    LGE and Tun M is made from the same steel of sincerity, honesty, truthfulness and bravery. That is the formula of ensuring good economics and management. The rest are just resources, that if not managed by that quality of steel would totally diminish any possible benefits of the resources, our country resources. I think the new economy of our country or even the world is no longer about money per se, it’s about quality of people in the economy.

      ars Thank You, it has been for quite a time that i have not felt real joy and peace about the state of our country, now i feel that there’s hope for betterment. If I can’t really contribute directly to our country, at least i hope i can share my positive opinions, feelings and prayers for the country. It doesn’t take much for us to be happy and make others happy too. Our country is our home and family.

      Please don't kid yourself. We are here today partly because of Mahathir too. He was the first PM cum Finance Minister. Najib only displayed the true severity of such lack of segregation of duties. Please wake up to the truth. Being in denial won't help.

      Michael Wong as a Malay myself, I see LGE had high credibility on his leadership. However, making him a Deputy Prime Minister will call unrest among Malays that still cling to the past. I'm afraid it will cause political unrest and civil war just like in 1969. Malays unfortunately, not very open minded people (note that religion did not blind us, it's because of lack of education and knowledge what held us back). As a person who were more interested in the future of this country's generation, I don't mind having non-Malay as our leader as long as the leader will carry it's duty as a leader and people's right. Malays might thinking of me a traitor to them, but nothing can be done. What's past is past and we cannot undo it. Chinese, Indian, Iban, Kadazan and other races are now Malaysian. We should create a nationality that will shape our country's unique identity, for the benefit of the future of this country. If the Malays concern about their religion, we can have the kings and sultan as our protector and the law as well as the constitution.

    Lim Guan Eng is times better than any of Singapore’s ministers. His job to heal Malaysia is mammoth and but yet he is willing to undertake this task without demanding high pay in commensurate or even hinting that it is a sacrifice. So unlike those in Singapore.

    • @helenpang7777

      seetchin Yes but dont you want to see him succeed? And have no qualms about the under performing ones in Singapore who only think of all ways all the time to tax its people, squeezing every drop of blood except the very rich. Where is the wealth tax that they once talked about?

    • @haotu5586
      @haotu5586 6 лет назад +2

      Helen Pang - On what basis you say people under perform ( your reply below to seetchin ) and Mr. Lim Guan Eng is times better ? He is not even a Finance Minister for two months ! Be humble, wait a while till there are results. Talk is easy, execution will be difficult, brute force approach will be difficult in a society so deep and broad in corruption. People in some quarters are already waiting to pound on him. Willingness to undertake difficult tasks and sacrificing is highly commendable but that alone will not guarantee success. I would feel sorry for Mr. Lim if he were to be made a scapegoat later for failures. You said unlike those in Singapore ( demand high pay ), don't you think that it is actual the pay factor that is the reason behind the Malaysian politicians and civil servants' ingrained corruption ? So instead of serving the people they would spend time on how to enrich themselves.

    • @haotu5586
      @haotu5586 6 лет назад

      Helen Pang - I hope you can read Chinese. The debt is already passed the ceiling set by the parliament, it is time to bring it down to an acceptable level approved by parliamentrians in respect to our nation's money bill requirement. Whether there is any charges file against any person will depend on the investigative panel headed by AG , it is the panel sole prerogative on due process and criminal charges, they are empowered to make that decision, not the Finance Ministry.

    As quoted by Voltaire and more recently by Spiderman... "With great power comes great responsibility"! We all know what happens when a person who is bestowed with great power becomes corrupt.
    However, I am comforted by the fact that YB LGE, the PM and the PH leaders are working hard and up to the task. The new government has changed the administration style completely. Although a new broom always sweeps clean, let's hope that future administrations will adopt this open and earnest style of responsibility and administration as a fundamental principle.

Could you get the Maybank to put up a big laminated account number of Tabung Harapan pasted on the wall that can be conspicuous to the generous citizens? You all here are stuck in time and have not moved on, still talking about old issues, from your discussion points. But like LGE mentioned, this is a different government even Tun M is Tun M 2.0 that also includes other political parties in PH. Even LGE himself never even dream to be working with Tun M side by side, so he too is LGE 2.0, I suppose this Malaysian politics 2.0. So people let's just move on and look forwards and become Malaysian 2.0. Even LGE had told off to a Chinese Reporter(from China), that he does not see himself as a Chinese but rather as a Malaysian.
