That's because there was a 3 year hiatus between arc 1 and 2. Definitely check it out though, it's AMAZING, especially since arc 2 just got over, and if we get a third arc, it'll be a while.

If Netflix is smart they’ll know the creators will try to just weasel out for more time. They fucked over Rayllum just so you would buy a comic from them. They’ll absolutely continue to hemorrhage the pacing if they can manufacture more content.
I was so depressed when they killed zubeia off in season 7 😭 she was my favourite character in the series. I hope if there is an arc 3 (i hope there is an arc 3) that azymondias has some sort of flash backs about her (like how hiccup does in httyd 3 about his dad) because if arc 3 dose happen the time jump would mean zym will be much older and possibly now knig of the dragons and it would be cool to see him struggling with this role and trying to live up to his mother’s legacy while dealing with the grief of her loss. It would be interesting to see how her wisdom and teachings continue to guide him, perhaps through the memories of her, as he navigates the challenges of being the new King of the Dragons.
I’m glad the show is continuing because we didn’t get any kind of retribution or resolution for the Startouch Elves executing Aaravos’s daughter; not only was it tragic and undeserved, but it was done with the mindset that sometimes, doing terrible things like killing people, is necessary for the greater good, a mindset that the show teaches us to be wary of time and time again, particularly with Viren. There needs to be some story arc involving them realising that they wronged Aaravos.
I’m kind of disappointed but I also feel like the series is complete, on one hand there was lots of plot holes and it seemed a little rushed. I want to see callum follow through with those 10 babies 😂 atleast a post credit scene would work.
I definitely want arc 3. They left enough cliff hangers to warrant more seasons. At worst, if they don’t do more seasons, they might novelize some of it to explain the cliff hangers
After watching the episodes for myself, I REEEEEEEEALLLLY hope Arc 3 (Seasons 8-10) will become a thing. After all, Aaravos claims he'll make a comeback

@@WitchyWiz-u8v 63 episodes a SHORT amount of time. Take One Piece, it has multiple arcs longer than this whole show. Young Sheldon, 141 episodes but also seven seasons. The creators wanted an in-depth plot, which they did with the small amount of time they had. The Sunfire plots were necessary! If we didn't have them, the whole Sol Regem's death would've been off, leading to Ezran's hate being weirder, possibly no special arrows from Duren, no Aaravos capture, etc. Basically, they had very little time and they made good use of it. They should have gave it a good ending. Not open new things up. He should have been sealed away. His partner should have have should have died she was bad for nothing. She knew her dad wasn't there but still did bad stuff. Obviously daddy issues. The king should have been dead. The queen of the dragons didn't have to die. Just a bad ending.
Season 6 episode 1 with Claudia and Terry was one of the most beautiful portrayal of love ive seen from shows. Most impactful sentimental moments are normally surrounding loss, this felt different and it hit me hard Viren's sacrifice in episode 8 was also beautifully done
OK but I neeeeeed to see WAYY more of Ethari and Runaan together pleasee!!! Other than that i really hope Nexflix will allow them to continue on for Arc 3!! super exciting. Best show out there

I thought the season was fine, until the end. That final episode was so underwhelming. I was expecting - and would have loved for - Rayla to shoot Callum to save the world, with tears in her eyes as she loses her love. Aaravos is trapped in the coin, ending his reign of terror, and it's all thanks to humans. Then Callum goes to some underworld, perhaps talks to King Harrow and his mother, before somehow being revived. The actual "resolution" with the archdragons dying just for Aaravos to return to the heavens for only another seven years is ridiculous. Nothing was truly resolved. We did not watch this show for six years to get a lackluster ending because the creators are banking on getting another three seasons. It's Netflix - they're lucky they got as many seasons as they did.
Personally I kinda hate death and revival stories unless there's some valid reason like with Aaravos... The sacrifice of the hero means nothing if they are going to be revived.
@@Alice-si8uz I typically do as well, but I think the important takeaway is that Callum and Rayla both make the sacrifice fully expecting for him to die for real. Whether or not it is permanent doesn't matter - the fact that they were both willing to do it is what counts. I think with this being a show geared at families, a permanent death would have been too heavy, maybe even for a lot of fans. The writers are creative - they could create a meaningful way to revive him or at least for there to be a somewhat happy ending.

Binged the whole show during the holiday season. It’s great but considering the name of the show it would’ve been nice to see the more of a story of an actual dragon prince in arc3 and less unfair ending for Aaravos

I actually loved the season until the last episode, which was ehhh... I'll like it more if we actually get the final 3 seasons, I did not wait years to see Aaravos not even get defeated.
I feel like you encapsulated my personal thoughts perfectly. I was so excited , and I know this may sound bad, but I was kind of hoping for Callum to sacrifice himself. I mean, I love him as a character and all, but I feel like it would have been so much more satisfying and poignant to see. I mean, they still could have used the last episode to show the aftermath and everyone trying to move on, but they instead did this stupid thing of temporarily killing hum even though Callum was more than willing to make the sacrifice. It makes no sense to let Callum live but needlessly kill off Zubeia.

