwhite144 It was a £5 note Colin and I still have it 😊
      Testing out the limitations of anything requires a lot of knowledge and calculated risk. My scooter has a 3000w motor fitted but I'm pushing over 10kw through it. As long as you know what the risks are, you can take precautions and limit the possibility of damage. Fitting a bigger fuse to a controller will only make the damage worse if something does blow, so you're correct in not fitting a bigger fuse.
      The controller on my last ebike weighed nearly 5kg on its own but it was designed to handle the power, it's the downside of wanting more. Don't take a risk if you don't know the danger, you'll be stranded out in the middle of nowhere and (at very best) end up pushing it home, I don't want to mention the worst case scenario.

      @@Vortecks It does hurt the credibility of your review though. It is essentially a paid review, where they paid you £500 to advertise their product.
      So many of the fishing channels I followed sold out for free stuff. Then when I bought the products off the back of their review, they were total crap.

    • @Vortecks
      @Vortecks  3 года назад +1

      @@simonspencer397 Simon, I'm sorry but this has annoyed me and I don't wish to be tarred with the same brush as other people. I have not sold out and I will *NEVER* give a false review of any product, free or not.
      I've been looking for a scooter which fits all my needs and I didn't know that this one existed until they emailed me. As I put in the video "I've been looking for a scooter......" ruclips.net/video/Ag6qQXQrwts/видео.html The cost was also a factor and, if this one was £100 more, purely on principle, I wouldn't have replied.
      Also, in the description, I put "If they hadn't contacted me about reviewing one and simply sent me a link, I think I'd have bought one."
      I am not biased, I have not sold out and I was 100% prepared to pay for this thing out of my own money and the review would have been EXACTLY the same.
      If it makes you feel more comfortable, even after I've highlighted all the bad points with quality checking and rattles, I've just bought another one with my own money so can rip it apart and modify it. If I reviewed that one (which would have exactly the same outcome) would that make things more convincing?
      I get offers every week for free stuff (only yesterday, I was asked to review a pile of crap scooter) and, as I also mentioned in the video, I don't reply to them because I'd never have bought one myself and also, if I think it'll only be a negative review, I won't accept it.
      At the end of the day, it's the decision of the viewer whether it's crap or not, I can only highlight the good and bad points but I'm glad I got one of the bad ones so people do know that they're not all perfect.
      Sorry if I've 'gone off on one' but please understand that I do this for zero gain and I've lost contact with a lot of suppliers because I haven't reviewed things in a favourable way (Bogist might actually be added to the list now because I highlighted the bad points).
      Tony

    Amazing scooters - we bought 2. Has anyone worked out how to activate the cruise control yet??

    • @aovostore
      @aovostore 3 года назад +1

      Squeeze the brake on the left and turn it on. Within 3 seconds after turning on the power, slide the thumbstick (throttle), press it down three times in a row to release the thumbstick, and then release the brake. At this time, the cruise symbol flashes on the instrument, and the release is complete.😀

    My c1 Pro is showing E-3 sign and does not work now any ideas as to what could be the problem?

    • @Vortecks
      @Vortecks  2 года назад

      E-3 usually means a faulty brake lever sensor or a faulty hall sensor.
      Make sure your brake levers are returning to the full home position. If that's not the problem, you'll have to undo the bottom panel and check the connector with 5 wires (red, black, green, yellow and blue). Unplug it and plug it back in, that usually works.

      When I started out in the e-bike world, I was called a lot of names by people in cars who were passing by........until I turned around and overtook them. Now that e-bikes are everywhere, it doesn't happen.
      I've learnt that people don't like scooters because they're hogging the pavement and they see them as a menace but what about pushchairs? It's another case of social acceptance and these won't be socially accepted until a lot more people start using them. I bet pushchairs had a very hard time to be socially accepted but no one looks twice now. As long as you're being responsible, there's no reason why we can't all live in harmony and, as always, bollocks to what other people think 😉
