What I like about the entity is that it presents at first as mindless. It just walks at you, slowly, until it kills. However, in a few scenes (like the scene where it is just standing on a rooftop) we can see the entity does not always walk at the victim. To me, this changes it from a mindless curse to a malicious being. It seems to understand the concepts of fear, intimidation, and terror. It is also able to move with enough force to throw an attacker off by several feet, punch a hole in a door, or pounce, so it can likely move its legs fast too if it wished. I can't help but feel the walk is a choice. It wants its victims to live in paranoia and fear before eventually falling prey.

Honestly, the solution _is_ to sleep with someone that’s regularly being paid for sex. Even if her victim dies, she’ll sleep with someone else before she sees the entity. If this fails, then you didn't find the right one

The worst thing about this thing is how often it’s been passed. if it is a curse, there has to be a condition to end it other than just everyone dying. But so many people have been chained through any origin of its conception is entirely lost and as such finding the counter curse is impossible.

No kidding. I would of taken the time to do some research on this curse. The curse is unique compared to common ones and you already know it's linked through sex, a spirit follows you, cannot be killed or stop, and changes appearances. You're bound to find something on it. If not, some people on the internet will have ideas on how to stop it. You got people who read and study this stuff religiously.

Well, here might be a loop hole. What if you sleep with the person that got you cursed a second time. The entity is transfered by one night stands, so if you don’t make it a one night stand, and instead a full sexual relationship, wouldn’t that nullify the curse?
It could be that its a never ending one. Many Humans die daily to different causes. One more wont even be noticed.
This curse could potentially be going since ancient times.
As a nerd, I can say I would 100% survive this for obvious reasons.

@@vexyn3941 I don't think you realize but most nerds are invisible to "super hot girls". The one with curse would most likely target people who are easier to sleep with and who have a lot of sex, like prostitutes or party freaks. Although not typical, I'm kind of a nerd myself and if some random chick came up to me with an intention to fuck me, I'd be skeptical af. Also, you have to be outgoing for the person with curse to even notice you, and even if for some reason they choose you, you're like the worst target they can go for, cause you might have guessed it but nerds don't fuck a lot, so they'll just die and get the curse back.

You can tell if the creeper is near since it makes a hissing sound this is useful to know where it is so try to get really far from it creepers are kinda slow so you would be safe but if it’s electrical creeper you are done for

The Creeper usually takes it's time to instant kill her, she has a second or two to give it a few smacks with a iron wood axe, step back before it kills her and strike and step back again. Rinse and repeat and that Creeper be poopin gun powder.
I'm with Film Theory on this one. It only walks so using math to avoid it wouldn't be that bad.
Would probably backfire, though. Walking speed is different for different people and the creature is actually smart so it could exploit this.

simply just contain it this gets rid of the fear of dying and i would pour resin on this snail trapping it for a long time

Step 1: Get spray paint, bed sheets, paintballs and other means of dying the entity.
Step 2: Locate the nearest HIGH SECURITY military base, for example Area 51 or an Airforce base with no Civilian entry.
Step 3: Make the entity visible in front of the guards when it approaches after having explained the situation to them calmly.
Step 4: Congratulations, this thing is basically guaranteed to be dissected on a table by the end of the week.
I think this is the best answer. The fact that the entity can be made visible to others and it can interact with others, is its biggest weakness.
You overestimate the government, it will take at least 3-5 business years for them to even get a contractor to do the disection

@@Jerry_F Yeah right, they're more likely to bid for the lowest price and accept the worst contractor, after they fail to harness the powers from the entity and lose control over the base due to promiscuous soldiers and other factors, there would be mention of a chemical explosion near a military base that caused the area to become uninhabitable. You'd not hear much about it ever again.

Best plan I've heard about is to contact someone with the military. Prove the entity exists and then let the military trap it to keep it in a crazy deep military experiment hole so they can develop stealth tech as it's a physical yet invisible creature
The military would most likely use you as part of the experiments, or at the very least you would be kept secret under government protection simply for knowing about the entity.
I love this channel. So far I've learned how to beat a giant megalodon, how to beat people who have creepy smiles, how to beat a crocodile if I'm ever trapped in a drained out swimming pool, how to beat two albino children and how to beat a cocaine fueled bear. 👍

Honestly I would learn how to fly a helicopter and live on an island completely isolated from any roads, towns or cities. Assuming it can only walk directly from it's location to yours? It cannot possibly get to you without an ability to swim or teleport. Which I'm pretty certain it can't do either of those things. It wouldn't get into the swimming pool voluntarily. As long as you have enough distance, food and fuel for the helicopter you can travel anywhere you need to be relatively easily. You could even mark specific landing areas where you know it would take a ridiculous amount of time for the entity to walk. So you can restock on supplies.