If the third arc doesn’t get the nod of approval from Netflix, I just feel that the last episode was kinda a waste, yk? Like so many things would be left unsolved, especially the Aaravos coming back in 7 years thing. That’s one of the main reasons I want the third arc so badly. Not only to keep one of the best shows on Netflix running, but to get the proper ending the fan base has been waiting for. And the Callum thing! I am a Callum fan and have no hate towards the character, but I do feel like Callum sacrificing himself would give the episode that spark. Like I was ready for that but it just kinda felt like the creators dodged it and it felt unrealistic in the end.
I love the Dragon Prince, loved every season and really loved this season, but god damn does this season leave too many plotlines open. No joke, we at least need a film to wrap up the remaining storylines from Aravos returning in 7 years to Ezra's dad, Claudia, the relationship between Ezra and the Queen, and what will eventually happen to Raylum. My hope is that these were left open for a new series.
In hindsight, it was a mistake to name their show after a character that literally doesn’t speak until the last episode of their last season. This IS their last season per their contract. They can spin whatever they want but that’s the deal Netflix gave them. And like let’s be honest here, with absolutely nothing happening why would Netflix CHOOSE to give them more money? So they can meander even more?
I enjoyed this season and I want to see new aventures of Team Zym in Arc 3. This is my bucket list for Arc 3: 1. The preparations for Aaravos' return and Claudia's revenge 2. The first Pentarchy reunion with Xadia. We gonna see what happen with Del Bar, Evenere and Neolandia those years and their conflicts (possible conspiracy). 3. Search to new archdragons and guardians for the nexus. 4. Callum and Rayla will take the biggest step in their relationship: get married but they'll talk about their future and how many children they'll have but we know what the answer is 😏🤭 (10 children). 5. To be honest, I see Ezran and Aanya only as friends and not something else. Maybe Ezran meet again with Ellis and something tells me they'll be a perfect match. Besides, he needs Callum gives him "Sándwiches Talk". 6. See more Zym talking 7. Travel to Elarion's ruins and Callum connects other arcanums 8. Janai's conflicts about her nephews or nieces respect throne's succesion 9. EPIC BATTLE against Aaravos and Claudia with Team Zym 10. Guys! We gotta continue watching the show, sharing it to others and do as much as we can to keep Dragon Prince in the top 10, personally I would say I’ve enjoyed season 7 for the most part, and probably would like it more if I knew the show wasn’t just going to end that way (COUGH arc 3 COUGH)
Here’s a good few questions. Why instead of a making a satisfying conclusion for the series, you bait the fans with another cliffhanger that leaves everything way less resolved than the ending season 3 left us with? Furthermore, why exactly was Aaravos so weak when he was free? He showed off so much more competence, skill, magic, and raw power when he was possessing a guy back in season 3 for a couple minutes. Here, he’s literally depicted as a colossal Titan who can’t manage basic chains keeping him down and restrained. His greatest feat was simply cancelling and blocking out Terry’s vines and killing a bird. Somehow he otherwise couldn’t do more than trying to get Callum to eat a poisoned apple. Or just shoot dark magic beams out of his giant staff at the end of the season that miss everyone. Sure he crushed Karim in his fist, but he honestly should have been displayed crushing and smashing people left to right given his size and what should have been his incredible magical power. Instead, he relies on his own minions to rescue him, and gets his body destroyed by another. Just for him to return in 7 years? You guys have lost any good will if you think any fan will stay to see an arc taking place all those years later. For what though, to see Aaravos barely being shown as a powerful being again? Furthermore, what’s the bid deal with the Novablade? Why couldn’t the archdragons just have fashioned a new one and several swords and arrows out of their teeth? Why couldn’t they just use Sol’s teeth from his skeleton to not have to use their own? Why couldn’t Arravos do anything to battle a single dragon, let alone a tiny human holding out a coin about to enact a spell? Don’t get me started on the asinine decision with the plot twist with that bird. I won’t even ask about that. That was ridiculous.
Indeed. Just finished watching it and I feel like a bit of a fool for keeping up with this show, hoping that maybe at least this season finale (...) would recreate the magic the first three had. If not that, and we got the same unfunny jokes and unsatisfying character arcs, then at least watching Aaravos at his most powerful before being defeated for good would be engaging in and of itself. That, and some closure and explanation for what he was doing and why. But we didn't even get that. It truly boggles the mind how the team presented him as this force to be reckoned with, for years, and in the end he's just a big useless idiot. He barely did any magic at all and was more powerful as an apparition, it's bewildering! I wondered if it was a budget issue, that the sfx etc required would be too costly, but given the entire season could have been easily encapsulated in three episodes, I think not. This doesn't even get into the other problems that have plagued the show, including this season, that I briefly mentioned above, including: Claudia's motivations being completely nonsensical post-viren, as is Aaravos' sudden and unconvincing affection for her as a surrogate daughter that was never portrayed in the show beforehand; that awful bird twist you mentioned, enough said; the constant "the world isn't black-and-white, but morally grey!" being stated time and again, only for the show's creators to have an laughably black-and-white concept of morality ("unequivocal forgiveness for everything is the only answer") they hit you over the head with for the entirety of the show; the 5 jokes per minute rule is upheld, no matter how grave the situation, and they are the same quality as the rest of the jokes post-season 3; for some reason they bring up claudia and soren's mom and then just... not explain what actually happened with that plan, did they even see her??; "I will bring zombies to destroy the world order!!! Even though they're just a minor annoyance for the good guys and once I am defeated, because I am the only actual threat, they will disappear anyway. Hm. You'd think such a wise, powerful, and long-lived being would have thought of a better plan after being imprisoned so long..."; ETC! And there's so many plot holes in general that have been completely unaddressed, but Leola and Aaravos' incomplete storyline is the most frustrating one for me. Her situation in the last season was the first time in years I felt emotionally invested in any of these characters and I was left very curious about her, as much was left unsaid. Where is her mother? Does she even have a mother? How was she created? Why did she teach humans magic? Was Aaravos really innocent in this whole deal? What's up with the cube? Where are the other startouched elves? Why haven't they come after Aaravos if they care about the world order so much? Why is Aaravos' motivation revealed as him wanting to burn down the world order, when humans and elves+dragons working together would also achieve that but peacefully, which is what the protagonists were already trying to do? Anyway, I have to stop there, this is long enough. This show seemed prime to be the next ATLA, but they seemed to have stopped caring past S3 and made the 6-12 year-olds their target demo. Honestly, as much as I want this show to finally meet it's potential, the team behind the dragon prince really don't deserve an act 3. They have consistently dropped the ball and I would just like to move on at this point. I almost wonder how much of this "conclusion" was intentionally made unsatisfying by the creators in order to try and secure a better chance to get greenlit by netflix for more work on the series. Whatever the reason for this trainwreck, it's a bummer. Can't even make a cool bad guy cool in the final hour, you hate to see it.

