  • For more efficient storage in our new Montana Keystone 5th wheel, I decided to purchase and install a 90" x 42" MORryde slide tray. Come see how it turned out!

Great video Pete. I installed this same cargo tray in our Keystone Cougar a couple of years ago and I initially thought I would lose a lot of cargo space by installing it but honestly, I didn't lose hardly any space. I had to also install spacers to clear the bottom of the door but I ended up using strips of plywood cut the length of the frame on both sides and covered it with that grey needle punch carpeting very similar to what Keystone used on the floor and walls of the basement so it all matches. I like the cable loop setup you did as well. Maybe MORryde should build something like this into their future cargo trays for convenience. Thanks for sharing and safe travels.

I really like your idea on covering your full length plywood strips with carpet. Great detail look.
The trays are well worth the investment. And Im sure Morryde could come up with a more polished idea for the cable. But my little redneck cable works pretty darn good!.
      Thanks for sharing!

Love the new tray. Do you have the need for one in your new trailer?

Very nice set up. Especially the loop pull very convenient. Considering if I want to spend the money or not. I love camping gadgets. Are u satisfied with the tray overall?? Thanks

Im sorry for the late reply. RUclips doesnt always show me all my comments.
Other than tires, this is the most expensive upgrade I could have done to the trailer. And Im so glad I did. It is so convenient to access all our gear. And raising it 1-1/2" was a no brainer. Gives me a bunch of extra storage. Well worth the investment!!

We had to make an educated guess on the thickness as well, All we could get from the factory reel was “maybe less than 1/2. We went with that as to the tanks are installed on an angle and but the floor on the end. Just fyi for everyone. It’s truly a shame we cannot have this info when we purchase.

You definitely dont want your screws too long!!!
I absolutely love the slide tray. One of the best features of the trailer. What size did you get??