She's now the main suspect in Greg's death since she was probably seen going in after neighbors heard the glass break. Then her DNA is at the scene of Greg's death.
Although she didnt touch Greg so no link there, motive and what was used to finish him off and unusual if he turned grey for real. Does seem funny there is no time showing the follow up to that though.
Greg's death was quite brutal. The cops might not suspect the slim, relatively weak young girl. She wouldn't have been able to kill Greg in that way. He weighed more than she does and could have easily pinned her down and prevented the murder.
A little quote from IT applies here "All things must abide by the laws of the form they inhabit". This thing chooses human forms to pursue its victims, which (while bullets can't kill it) means that its strength can't be that far above an average human's. Testing it's limitations in terms of how strong it actually is would be a very useful piece of information. Your idea of encasing it in concrete is great, but let's take it further by exposing it to extreme conditions. Take a trip to Death Valley and see how it responds to the extreme heat. If we can, pop on the fastest boat to Antarctica and drag it through the extreme cold as well as the constant chance of taking a dunk in sub-zero waters. From what we can see, the entity can swim, but how well? Does it move slower in water, similar to how humans do?

Better method is to trap it in a escape pod and launch that sucker to the deepest void of space with the pod set to detonate in like 5 min or something so the entity would not only be alone in the void but in the vacuum itself.
How can you trap it though if it can just shapeshift into someone else
It might even get irritated enough that it just gives up on pursuing you.
I think I would have also tried to trap the entity and have it sealed in a very deep hole filled with concrete. But I would not stop there. My goal would be to stop this thing for good, so I would take a life of abstinence and do what I can to live as long as possible. This way everyone who would have been hunted by the entity will die off, and the entity will hopefully disappear or just become dormant.

Yeah, another thing I thought was trying to freeze it wit liquid nitrogen, but then I obviously realised those kids couldn't possible get their hands on it, and getting a place where to keep it cold afterwards would be a pain.
This thing is smart and inhumanly strong, but only a bit above human possibility. Getting it trapped in concrete would probably be overkill, you could probably throw it in a hole and cover the top with something big and heavy and that would be enough.

The ending is different. They do know that it follows them while they're walking. They don't give it to other people and keep it on purpose so they can controll it. They just sacrifice themselves and have to run away from it for their lives. And the ending also expresses that they will be together and will not have sex with any other person.
It is a great powerful ending.

Not on that scene actually, as Hugh freaks out when it gets close, but all of them are seing that woman.
Tho it is true that there are lots of ambiguous scenes where you don't know if it's a random person or the creeper walking in the distance.

Arguably, they don't know if the entity follows EVERYONE the person sleeps with or just the next person they sleep with after being targeted... So, a 'professional', or sleeping with a great many people, might not work out too well. The only way to know for sure is to have the main character sleep with multiple people and find out if they ALL passed away after or just the first one she bedded while being a target.

Dont pas it on, because if he/she dies it will just come back for u.
But since the "thing" cant go trough walls, you can try to lure it in to a vault that nobody will ever open again. Or if you can lure it in to a box with thick metal walls and lock it up for good. Then bury the box in concrete.
I don't think that the "thing" can teleport.
Then live happely for the rest of your life. You could perhaps pass it to a person who knows about it so you have to people that can stand guard if the containment should breach somehow 😉
Another good idea is to shoot a GPS tracking dart at the creatur. Now you know where it is all the time 😉

Another but evil way is to pass it on to a bad person and throw him on to that vault, and as the thing goes after him. You close the door and trap them both 😈.

People misunderstand this movie as being a metaphor for STDs or SA. It's actually about existential dread and mortality. Sex is one of the main things we use to distract ourselves from the inevitable, along with relationships and romance, but it still comes for us. It takes the form of Jaye's dead father and grandfather. Greg's mom seems to be fine, but like a death of a parent out of nowhere it gets him, and leads to his own death. Then all the objects they throw into the pool--appliances--are things we use to distract ourselves as well. Objects of mundanity like an iron. Entertainment like a TV. About the only thing that can help us against it are those we love, but... it can still get them, and in the end, it will always come for us too. There is no escape.