If by the bird thing you mean the swap with king harrow. This has been a theory for years and many things hinted towards it otherwise it wouldnt have been a theory. And its not surprising at all that it ended up happening when harrow wasnt even resurected as one of those spirits of the dead. He left his children without a father, his kingdom without a king im pretty sure he wouldve been resurrected as a spirit he had a lot of unfinished business.
Totally agree that the harrow-pip body soul swap was such a terrible decision. I get that fans proposed that theory but it is the height of hypocrisy for Harrow to take such a shortcut. Especially given that he was against the whole dark magic and shortcuts proposed by Viren with the soul fangs and Harrow's letter to Callum in season 2 - Heart of a Titan. Also hearing Zym speak feels like a cheap trick to evoke nostalgia (Zuko). IMO, the humor was very untimely, both my parents are dead but who cares, now I have 2 brothers instead.
Here’s one of my ideas: when Aaravos returns everyone is expecting him to cause trouble again so they have everything prepared but then Claudia came and stopped them. Aaravos tells everyone why he’s like this and the story of his daughter. Of course everyone still doesn’t trust Aaravos completely but maybe they can find a way to talk to the other star touch elves (the council) about why they punished Leola. Maybe they can even find a way to bring her back by connecting her with her star somehow. These are just one of my ideas
For the time being, here are my mild predictions for the start of Arc 3: * The majority of season 8 will more or less be a "breather" season and would start with the completion and grand opening of Evrkynd. * Perhaps maybe Ezran will eventually fall in love with a female his age with Zym offering some wingman moments. * Seeing as how Aaravos will return in 7 years (and 19 days), the cast will focus on building their futures and the harmony with little to no worries. I'm not gonna lie, I foresee at least _one_ character having gained weight since the end of Arc 2.
I didn't think it was going to be so soon since he was on like 2 years old. But it shows that the freezing of Zym egg didn't affect his motor skills or his ability to speak.

I got some strong Loki Vibes from him as well, trickster, able to change his form, Androgynous 9:24 I personally loved Zym talking, I'm not sure if the voice actor was a good match, but I was wondering about it for a while. 12:00 When Aaravos was killed by Spector Azy, Zym's father, I felt like it was too convenient that he didn't just turn to dust on the spot, I think Zubia should have bitten Aaravos, but I digress. 19:19 I was envisioning Aaravos just eating him, though squishing him it also effective, but yeah. lol
Love the series but plz make Aaravos more of a threat as for all the warnings we got about him, he didn't feel as powerful as he should have. Would have loved seeing him do more magic etc. I will admit, i think Aaravos is beautiful and awesome so i hope whatever happens he doesn't actually die lol 😅 i want him to get justice too cuz i don't think what the star council did to his daughter was fair. I also think King Harrow should have been dead fr, gives more weight to Ezran forgiving Runaan. But overall i enjoy the series and will be happy to see more and see how it all plays out 😊

Yeah I mean I think they should possibly instead of 3 additional seasons they make a spinoff series where they can have a different rating for the level of content so that they are more free to make more of those jokes but then again this show has gotten away with a lot of stuff for the kids section (I mean I guess it is technically similar to ninjago made for kids but targeted towards mature audiences)

Okay small disclaimer i didn't watch the whole video. Okay so here is my issue with the" final season " it didn't have a good ending. Hes coming back in 7 years and the dad didn't die. As well as one of the main bad people is bad for basically no reason. Literally no motivation. Im assuming they set it up this way to maybe make a time skip season. But for an ending that sucks. Why add some many doors that are open. Imagine if ATLA ended this way. No it didn't it had a good ending and the future show picked up years later and had its own ending. No new doors was opened.
I’d rank it somewhere above or equal to season 5 for generally being more interesting and captivating. Yet it falls short of season 6 for being so anticlimactic, having missed potential, poor execution, and it bizarrely leaving the show in a more unfinished state than even when it was at in the season 3 finale. So by that logic season 4 was awful. Season 5 a minor improvement. Season 6 a major improvement. With season 7 bringing things back down more or less to a season 5 level. The problem was that while Aaravos being freed and the general plot was more compelling in season 7 then say season 5, stuff like Aaravos being weak, a bad finale, and the bird twist really bring it down. While on the flip side, season 5 had a generally boring plot, but had some amazing moments, and a peak finale that left the show in its most hyped moments since the third season ended. The writers really dropped the ball especially with Claudia’s arc after the premiere episode of season 6. By season 7 she’s somehow fine with killing everyone on the planet, killing a whole area of life and an elderly mage, and being careless and apathetic over stabbing a person she at first thought was a mere illusion. Yet this is the same Claudia who in the middle of season 6 couldn’t dare imagine harming a young adorable creature? What after her dad died in season 6 she just went to the furthest pits of evil? Yet she tells her brother by the end of the season she’s still nice? What is this arc?

