    I love these markers I’ve seen them on TikTok from my favorite calligraphy artist on TikTok. I’m on my second pack. I work at a mental hospital and I write birthday cards, see you soon, and hope you feel better cards. My patients love the markers and are very impressed.

    My ears perked up at the mention of the bullet nib version, I have been on the lookout for felts similar to the Pitt pen 1.5 mm black pen, to find something that writes bolder for ease of reading would be amazing. I'm an artist who's losing their sight, am going down swinging to get every last drop of ability to create with what I have left.

      I got the brush ones at Walmart. My sister got the bullet tip. One difference is that the brush ones say you should shake them, the bullet tip doesn't. I shake a whole handful at a time.
      I use mine to do art. I like the way they cover (opaque) & I prefer the fine brush tip for drawing & "painting". If you don't wait for them to dry all the way, you can kind of mix the colors. They don't mix if you wait for the first one to dry.
      My sister does more designs & patterns with the bullet tip without being too realistic/artsy - things that don't require a fine point.

    One thing I’ve seen other testers do is layer color to be more vivid. Like on the BEAUTIFY... It may have provided even more contrast to go over the letters one more time.

    Being that this is the first marker of this type for Sharpie, and depending on how well they are liked, will determine whether they offer more colors. It's only a matter of time, in my opinion. And considering they are not just for lettering, the demand will be more.

  • @KatieReadsKoziesAndMore

    I tried the Sharpie brush tips on a cheap journal I own to see if their guarantee of “no bleed through” is true. This particular journal bleeds through when I use my Clean Dot markers…saturated colors bleed through. But the sharpie brush tips did not bleed through. Not even the black paint! This means I can spend less on journals for “play time”.

    Sharpie stained is a felt nib similarly to the tombow fudenosuke caligraphy brush pens or the Pentel brush sign pen. Sharpie creative pens are closer to tombow dual brush pens or sakura pigma brush pens. I do love the new creative pens though for the acrylic ink in them. Very opaque like posca but slightly more soft so it doesn't just absolutely eat every type of paper you use it on. I just wish the colors weren't so limited.

    • @EnsignInsights
      @EnsignInsights  9 месяцев назад

      Yes! I agree with that comparison of brush tips. They're so great for paint pens brush pens though. Sharpie has a lot of colors in all their other pens so I hope they add more for these too!

    Have you tried the Arrtx Brush Tip Paint Marker, in the sense of firmness of the brush tip and opaqueness of paint?

    • @EnsignInsights
      @EnsignInsights  9 месяцев назад

      Ok I have tried a few generic ones from amazon. I think that was one of the brands. And I didn't like the brush tip, it seemed even softer. But I might be remembering wrong! It could have been a different brand. I didn't keep them because I didn't like them. But I will be keeping the Sharpies and Karins!

  • @kassaArt

    I have the Karin decobrush markers. They are not opaque as described and they dry out while using them.. are the sharpie the same paint?

    • @EnsignInsights
      @EnsignInsights  9 месяцев назад +1

      Good question! I don't know if they are the same paint. They are both acrylic. If you look closely at my comparison of the two, you can see that the sharpie is a little more opaque. I simply thought that was due to using a brand new pen and a pen that's a couple years old and has been used a lot. So I don't know! I think I'd have to try both brand new to get a perfect comparison.
