There is a recent live bootleg from Meow Wolf this year in which you can hear the sample clear as day. It is totally the same sample, really good ear on your part. Also cool to think this band is using the same sample nearly 18 years later.
@@siuoleirtep i absolutely love the through-line of how the group uses different versions of samples from the same source in different iterations in different songs. other examples are the king tubby sample first appearing in a live version of scheherazade and then becoming the intro to mercury man, or how they used a smaller chop of the same sample panda used in song for ariel vs the final version of guys eyes, or the tornados song that is sampled in both what i do and bros. could talk about this shit for hours i love these guys so much