It was a good season. good pace and good exploring with the number of episodes they have. People complain about Callum not having personality or individuality. I beg to disagree. He is in love (quickly but it is through an adventure and that is not so surprising if you know a bit of social psychology) and he got through the trauma of losing Rayla. His behaviour makes sense looking at Callum personality. In addition he has his own goals and priorities. I think the end of season 7 was nice for Callum. Rayla was stubborn as ever, she got her growth kinda at the beginning. More developments need to be done but it is a show doing ok and I am genuinely looking forward for more.
Aaravos is definitely one of the most hilarious villains I’ve ever seen I just love how he never lies and he always is full of surprises NGL though I honestly thought he was gonna eat Karim like he said about their grandmother “I swallowed her” but still it was hilarious
I hope there is going to be arc 3 and I think season 7 was one of the best ones yet and I hope they have kids and they get married if there is going to be arc 3 of dragon Prince
I think my disappointment is that I had made myself see a pattern of Aaravos being resolved with compassion by Rayla, after her scenes with Ram’s father and Esmere. It sounds like it might be the next arc at the very least
The things I am satisfied with: Mufasa and Sarabi reunited in the afterlife while Simba carries on their legacy on Earth (Just wished he found a Nala) Sauron finally stopped despite his so-called return. The little short-haired Saruman-ling wandering in Hell That jerkass Karim (Can’t think of a metaphorical name) finally got what he deserved.
I’m watching this as I just finished last night the Dragon prince and I’m a rising talent this is my burner account but I will post about the Dragon prince under my account if you want it I can share it. I have always loved your videos and I have so many screenshots in this show and rants to my family about it so I definitely want more! I do singing, dancing, acting, and voice acting and I’ve watch Avatar and all of legend of Korea and got the box sets. So I get some of the reused plot lines and I recognize all the VAs from it cause this show and the Avatar Franchise has been a big part of me and my sister’s life.
But they promised their fans 7 seasons to satisfying conclude the series. They asked for another 4 to properly give an arc towards Aaravos and continue the story post the original mission of bringing back the dragon prince. We even got a big fancy battle and a tease of what’s to come. Season 3 as rushed as it was, still gave a satisfying finale for the season and series despite having all the untapped potential of Aaravos never having been freed yet. They waste 4 extra seasons on mostly filler, especially in 2 mediocre seasons. With the 4th honestly just being a bad season in comparison to the 5th. Literally only the 6th season has justified the expanded seasons. The 7th is just a disappointment and an anti climax that deliberately opened more doors poorly with no satisfying closure despite the creators knowing they probably wouldn’t have gotten more seasons.
Too bad they won’t get renewed for more, which was their fault for thinking they’d get a chance especially with the mediocrity they displayed in their writing of this arc.

But king harrow is obviously the bird as acting like one when he died and might come back who knows, also getting to see the kingdom built and fully structured, maybe in the future see the mix of callum and raylas kids as said by the elf kids and talking about mixed that would be interesting
I have 1 main question The arch dragons Are they all dead minus zim or are there more either zim or zubeas age or in between? Cause then if there aren’t anymore arch dragons minus zim then when he dies all the arch dragons die with him. So are they gonna be more in arch 3 or no?

I'd say there is a lot of cross over concepts. Generational hatred and split lands, evil spirits. They definitely went deeper with the hatred and racism.
There's an even bigger one - the title of Episode 7 is "The Titan and the King", and it involves the historic retelling of how the current conflict came to be; it's giving biiiig "The Avatar and the Firelord" vibes, even down to both episodes having a twist reveal about ancestors.
I really hope they make another saga! I want to see what happens to Callum now that he’s used dark magic again and how it affects his relationship with Rayla in the future.
I don’t understand why the full story couldn’t be told in 7 seasons. Not to be mean, but they’re demanding a lot of time from their audience. I highly doubt Netflix will green light another season because you all seem selfish. Maybe a movie to wrap-up. You all had a great opportunity with the story you’re telling, but 7 seasons should have been more than enough to tell it.
Can’t wait I sure hope they add more scenes similar to Callum getting busted for wanting 10 kids and I sure hope they don’t break up again that would make things crash I’m pretty sure considering how weird it was for Arc 2 also I hope it might not be set too close to the 7 years since 7 is a lot longer than 2 for a time skip but still would probably be better than legend of Korra and their 100 year difference

More powerful than Aaravos. 7: Claudia trapped in a pearl, paying for her crimes. 8: Bring back Kk'par, Kim'dael, Ellis and Ava. 9: May Leola be brought back to life, with star magic. 10: The great star elves, giving Callum magic against Aaravos, and healing him. 11: Zym crowned king of the dragons. 12: Leola being raised by team Zym. 13: Callum discovering and opening the key to Aaravos. Secret power blooms across the continent.

I just finished watching this season. I enjoyed it but the more I thought about the more glaring issues I saw. I am annoyed as hell You, showrunners, instead of giving us fans a satisfying ending to 7 season story, are baiting us with an open ending with almost no plot points resolved! What's the damn point of investing myself in this story, when the biggest villain in the story will just respawn in 7 years, all archdragons are dead and the main heroes' power is weaker than before with archdragons' support? What the hell? Why are you naive and gambling that Netflix will give you next season? It's disrespectful to the fans. This season felt like you put your first story drafts into animation production! It is a miracle you managed to write a damn good Ezran character arc in this season.
I just finished and I AM SO DISAPPOINTED in this show if you cannot tell the story you have in the time you have do not try! What the Heck was that ending full of teasers?!! I legally watched the show but I am DONE with it no more comics or other stuff I am FINISHED even if you would get renewed you would probably waste that as well just like Greg Wiseman did with Young Justice. As much as I loved those shows you have to know how to allocate your time
I love dragon prince, but thst finale, what a load of garbage. Built up all the leola stuff, but we dont see her. Aaravos becomes a titan, but hes weaker than when he lived in a magic mirror. He should have been slaughtering people left right and centre. The creators bottled the ending, completely.
Question Callum used dark magic to imprison Aaravos but was stopped. so does that mean Callum is corrupted by dark magic again or does he still have the light in him!!
This is just my guess, but Aaravos at least made it seem like he could only inhabit Callum after the spell was cast. In the last season, dark magic was described as creating a hole of darkness in a person’s spirit. If we were going with that analogy, then perhaps having a spell partially cast doesn’t fully open the hole, it just caused some stress. Like chipping away at some ice without fully breaking through. Or scraping your knee without drawing blood. Again, this is just my guess. I think otherwise Aaravos would have simply possessed Callum.

