Thank you @Liveration for taking the time to tell our story, it was an amazing day and experience, hope to catch up with you both sometime soon. Love the video… ☯️
You guys have given me faith. I’ve been living in my van for 6 months ( with the luxury of my sisters garage which I converted into a basic living space as back up and storage) ) after 30 yrs with “the one” life suddenly came to a fork in the road and I lost her, my bungalow and what I thought was my life. 6 moths later I’m healing…Im Happy being me, but always wondered if there was anyone out there who had the same outlook, experiences as me. I partly thought this is how I will live, without anyone, and don’t get me wrong if I coiled off this planet tomorrow, I’m content and happy, but knowing out there, in this vast world, I could find companionship with likeminded souls and meet amazing people like yourselves….its humbling and hopeful. This is why liveration is thee best channel out there. You meet people like us….its thee most relatable thing on social media. I thank you for this, I really do.
If you didn't have your sister's place, what would you do? How would you solve that? Do you also get your postal mail at her address and use the address for HMRC, NHS, bank account etc?
@@I-cannot-make-it-prettier hi Angie I honestly don’t know! I’m still learning! At the time I thought I knew what I was doing, but then like you say, parcels, NHS and even a legal address for insurance etc…having my sister bailing me out blessed me with being about to take step at a time. For starters I wanted a smaller van as she was always going to be my daily driver, and parking, tiny Norfolk roads lends itself to something like a vw (which I have) so storage was always on the cards. I just would have rented a space. I foresee a future where I gradually become fully self sufficient, but in the chaos of life changing so rapidly and sudden, my sister really became a savour. Because of her, I was about to tread gradually instead of stamping, breaking the habits and lifestyle of 54 yrs of living a certain way. The future has definitely become more interesting. And I hope as long as my health and new found optimism prevails, that I can perfect this life as best as I can.
It's so lovely to see many mid-life people doing the cut and figure out life is to precious to waste and it is not too late to start new. Witchy wishes to Billy and Steve and thank you for spreading good news!
Love it. Love their attitude and positivity. I totally get it. We've all been conditioned to think we need stuff, when in truth we really don't need much at all. I now only work part time for myself and earn very little, but i can survive quite easily and i still pay a mortgage. In the past i've been crap with money and squandered it on nonsense. Biggest regret, not getting rid of my only debt and moving out into more of an open natural space. I wish this couple all the luck in the world ❤️
Good for you two, great that you’ve found your freedom. Fully agree about the no overnight parking bollocks. It should just be a massive fine for littering or proper anti social behaviour and let the good people live a good life
nice video ,have been subscribed for a while . wish you both the very best . we are both retired but i spent most of my working life working 7 days a week , the company expected it . i was an h g v mechanic . looking back the thing i regret most is doing so many hours . now 75 and my wife nearly 73 , the state of the country with all the things happening and the cost of everything going up ,you have made a good decision .
Half of the van life appeal is because society is broken.. I totally get it and I totally agree, I'm not ready for vanlife yet (extremely tall, overweight meaning vans are not comfortable or safe) but I'm getting desperately unhappy with being forced to life like this to pay for someone else.. If its not vanlife it'll be something else, it's unacceptable but you can't influence politics so 🤷♀️

Many of the people you see doing these van lifes still have their property (either renting it out or just gaining value sitting there or sold up and have a massive pot of savings invested ) or have a partner with a house thats in the background.. in an emergency if they fancy a few days a week in a house with heating and a nice bed.. not many have gone for it 100%.. you guys may be the only ones I have seen so far that dont have anything to fall back on.
