Before I saw this video I rang up Vauxhall asking how to turn this warning off and was told by them I would have to bring it in and it would cost me around £50 to turn it off. I told them not to bother, found this vid and sorted it in 60 seconds. Cheers!

When my 18 plate went in for its last service the guy said he couldn't reset the service light because the van had gone too far past its last oil change and it would be illegal to clear the memory. It would have to be done by the dealer. Personally I cannot see how this is true, it must always be resetable and in my mind that's the biggest load of nonsense I've ever heard. I will try this thank you 😊
That is not true at all illegal to rest a service light is completely wrong you can rest a service light even without changing the oil the only person that looses out is you as regular maintenance save premature engine damage saving you lots of money as long as the van has been serviced then rest the light

New sub me and my mate just serviced my Renault traffic van,and your helped me reset the service display! Can you explain mate the van needs a service every 25,000 miles,so did my service light come on early,as van bought from new only done 13,500 miles. Keep up the videos.
You have three buttons on your dash you want the right hand button with the spanner on it press and hold that down then switch the ignition on you will get a count down from 10 on your dash wait till it hits 0 release button then service light is reset
i used this video to reset the service intervals two years ago and it worked fine, but this time it doesnt work. I do exactly the same as two years ago. After the flashing stops it stays at zero KM and the spanner light stays on with service required. any idees??
SingleTrack66 does your van have a speed limit function as you might find that in the menu on the dash it has a speed limit or speed warning function that you will need to find and disable if you reply back to this comment with make model year and exact specification of your vehicle ie special edition bi turbo with all the extras than I can try help you get to the bottom of your problem
W J Auto's LTD thanks man. It’s 2016 bi turbo. I think it’s like a speed warning. It doesn’t restrict the speed. And it doesn’t stop until you drop back to 72 mph. Thing is, it says 73 on the speedo but sat bar says I’m under 70 and it’s just so annoying. 😬
SingleTrack66 go in to the menu you should find what you need here assuming you have sat navigation Navigation>Sounds and warnings>Advanced>Speed alert sound
19 71 so you are telling me just because you held a button on your dash that your van is using more fuel some how I find that very hard to believe as I have done this loads of times and never had a problem you will find that you have something wrong with you vehicle if you are using more fuel and also £120 for a service light rest you seriously need to find a new mechanic as I would not charge more than £50 for a plug-in diagnostics especially if all I am doing is resetting the service light
W J Auto's Totally agree , the service indicator light is a countdown in Miles (or Kms for me ) only , a reminder indicator , and has no connection with any other vehicle system, you could just leave it flashing away if you wanted, so long as the service was done,,,except it annoying. There is however, on mine , and ECO button on the dash, this does have an effect on the fuel usage, better with it on , but , the van is more powerful with it off ... so there’s a trade off there, mine is on the dash in front of the gearstick
@@patereekoelectrik842 after doing this as in my first comment, the engine blew up, you better off not looking at videos on RUclips but take it to Halfords Garage they know exactly what to do there, don't touch that eco button when I did that I had a flat tire,....

Did you try it on 'service intervals' and not 'service required' display. I made that mistake and wondered why it wasn't working at first.
I did this and now I'm using more fuel, so I took it to local garage and he did it on his laptop, £120 ill probably save that in fuel,