@ pretty sure the consequences of reopening the hole are way worse. It’s been a while but from what Dark Callum said, it seems like using dark magic again will corrupt him beyond any ability to recognize right and wrong. Since that didn’t happen, I think we can assume he won’t be possessible.

I was so depressed when they killed zubeia off in season 7 😭 she was my favourite character in the series. I hope if there is an arc 3 (i hope there is an arc 3) that azymondias has some sort of flash backs about her (like how hiccup does in httyd 3 about his dad) because if arc 3 dose happen the time jump would mean zym will be much older and possibly now knig of the dragons and it would be cool to see him struggling with this role and trying to live up to his mother’s legacy while dealing with the grief of her loss. It would be interesting to see how her wisdom and teachings continue to guide him, perhaps through the memories of her, as he navigates the challenges of being the new King of the Dragons.

I’m glad the show is continuing because we didn’t get any kind of retribution or resolution for the Startouch Elves executing Aaravos’s daughter; not only was it tragic and undeserved, but it was done with the mindset that sometimes, doing terrible things like killing people, is necessary for the greater good, a mindset that the show teaches us to be wary of time and time again, particularly with Viren. There needs to be some story arc involving them realising that they wronged Aaravos.

@@WitchyWiz-u8v 63 episodes a SHORT amount of time. Take One Piece, it has multiple arcs longer than this whole show. Young Sheldon, 141 episodes but also seven seasons. The creators wanted an in-depth plot, which they did with the small amount of time they had. The Sunfire plots were necessary! If we didn't have them, the whole Sol Regem's death would've been off, leading to Ezran's hate being weirder, possibly no special arrows from Duren, no Aaravos capture, etc. Basically, they had very little time and they made good use of it. They should have gave it a good ending. Not open new things up. He should have been sealed away. His partner should have have should have died she was bad for nothing. Season 6 episode 1 with Claudia and Terry was one of the most beautiful portrayal of love ive seen from shows. Most impactful sentimental moments are normally surrounding loss, this felt different and it hit me hard

I remember asking them just a few years ago at a convention that if the Netflix cuts to the animation department would affect them and they just dismissed my question. Now here we are
I thought the season was fine, until the end. That final episode was so underwhelming. I was expecting - and would have loved for - Rayla to shoot Callum to save the world, with tears in her eyes as she loses her love. Aaravos is trapped in the coin, ending his reign of terror, and it's all thanks to humans. Then Callum goes to some underworld, perhaps talks to King Harrow and his mother, before somehow being revived. The actual "resolution" with the archdragons dying just for Aaravos to return to the heavens for only another seven years is ridiculous. Nothing was truly resolved. We did not watch this show for six years to get a lackluster ending because the creators are banking on getting another three seasons. It's Netflix - they're lucky they got as many seasons as they did.
Personally I kinda hate death and revival stories unless there's some valid reason like with Aaravos... The sacrifice of the hero means nothing if they are going to be revived.

@@Alice-si8uz I typically do as well, but I think the important takeaway is that Callum and Rayla both make the sacrifice fully expecting for him to die for real. Whether or not it is permanent doesn't matter - the fact that they were both willing to do it is what counts. I think with this being a show geared at families, a permanent death would have been too heavy, maybe even for a lot of fans. The writers are creative - they could create a meaningful way to revive him or at least for there to be a somewhat happy ending.
So your fix is to have Callum die and then immediately undo that? Come on now

I actually loved the season until the last episode, which was ehhh... I'll like it more if we actually get the final 3 seasons, I did not wait years to see Aaravos not even get defeated.
I feel like you encapsulated my personal thoughts perfectly. I was so excited , and I know this may sound bad, but I was kind of hoping for Callum to sacrifice himself. I mean, I love him as a character and all, but I feel like it would have been so much more satisfying and poignant to see. I mean, they still could have used the last episode to show the aftermath and everyone trying to move on, but they instead did this stupid thing of temporarily killing hum even though Callum was more than willing to make the sacrifice. It makes no sense to let Callum live but needlessly kill off Zubeia.

If the third arc doesn’t get the nod of approval from Netflix, I just feel that the last episode was kinda a waste, yk? Like so many things would be left unsolved, especially the Aaravos coming back in 7 years thing. That’s one of the main reasons I want the third arc so badly. Not only to keep one of the best shows on Netflix running, but to get the proper ending the fan base has been waiting for.
And the Callum thing! I am a Callum fan and have no hate towards the character, but I do feel like Callum sacrificing himself would give the episode that spark. Like I was ready for that but it just kinda felt like the creators dodged it and it felt unrealistic in the end.

Supposed it's Been Fun While It Lasted with *The Dragon Prince* from Netflix. I had a Absolute Blast watching the Show.
I love the Dragon Prince, loved every season and really loved this season, but god damn does this season leave too many plotlines open. No joke, we at least need a film to wrap up the remaining storylines from Aravos returning in 7 years to Ezra's dad, Claudia, the relationship between Ezra and the Queen, and what will eventually happen to Raylum. My hope is that these were left open for a new series.

