It is more than that, to imitate the original artist emulates throat and mouth shape to create the closest thing to the original sound, brilliant singer who is a natural vocalist.
She's so brilliant at morphing into the voice style of original artists that you're not quite sure what her natural voice is UNLESS she does songs from male original artists. And she has a few videos of the latter.
I have a feeling Annalise and the band could cover every song ever nominated or chosen for a Grammy and make that song sound better. You all are amazing!

And don't expect Annalise and the boys to remain together as a band, studio will decide what the sound will be behind Annalise's voice, to them the boys are mere studio musicians, useful only if inexpensive.