I honestly don't think anyone in the movie making district would make a horror movie based on something associated with std's. That'd just be unsettling ash, and it would practically be like making fun of the concept, which is nowhere near funny, because some can actually kill you. But this explanation you've said makes more sense, and actually calmed me.

Every once in a while I think about this movie and possible solutions. To me it feels the creature will teleport to a certain distance of the victim and then follow the laws of physics. It doesnt look like it can be killed even if it bleeds. What I would try to do is to prove its existence to the world. Shouldn't be too hard as it interacts with stuff and other people. Once it spread to the news I supose priests, etc could try out some rituals to help out and see how it reacts.

Flying seems like a great idea, until you think about how airports/flying works. It's a big threat that the entity catches up before your plane takes off and gets right on the plane with you, where you won't be able to escape.

I can imagine the TSA agent still giving your dead bloodied body a pat down after you’ve been brutally killed invisibly. “Okay Sir you’re clear.”
In the first scene, the girl runs in a loop, waiting for the creature to start walking towards her, and then she runs into the house and back. This would imply that the creature has to walk in your footsteps, and if you walk a loop, it also has to walk that same loop. If that's the case, you could just walk/drive to the airport making lots of unnecessary twists and turns. By the time the creature has made the same twists and turns, you're already on the plane. Since it can't pass through matter without breaking stuff, it can no longer enter the plane once the doors are closed. You can't just break plane windows. The only option is to board the next plane. The creature is then dependent on plane routes, weather conditions etc. and if you take a very long flight, you'd be OK for at least a few days.
I'm not sure if someone has already suggested this but I'ma still say it. We saw the entity needing to break the window to enter Jay's house and the other guy's house. So it can't just teleport. What if Jay lives in a boat? She'll be harder for the entity to reach and she can always just move to another place using the boat. Sure it wont end the curse but it still kinda works 🤷♀️
Knowing this is a supernatural entity it probably can find a way to swim or get to the boat

There's not much detail about what triggers the transference of the curse. I think it's worth a shot just whipping it out and slapping the entity with your bits so the entity itself gets cursed and ends itself.

It doesnt make sense to assume you can pass the curse onto multiple partners. Otherwise everyone up the chain would be constantly spreading it around and the being wouldnt have time to kill anyone seeing as it'd be constantly changing directions to go towards whichever person anyone up the chain slept with last.
It only makes sense to assume an infected person can only pass it on once, until the person they pass it on to dies, and then it comes back to them, and then back up the chain one person at a time.
This was one of the spookiest movies I had seen in a long time. It plays up on peoples paranoias very well

The easiest solution is the most obvious; Sleep with as many as people as possible and inform the person that you've slept with after the fact telling them to sleep with as many people as possible.
The end result here isn't to avoid getting killed, it's to make everyone aware of it.
There is a rule of something like knowing 7 people means you can communicate with anyone in the world.
If you follow that logic the sleeping tracks similarly.
As a result everyone can now see the entity and the governments would collectively be responsible for their own sake to take it out in some way or another like luring it onto a space ship aimed at the sun.
People are far more cooperative once their asses are on the line.
The main question i have is: What happens it reaches sum zero?
Let's assume that it kills all of its targets and anyone that had the curse is dead, then doesnt it just die out?
Following that logic, once you're aware of the problem but not cursed your best course of action is allowing your friend to be killed and anyone before them so that the curse can die out and you can sleep with whoever you like without repercussions.

saw another comment where they theorized the curse started to get revenge on an adulterer AND their affair partner, which would require the entity to jump between targets, guess it didn't go the way the caster planned
Who ever slept with the entity first is cursed so that person has to sleep with a person and so on.... remember the entity changes as a person

Although the question here is how to beat it, I like the interpretation of the entity as fear of something that can't be overcome (say, fear of death). And from this point of view, the last scene of the movie doesn't depict the couple cluelessly walking down the street but rather them having accepted that the entity will keep following them after all those episodes of denial -> fighting back (-> reconciliation)

If a capture plan does not work, then get as much money as you can and go to any place that has 'adult' tourism. Though it may be draining, the amount of area the entity would have to cover in order to keep up with the changing targets would be beyond insane. Hell, if you do this in several countries it would only take a couple of weeks to keep this thing off you permanently.

The plan regarding Jay sleeping with other people in Australia should’ve been the plan for her group. It would’ve been awkward and changed their group dynamic forever, but at least everyone would’ve been able to see the entity and then they would know if only one spawns to go after the last person, or if multiple versions of it can come after them. Would’ve been a lot better than their grand plan of trying to electrocute it by using their friend as bait.
So, what does the entity look like, if it’s a blind person, who has the curse?