I enjoyed this season and I want to see new aventures of Team Zym in Arc 3. This is my bucket list for Arc 3:
1. The preparations for Aaravos' return and Claudia's revenge
2. The first Pentarchy reunion with Xadia. We gonna see what happen with Del Bar, Evenere and Neolandia those years and their conflicts (possible conspiracy).
3. Search to new archdragons and guardians for the nexus.
4. Callum and Rayla will take the biggest step in their relationship: get married but they'll talk about their future and how many children they'll have but we know what the answer is 😏🤭 (10 children).
5. To be honest, I see Ezran and Aanya only as friends and not something else. Maybe Ezran meet again with Ellis and something tells me they'll be a perfect match. Besides, he needs Callum gives him "Sándwiches Talk".
6. See more Zym talking
7. Travel to Elarion's ruins and Callum connects other arcanums
8. Janai's conflicts about her nephews or nieces respect throne's succesion
9. EPIC BATTLE against Aaravos and Claudia with Team Zym
10. See Rayllum's wedding and children

Here’s a good few questions. Why instead of a making a satisfying conclusion for the series, you bait the fans with another cliffhanger that leaves everything way less resolved than the ending season 3 left us with?
Furthermore, why exactly was Aaravos so weak when he was free? He showed off so much more competence, skill, magic, and raw power when he was possessing a guy back in season 3 for a couple minutes.
Here, he’s literally depicted as a colossal Titan who can’t manage basic chains keeping him down and restrained. His greatest feat was simply cancelling and blocking out Terry’s vines and killing a bird. Somehow he otherwise couldn’t do more than trying to get Callum to eat a poisoned apple. Or just shoot dark magic beams out of his giant staff at the end of the season that miss everyone. Sure he crushed Karim in his fist, but he honestly should have been displayed crushing and smashing people left to right given his size and what should have been his incredible magical power. Instead, he relies on his own minions to rescue him, and gets his body destroyed by another. Just for him to return in 7 years? You guys have lost any good will if you think any fan will stay to see an arc taking place all those years later. For what though, to see Aaravos barely being shown as a powerful being again?
Furthermore, what’s the bid deal with the Novablade? Why couldn’t the archdragons just have fashioned a new one and several swords and arrows out of their teeth? Why couldn’t they just use Sol’s teeth from his skeleton to not have to use their own? Why couldn’t Arravos do anything to battle a single dragon, let alone a tiny human holding out a coin about to enact a spell?
Don’t get me started on the asinine decision with the plot twist with that bird. I won’t even ask about that. That was ridiculous.
Indeed. Just finished watching it and I feel like a bit of a fool for keeping up with this show, hoping that maybe at least this season finale (...) would recreate the magic the first three had. If not that, and we got the same unfunny jokes and unsatisfying character arcs, then at least watching Aaravos at his most powerful before being defeated for good would be engaging in and of itself. That, and some closure and explanation for what he was doing and why. But we didn't even get that. It truly boggles the mind how the team presented him as this force to be reckoned with, for years, and in the end he's just a big useless idiot. He barely did any magic at all and was more powerful as an apparition, it's bewildering! I wondered if it was a budget issue, that the sfx etc required would be too costly, but given the entire season could have been easily encapsulated in three episodes, I think not.
This doesn't even get into the other problems that have plagued the show, including this season, that I briefly mentioned above, including: Claudia's motivations being completely nonsensical post-viren, as is Aaravos' sudden and unconvincing affection for her as a surrogate daughter that was never portrayed in the show beforehand; that awful bird twist you mentioned, enough said; the constant "the world isn't black-and-white, but morally grey!" being stated time and again, only for the show's creators to have an laughably black-and-white concept of morality ("unequivocal forgiveness for everything is the only answer") they hit you over the head with for the entirety of the show; the 5 jokes per minute rule is upheld, no matter how grave the situation, and they are the same quality as the rest of the jokes post-season 3; for some reason they bring up claudia and soren's mom and then just... not explain what actually happened with that plan, did they even see her??; "I will bring zombies to destroy the world order!!! Even though they're just a minor annoyance for the good guys and once I am defeated, because I am the only actual threat, they will disappear anyway. Hm. You'd think such a wise, powerful, and long-lived being would have thought of a better plan after being imprisoned so long..."; ETC!
And there's so many plot holes in general that have been completely unaddressed, but Leola and Aaravos' incomplete storyline is the most frustrating one for me. Her situation in the last season was the first time in years I felt emotionally invested in any of these characters and I was left very curious about her, as much was left unsaid. Where is her mother? Does she even have a mother? How was she created? Why did she teach humans magic? Was Aaravos really innocent in this whole deal? What's up with the cube? Where are the other startouched elves? Why haven't they come after Aaravos if they care about the world order so much? Why is Aaravos' motivation revealed as him wanting to burn down the world order, when humans and elves+dragons working together would also achieve that but peacefully, which is what the protagonists were already trying to do?
Anyway, I have to stop there, this is long enough. This show seemed prime to be the next ATLA, but they seemed to have stopped caring past S3 and made the 6-12 year-olds their target demo. Honestly, as much as I want this show to finally meet it's potential, the team behind the dragon prince really don't deserve an act 3. They have consistently dropped the ball and I would just like to move on at this point. I almost wonder how much of this "conclusion" was intentionally made unsatisfying by the creators in order to try and secure a better chance to get greenlit by netflix for more work on the series. Whatever the reason for this trainwreck, it's a bummer. Can't even make a cool bad guy cool in the final hour, you hate to see it.

