    This guy has worked his ass off, too become something. It started from the bottom, and then he worked his way up for so many years, and then finally he did idol a couple of times.
    then the year came, 2017. He went for it after all the years of hard work, and did so damn well and now i can call myself a fan. I have not had many artists that i would call myself a fan of, but this guy is something special.

      It’s because he says ”work the liquor stores”, right after implying it was hard to get gigs. Working a place as a performer means performing there, sort of like the idiom ”working the room” or ”working the crowd”.

    7:13 "Well, the biggest crowd he ever got was two guys and a cash register in a liquor store".
    Well, not exactly. This theatre, The Dolby Theatre, only takes 3400 people. When he won Sweden´s Idol he was in Ericsson Globe, and arena that takes about 16 000 people. I don´t know if it was sold out, but it was probably well over 10 000 people in the audience. Check out the video "Chris Kläfford sjunger "Imagine" - Final Idol 2017 (TV4)". Pretty huge crowd.
    But you could´nt know that, of course.

    AGT sure knows how to make it seem like these are undiscovered talents making it big on their show! Check out when he performed this song on Idol Sweden. He's voice definitely has matured since his win in 2017 and the arrangement of Imagine on AGT is quite a bit more soul stirring. Amazingly talented gent!

      Winning Swedish idol doesn't really count. They get low level fame for about a year and then they disappear into the void.. so Chris going on AGT is a boost on a bigger stage.

    Seeing that there are many who bother that he won Sweden's idol a few years ago. Why?
    He is not the first, it has been many over the years that have similar backround. If one wins such or similar competitions in a small country does not have to mean automatic popularity. This competition is at a completely different level when it comes to impact, so give him and everyone else a chance and go for talent and skill.

    • @sistakastet
      @sistakastet 5 лет назад +3

      So why not have that in his back story, I think the producers made a wrong choice. Can't he say I was a nobody and then I won idol in Sweden after auditioning three times. And now I really want to get my music out to the world.

    I just hate it when people judging him because he didn't even share that he is a pro already on the audition. People need to know that when you audition AGT there's a contract and a whole team of producers controlling you and how you are going to be portrayed when the show airs. The same goes from the magician from Asia who already won the Asia's Got Talent. It bothers me that not all people know about this when it already happened so many times and the fact that people are coming here from AGT proves he hasn't been recognized *WORLDWIDE* this is a one big opportunity for him because for him joining AGT is like a stepping stone for him to show his talent to the world. Let's be honest here we will never even know about him because of AGT!

    • @ericforsyth
      @ericforsyth 5 лет назад

      It’s ambiguous, which is only to be expected as English isn’t his mother tongue. ”Didn’t get any gigs” could be more nuanced than an absolute, i.e. implying that it was difficult to find any (good ones). The confusion arises from how he says he ”worked the liquor store” as opposed to worked in a liquor store. Working a liquor store would suggest performing there.

      Interesting, never knew that liquor stores are run by the government!

    • @joannawentworth9519
      @joannawentworth9519 5 лет назад +1

      @@ReactToTheWorld It's to regulate the impact of alcohol. In the 60's (I believe), we had a problem with masses of people becoming alcoholic, as well as you ger people able to get alcohol from reglar stores, so the government put a monopoly on alcohol and spirits, and only regulated government stores are allowed to sell alcohol with an alcohol percentage of above 3.5%. Bars and restaurants not included, but we have very strict policies surrounding alcohol at such establishments. No more than 50% of the revenue can be from alcohol related purchases. The rest must come from food or other things.
      While it can be inconvenient to some, this really has statistically proven that a lot less people abuse alcohol. It by no means stops it, but if liquor is less readily avaliable, you can't just buy alcohol at the spur of the moment.

    • @patriksvensson2360
      @patriksvensson2360 5 лет назад +1

      @@joannawentworth9519 If I'm not mistaken, the idea for that kind of monopoly for purposes of keeping alcohol consumption down to avoid strains brought on by alcohol abuse came from Falun in the 1850's. Consumption was dangerously high back then and continued to be for another 75-ish years, leading to the referendum on legislation to illegalize alcohol in 1921 (which turned out to be a very close call but in the end didn't pass). Long story short, since then we, as a society, have learned from our history and tried to keep the downside of alcohol and drug abuse at bay, leading to Systembolaget (which, for those unfamiliar with the Swedish system, is the government run liquor store having monopoly on distributing anything stronger than 3,5% a.b.v.) being established in the 1950's.

    it's nice that he got on AGT, but it hurts watching American shows with their planted actors in the audience. They don't need those for Chris, he can make real people emotional

    15 people in his original "village" is an exaggeration. In the "church district" where Chris was born (Ramsberg), 205 citizens were registered in 2015. And I suppose no massive change has happened since ;-)

    • @ReactToTheWorld
      @ReactToTheWorld  5 лет назад

      We just came back from a Vegas buffet where there were about 200 there... it's still not an exaggeration to us 😂

    •  5 лет назад

      @@ReactToTheWorld So Chris's "15 people" compared to your "about 200" is comparable? Hehe! But if all of Ramsberg was in LV, wonderful. I hope you had a great time. Unfortunately there are no Michelin Stars in LV right now but I guess there are a couple superb restaurants available.

    Think he would be better doing America Voice vs AGT.

    • @ReactToTheWorld
      @ReactToTheWorld  5 лет назад +1

      Have to agree with you on this one. AGT ultimately pushes people towards a dream in a Vegas show. And Chris doesn't come across like that sort of showman. It's a vocalist, and I think he would have really stood out on The Voice as well. Great point!

    It's so funny is that is kind of true what he said about not getting bigger in music but in 2017 he won the Swedish Idol in front of thirteen thousand people så I think he has Sang in front of more than two guys

      Probably did before he won Swedish Idol 2017. This isn't the first ringer AGT uses to put some true talent in between jugglers, home made dance numbers and children with semi decent voices. What really irks me are the super fake audience reactions. When a whole audience stands up within a half a second you know there is a sign somewhere that lit up.