Don’t know why anyone hasn’t suggested this but the only way to survive this thing would be to live on an airbase for the rest of your life with no way on it other than by aircraft. It can’t fly so it would be impossible to reach you

16:00 The only thing i disagree with, is spreading the curse through the entire world to an X amount of people, Because unless its infinite, You just lost your only protection, and that is knowledge.
Each of the people the curse is spreading to doesn't know about the curse, meaning the moment the entity is there, they are dead. So you are relaying on Travel time.
That means that some X amount of time later. it will come back to you. But now you don't know it. You might have even forgot about it if its been years.
You wouldn't have a reason to question every person walking. or who you are walking to towards. You have lost sight of an entity that will EVENTUALLY come back to you. But on the second time around your insight into the curse is the exact same as everyone else's. You don't know anything about it at all anymore. who, when, where, how.
The only work around I see is always checking to see if the first person you slept with died. But that still doesn't mean they died from the entity and you could be running for no reason. In-fact keeping names or connections with people in the chain wouldn't work at all because if any of them die naturally, that you haven't been talking to, then the entity skips it. and you think the entity has 2,3 or 4 people left to go through, when in-fact it's only 1. Added on that, You wouldn't actually know if the person you were talking to got killed by the entity or by an actual cause. Because again, no one in this chain even knows its happening, again forcing you to feel chased when no-one is actually after you. I don't think throwing away the knowledge and information you have on the entity to a life sacrificing gamble is worth it at the end.
That’s why you prep have better plans in place research the best ways to have it be seen higher power weapons have a butch of people ready to restrain it after it’s shot with a elephant gun or a fifty cal then have them throw it though a wood chipper or industrial meat grinder or both see how well it reforms

There is no real way to kill the creeper so the only option we've got is to trap it somehow, now the trap you mentioned would work well enough in my opinion and it would keep the creeper trapped for the most of my life and even if it escapes I will simply redo it or even better after we cover it in concrete we cover the entire concrete block in something hydrophobic and throw that entire thing deep into the ocean, this would give us even more time and the reason for the hydrophobic material is so that the water doesn't weather the concrete block down.

I don't remember where I saw it, but some other video recommended luring it into a police station and throwing a sheet over it to prove it's real, then luring it into a cell with 2 exits and having the police lock it in there after you leave.

First of all, I really enjoyed your 'instructional guide' on how to deal with a supernatural homicidal shapeshifter. A few things, though...
- packing the first floor of her house is probably not the way to go. It'll impede her when she eventually flees, at the very least block some of her exits.
- as was illustrated by It, in the form of a naked man on her roof that she saw as they drove away, this thing is smart, as Jeff warned her when he explained what It is. It either climbed a tree or used a ladder to get up to her roof + I'm assuming would've gotten in one of the 2nd floor windows by breaking it.
- re using furniture to block Its advancing, don't forget that this thing has supernatural strength. It would most likely take that furniture/debris + hurl it at her, incapacitating or killing her, as it attempted at the pool.
Jay + co need to do research re the parameters of this thing's abilities + limitations. For example, can It travel through deep water? If not, then living on a boat might be the safest thing to do. As long as it can't swim/walk distances in deep water - which would prevent it from climbing up into her boat - she would be safe. Miserable + alone, but safe. Another thing I pondered: if she has sex with multiple partners, would they all automatically be in line to inherit this curse or does she have to wait for the current 'carrier' to die to re-pass it? If not, she could sleep with a long line of partners as a cushion to keep the curse from getting back to her.
There's one problem: Jay + her friends are good people. How many lives lost is too many? I think we already know the answer is one, that Greg's death is tormenting her (I mean omg the last thing he experienced before he died was his 'mom' doing that to him, uuugh) + will forever. Maybe it saves her but what kind of life would she have? Knowing that she aided in perpetuating this, that countless more will die - on top of that, an exponential number will suffer at the loss of their loved ones - is something none of them could handle; it would basically turn them into serial killers.
So the solution is that there is no solution. One thing, though: you mentioned putting powder on the ground so that everyone could its tracks. In theory, I get what you're saying but again, this thing is clever + might suss that plan. But what if, once they suss where it's standing, they covered it with paint? We know It has physical form. If that's the case, paint should make it fully visible to anyone, though for how long is uncertain.
In some ways I wish there had been a sequel to explore some of these areas but then again, sequels rarely live up to the original + I love that this perfect, nihilistic horror film exists on its own.