If by the bird thing you mean the swap with king harrow. This has been a theory for years and many things hinted towards it otherwise it wouldnt have been a theory. And its not surprising at all that it ended up happening when harrow wasnt even resurected as one of those spirits of the dead. He left his children without a father, his kingdom without a king im pretty sure he wouldve been resurrected as a spirit he had a lot of unfinished business.
Totally agree that the harrow-pip body soul swap was such a terrible decision. I get that fans proposed that theory but it is the height of hypocrisy for Harrow to take such a shortcut. Especially given that he was against the whole dark magic and shortcuts proposed by Viren with the soul fangs and Harrow's letter to Callum in season 2 - Heart of a Titan.
Also hearing Zym speak feels like a cheap trick to evoke nostalgia (Zuko). IMO, the humor was very untimely, both my parents are dead but who cares, now I have 2 brothers instead.
God I hope they get a movie or more seasons!

Here’s one of my ideas: when Aaravos returns everyone is expecting him to cause trouble again so they have everything prepared but then Claudia came and stopped them. Aaravos tells everyone why he’s like this and the story of his daughter. Of course everyone still doesn’t trust Aaravos completely but maybe they can find a way to talk to the other star touch elves (the council) about why they punished Leola. Maybe they can even find a way to bring her back by connecting her with her star somehow. These are just one of my ideas

For the time being, here are my mild predictions for the start of Arc 3:
* The majority of season 8 will more or less be a "breather" season and would start with the completion and grand opening of Evrkynd.
* Perhaps maybe Ezran will eventually fall in love with a female his age with Zym offering some wingman moments.
* Seeing as how Aaravos will return in 7 years (and 19 days), the cast will focus on building their futures and the harmony with little to no worries. I'm not gonna lie, I foresee at least _one_ character having gained weight since the end of Arc 2.
I didn't think it was going to be so soon since he was on like 2 years old. But it shows that the freezing of Zym egg didn't affect his motor skills or his ability to speak.
The news of the dragon prince of the arc three will be announced in New York comic con in 2025 that I know but at which month and date

I got some strong Loki Vibes from him as well, trickster, able to change his form, Androgynous 9:24 I personally loved Zym talking, I'm not sure if the voice actor was a good match, but I was wondering about it for a while. 12:00 When Aaravos was killed by Spector Azy, Zym's father, I felt like it was too convenient that he didn't just turn to dust on the spot, I think Zubia should have bitten Aaravos, but I digress. 19:19 I was envisioning Aaravos just eating him, though squishing him it also effective, but yeah. lol

Love the series but plz make Aaravos more of a threat as for all the warnings we got about him, he didn't feel as powerful as he should have. Would have loved seeing him do more magic etc. I will admit, i think Aaravos is beautiful and awesome so i hope whatever happens he doesn't actually die lol 😅 i want him to get justice too cuz i don't think what the star council did to his daughter was fair. I also think King Harrow should have been dead fr, gives more weight to Ezran forgiving Runaan. But overall i enjoy the series and will be happy to see more and see how it all plays out 😊

Yeah I mean I think they should possibly instead of 3 additional seasons they make a spinoff series where they can have a different rating for the level of content so that they are more free to make more of those jokes but then again this show has gotten away with a lot of stuff for the kids section (I mean I guess it is technically similar to ninjago made for kids but targeted towards mature audiences)

Okay small disclaimer i didn't watch the whole video. Okay so here is my issue with the" final season " it didn't have a good ending. Hes coming back in 7 years and the dad didn't die. As well as one of the main bad people is bad for basically no reason. Literally no motivation.
Im assuming they set it up this way to maybe make a time skip season. But for an ending that sucks. Why add some many doors that are open.
Imagine if ATLA ended this way. No it didn't it had a good ending and the future show picked up years later and had its own ending. No new doors was opened.
I hope we get Arc 3. We need the conclusion

In my Opinion this is top3 Worst Season… HONEST i hate this season…
I’d rank it somewhere above or equal to season 5 for generally being more interesting and captivating. Yet it falls short of season 6 for being so anticlimactic, having missed potential, poor execution, and it bizarrely leaving the show in a more unfinished state than even when it was at in the season 3 finale.
So by that logic season 4 was awful. Season 5 a minor improvement. Season 6 a major improvement. With season 7 bringing things back down more or less to a season 5 level.
The problem was that while Aaravos being freed and the general plot was more compelling in season 7 then say season 5, stuff like Aaravos being weak, a bad finale, and the bird twist really bring it down. While on the flip side, season 5 had a generally boring plot, but had some amazing moments, and a peak finale that left the show in its most hyped moments since the third season ended.
The writers really dropped the ball especially with Claudia’s arc after the premiere episode of season 6. By season 7 she’s somehow fine with killing everyone on the planet, killing a whole area of life and an elderly mage, and being careless and apathetic over stabbing a person she at first thought was a mere illusion. Yet this is the same Claudia who in the middle of season 6 couldn’t dare imagine harming a young adorable creature?
What after her dad died in season 6 she just went to the furthest pits of evil? Yet she tells her brother by the end of the season she’s still nice? What is this arc?

It was a good season. good pace and good exploring with the number of episodes they have. People complain about Callum not having personality or individuality. I beg to disagree. He is in love (quickly but it is through an adventure and that is not so surprising if you know a bit of social psychology) and he got through the trauma of losing Rayla. His behaviour makes sense looking at Callum personality. In addition he has his own goals and priorities. I think the end of season 7 was nice for Callum. Rayla was stubborn as ever, she got her growth kinda at the beginning. More developments need to be done but it is a show doing ok and I am genuinely looking forward for more.

