    Glad the pre whipped baits worked for you Mark. Always do for me, especially fish baits as any I don’t use I just re freeze them and they just seem to get more scent each time and are still easy to thread on a hook. Another good vid mate with some great info.. 👍

    I was there in 2002 almost that exact spot where you have your beachcasters I used a six hooker with squid and ragworm and after 20 minutes caught 2 mackerel at once that was a day to remember seeing that the beach was full of other people fishing who had caught nothing all day. It's so good when you get the upper hand that way such a good feeling.

    Really enjoyed that mark. So many of these yt anglers set themselves up as gurus, but you come over as a pretty bog standard Joe angler, just like the rest of us, just doing your best, trying to avoid that blank. Makes the video way more entertaining. We are essentially arm chair fishing, and who wants to go fishing with a know it all twat, you go with your chilled out mate. Subbed!

      Nailed it Geoff, plenty of the type who actually invented fishing, discovered and documented and illustrated every known fish, freshwater and sea, and should really have patents on EVERY knot you could possibly tie. I can't even get through 5 minutes of their videos!
      Mark, as you say, is the chap who you merrily chat away to on a beach, not even realising his friendly persona is imparting valuable info that is going to improve your catch rate exponentially!

    I went a step further with my frozen baits, I tested some line and the hooks I use by leaving some in the freezer for a few days, then left them to thaw out all seemed ok and very strong, so I not only pre-rapped the frozen bait, I used my bait building needle and wrapped them onto the snood/hook as well, I clip instead of tying my snoods so I can change them easier if needs be, so rod out, reel on, clip trace on, clip 2/3 frozen snoods with baits already on the hooks, bob's your uncle.

    • @seaangling
      @seaangling  5 лет назад +1

      Danny O, that takes preparation to a whole new level and very clever. What species are you targeting with the prepared baits?

    • @dannysshorefishing2923
      @dannysshorefishing2923 5 лет назад

      Mark Williams Sea Angling, I find pre baiting makes it easier if night fishing. on the south east coasts Reculver, Folkestone, Dungeness, Dover, Deal Hastings etc there is always an outside chance of cod, mainly whiting, dog fish, eels and some Rays still about, nothing to exciting our end. Summer months are better, plenty of smooth-hounds, bass, Dover sole, plaice, and thorn backs.

    • @seaangling

      Martin, I’m a big fan of Fisho and love his channel. I do take the odd whiting when they are sizeable and after filleting them I sprinkle them with chilli flakes, cover in cling film and put in the fridge overnight. Cooked the next day in 50/50 oil&butter.

I also wanted some longevity to accurately report how good the finish was and it is early days yet but it looks promising. A couple more trips and I’ll do an in-depth review but early impressions are good. Also worth mentioning that they are matched up to 4.50m rods and this helps as they compliment each other.
