- I'm not gonna sugar coat it, I'm shit at this weapon. after 50 or 60 hours of runs, this is the fifth one i was able to finish. all of them went past 8 minutes so this one was a shock to me. the run is still not good. don't even get me started on 3:54 - 4:10. so many runs destroyed by him doing nothing but swipes, charges, triple claw slams and bozo frenzy cones for 20 to 30 seconds straight. Shargaru shows no mercy even to moves your even able to punish as he can just take more a third of your health away by doing a small hit or fucking up all your positioning by doing a move you wanna actually punish after you already let off an SAED. This is by far my hardest weapon matchup i've done in a long time. so many things can go wrong and i respect anyone who decided to speedrun this at the highest level with this weapon. that's enough coping for today. thanks to anyone who got to join the streams! have a good night

thank you nix! and yeah, it definitely is. dumbass sits there and does 7 small nonpunishable moves until finally he does something. i wish the run was still a little cleaner, but im not doing this matchup again. ill take what i can get 🤣 you're the GOAT for the CB guides and runs. seriously keep up the work man.

Gonna be studying how you position against this bastard of a monster based on what i see here! I feel CB demands more careful gameplay in rise than perhaps in world and sometimes even GU.

XD the positioning on the fight isn't the worst but it'll take a bit of time to get use to. you're probably gonna have more issues with the chip he does. he also just does stupid shit you really can't punish. CB in world and rise are honestly much more fun since you don't have to play SAED since it's not as good for most matchups. plus savage axe in world be nice. hope you're doing okay with life btw!
@@Pragles agreed. SAED feels really weird vs fast or high uptime monsters, I liked how CB felt in world where you had good reason to use either savage axe, AED or SAED for most monsters. Like an actual Swiss army knife! Tbh if they brought back the savage axe as a mainstay functionality Is be happy! I miss that guard point as well ;-;. I'm gonna stick to my weird ass sword and shield only CB "ROYAL GUARD" build
I'm glad I'm not the only one getting their life eroded by the monster chip damage Xd. Engaging in endgame for mhw and mhrise made me appreciate putting on some sort of sustain skills on my armour.

I have a question though,
I'm really curious about the TA rules since I've been seeing it a lot on your videos. What's the reason that you prefer doing TA rules over freestyle? I'm curious about your answer
I'm glad you got interested in the weapon. hopefully you're enjoying it. and TA wiki is just a very stripped down speedrun category compared to freestyle. freestyle allows you to use whatever the game offers to get the fastest time. TA doesn't allow for things like augments (unless you just want to), dogs, adrenaline/heroics, and most endemic life. pretty much it's just you and the monster. hope that cleared some things up