Aaravos is definitely one of the most hilarious villains I’ve ever seen I just love how he never lies and he always is full of surprises NGL though I honestly thought he was gonna eat Karim like he said about their grandmother “I swallowed her” but still it was hilarious

I think my disappointment is that I had made myself see a pattern of Aaravos being resolved with compassion by Rayla, after her scenes with Ram’s father and Esmere. It sounds like it might be the next arc at the very least

I’m watching this as I just finished last night the Dragon prince and I’m a rising talent this is my burner account but I will post about the Dragon prince under my account if you want it I can share it. I have always loved your videos and I have so many screenshots in this show and rants to my family about it so I definitely want more! I do singing, dancing, acting, and voice acting and I’ve watch Avatar and all of legend of Korea and got the box sets. So I get some of the reused plot lines and I recognize all the VAs from it cause this show and the Avatar Franchise has been a big part of me and my sister’s life.
I will watch Arcane soon my friends have and I definitely am a yapper so I will post all about it!

Well obviously the story isn't over
But they promised their fans 7 seasons to satisfying conclude the series. They asked for another 4 to properly give an arc towards Aaravos and continue the story post the original mission of bringing back the dragon prince.
We even got a big fancy battle and a tease of what’s to come. Season 3 as rushed as it was, still gave a satisfying finale for the season and series despite having all the untapped potential of Aaravos never having been freed yet.
They waste 4 extra seasons on mostly filler, especially in 2 mediocre seasons. With the 4th honestly just being a bad season in comparison to the 5th. Literally only the 6th season has justified the expanded seasons. The 7th is just a disappointment and an anti climax that deliberately opened more doors poorly with no satisfying closure despite the creators knowing they probably wouldn’t have gotten more seasons.
Too bad they won’t get renewed for more, which was their fault for thinking they’d get a chance especially with the mediocrity they displayed in their writing of this arc.

But king harrow is obviously the bird as acting like one when he died and might come back who knows, also getting to see the kingdom built and fully structured, maybe in the future see the mix of callum and raylas kids as said by the elf kids and talking about mixed that would be interesting

Are they all dead minus zim or are there more either zim or zubeas age or in between? Cause then if there aren’t anymore arch dragons minus zim then when he dies all the arch dragons die with him. So are they gonna be more in arch 3 or no?

I'd say there is a lot of cross over concepts. Generational hatred and split lands, evil spirits. They definitely went deeper with the hatred and racism.
There's an even bigger one - the title of Episode 7 is "The Titan and the King", and it involves the historic retelling of how the current conflict came to be; it's giving biiiig "The Avatar and the Firelord" vibes, even down to both episodes having a twist reveal about ancestors.
I really hope they make another saga! I want to see what happens to Callum now that he’s used dark magic again and how it affects his relationship with Rayla in the future.

I don’t understand why the full story couldn’t be told in 7 seasons. Not to be mean, but they’re demanding a lot of time from their audience. I highly doubt Netflix will green light another season because you all seem selfish. Maybe a movie to wrap-up.
You all had a great opportunity with the story you’re telling, but 7 seasons should have been more than enough to tell it.
Can’t wait I sure hope they add more scenes similar to Callum getting busted for wanting 10 kids and I sure hope they don’t break up again that would make things crash I’m pretty sure considering how weird it was for Arc 2 also I hope it might not be set too close to the 7 years since 7 is a lot longer than 2 for a time skip but still would probably be better than legend of Korra and their 100 year difference
I hope there is a 3 arc. I expect several things from my theories.
1: Let there be an elven wedding of Callum and Rayla.
2: Callum doing primary magic, and not darker ones.
3: That Callum and not Claudia is cured of dark magic.
4: Let more dragons of the 6 races appear.
5: Ezran, Soren and Terry with couples, romance.
6: Callum mastering the 6 primary sources. More powerful than Aaravos.
7: Claudia trapped in a pearl, paying for her crimes.
8: Bring back Kk'par, Kim'dael, Ellis and Ava.
9: May Leola be brought back to life, with star magic.
10: The great star elves, giving Callum magic against Aaravos, and healing him.
11: Zym crowned king of the dragons.
12: Leola being raised by team Zym.
13: Callum discovering and opening the key to Aaravos. Secret power blooms across the continent.
While they could trap Claudia in a coin the path of using the pearl is gone now that ecosystem has been destroyed...
Out of all of those I mainly just care about the first one but the others do sound good too

I just finished watching this season. I enjoyed it but the more I thought about the more glaring issues I saw.
I am annoyed as hell You, showrunners, instead of giving us fans a satisfying ending to 7 season story, are baiting us with an open ending with almost no plot points resolved!
What's the damn point of investing myself in this story, when the biggest villain in the story will just respawn in 7 years, all archdragons are dead and the main heroes' power is weaker than before with archdragons' support? What the hell?

I love dragon prince, but thst finale, what a load of garbage.
Built up all the leola stuff, but we dont see her. Aaravos becomes a titan, but hes weaker than when he lived in a magic mirror. He should have been slaughtering people left right and centre.
The creators bottled the ending, completely.
Question Callum used dark magic to imprison Aaravos but was stopped. so does that mean Callum is corrupted by dark magic again or does he still have the light in him!!
This is just my guess, but Aaravos at least made it seem like he could only inhabit Callum after the spell was cast. In the last season, dark magic was described as creating a hole of darkness in a person’s spirit. If we were going with that analogy, then perhaps having a spell partially cast doesn’t fully open the hole, it just caused some stress. Like chipping away at some ice without fully breaking through. Or scraping your knee without drawing blood.
Again, this is just my guess. I think otherwise Aaravos would have simply possessed Callum.

@ pretty sure the consequences of reopening the hole are way worse. It’s been a while but from what Dark Callum said, it seems like using dark magic again will corrupt him beyond any ability to recognize right and wrong. Since that didn’t happen, I think we can assume he won’t be possessible.
